1. Last time that happened to me I quickly tried to move around in the chair until I found a motion that elicited something that sounded almost identical to the reverberant fart noise I had just let rip. It's not as hard as it sounds.....then if you're successful in recreating it, just look down at the chair and do it over a few times until the perception that you are a "flatulant" dissipates.  :flirt:

That's a sweet move...unfortunately for me, I was standing and not near any furniture. I was really hung out to dry (so to speak).

  2. Freakin' Beautiful! Well told, to boot.

My only concern is that you didn't try to pass the buck. Here's a hint:

Make eye contact with someone (preferably an attractive woman who just might blame you) and make that face...you know the one...roll your eyes up and then toward someone else (who you are blaming). Try to pick someone more slovenly than yourself (if that's not possible, pick the biggest A-hole in the room).

Now, one time at a meeting, I sneezed...and farted (loudly) at the same time (the sneeze blocked my usual control). There was no way to pass the buck and no way to deny responsibility. That was a toughie! Fortunately it was not particularly smelly. :flirt:

  3. "A man who has committed a mistake and doesn't correct it, is committing another mistake." How many more mistakes is it going to take in order for Coaches and the General Manager on this football team to be held accountable? Stop pointing the finger at the players and start looking in the mirror. It is not too difficult to figure out that a QB shuffle after four games into the season has trouble written all over it. What IF Holcomb pulls out a victory against the Dolphins? What IF he plays well enough to carry us to another average 8-8 season? WHO CARES?

The Bills are taking another giant step backward and postponing the development of the so called "future of this team". I would think that two home games against division rivals are EXACTLY what Losman needs for his confidence. The only spark that this move is going to make is hopefully the one that sets flame to the resume that Donahoe has brought here. He had his chances and it DID NOT WORK!

I think everyone realizes that the Bills do not have the TEAM to make a strong run at the playoffs and beyond; so why not start the future now? Do Bills fans want to be sitting in this exact same position next year? Let's start off by cutting all ties to the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. How much damage can Donahoe, Clements and Mularkey possibly cause for our beloved Bills? If you think about it, this Pittsburgh trio has wreaked havoc on the organization. Nothing against Mularkey, but is it possible to get a head coach who has actually HAD experience as a head coach before his trial in Buffalo?

As shaky as the season has started, there is still a fleeting hope IF they adjust the play calling, give the damn ball to McGahee and inject a tenth of Takeo Spikes' determination into an underachieving Defense. There is a very well coached Miami Dolphins team coming to town and I can't think of anybody else who I would like to see the Bills release their frustration on. This is the arch rival coming to the Ralph and I can guarantee any patience the fans have left will be unleashed on anyone and everyone if the downward spiral continues.

As far as predictions go, I don't think I can pick the Bills offense to beat any team with a defense that dominates like Miami. The Dolphins have a strong running game, great coaching and a solid defense. I don't need to spell it out BUT these three components have created disaster for the Bills for the past 5 years. I hope that I am proven wrong but I don't know which is going to be more dangerous; the Dolphins or the Boo Birds!

    Couldn't agree more!

    Peace,

    Steve

You are agreeing with yourself?

  4. Most worthless Stadium Wall poster ever.

    459081

i always wondered why a guy would choose, for his handle, a disgruntled former-employee of the Bills. A guy who sucked so bad as an NFL minor assistant coach, he couldn't even get another job ANYWHERE even as a QC coach...or waterboy.

The only reasons I can think of for choosing that idoit's name is

    1. He's not a Bills fan. If that's the case, screw him. Who cares?

    2. He REALLY IS Chuck! If that's the case, he's a disgruntled former-employee of the Bills. A guy who sucked so bad..... Als, one of the worst radio sports-guys I've ever heard (and I've heard Pete Franklin!) So, screw him, too.

People who's only purpose is to stir-up controversy should be ignored. (Yet I just didn't do that, did I? :( )

  5. Never EVER blame the booze!

Seriously, some people should be labeled with "Instant Idiot: Just add alcohol". It seems a lot of those people show up to games, unfortunately.

I've worked in a lot of bars in my day, and it's amazing how some people just change (for the worse) when drinking...yet, continue to drink day-in and day-out. I think they should be videotaped for viewing when they are sober...perhaos that might influence their future drinking. (unlikely, I know)

I told a woman I know that a mutual accuatance was a freaking idiot (I have so much tact). She said, "he's only like that when he drinks. When he's sober he's fine." My reply was that every time I saw him he was drinking...so, to me, he's an idiot.

If you're an idiot when you drink, and you drink all the time...you're an idiot!

  6. From everything I've seen so far, the pass protection from the OL this year has actually been ABOVE where I think many of us expected it would be (blitzes not withstanding). The run blocking, though "easier", has been more of a work in progress which definitely needs a lot more tuning. They need to keep at it to make the running game work, but overall balance will be the key. I am with those who call for a 50/50 run pass ratio.

    451488

I think to some degree the "improved" (slightly) pass protection is probably somewhat due to JP being there instead of Drew. Obviously JP has escapablilty and that plays into how the D-line rushes. With Drew, they could just haul-off and go for the spot they KNOW he'll be. They didn't have to worry about containment...scrambling...etc.

It's a little more difficult with JP.

  7. I wish that being a starter on an NFL team is motivation enough for a player. Why does it take a public flogging to play like a star when he should be playing hard every game ? This is not directed at WM but every player that goes out with 'something to prove'.

    451504

Public flogging? I don't think MM came anywhere near that with his statements...do you?

  8. Heck with it - incurable homer that I am, I'm going to pick the Bills. Some possible reasons:

    1. I think the Buffalo WRs can get open.

    2. The beer-fueled crowd will be going nuts when the OTHER team has the ball this week, which should help JP's game.

    3. Including the playoff game in Philly, Atlanta currently has a five-game road losing streak.

    4. That 11-5 record they put together last season? They only played three teams with winning records - heck, the Bills played more than that in the DIVISION.

    5. Willis runs wild.

    6. Since I am such an incurable homer and I hate the two-hour drive home after a loss, I put in a special request with the Football Gods.

23-17, Buffalo. (Hey, that score worked pretty well the last time.... and if you actually wager based on my opinion, you're certifiable.)

Gotta go to work - catch y'all later....

    451816

Excellent call, Lo. And like you, I picked the Bills in my pool (just not in my suicide pool). One question: "Beer-fueled crowd?" In Buffalo? Really? (

    (OK, that's 3 questions...sue me.)

  9. Your history lacks, Ed... :P

Throughout civilazition, it was known that excess sexual activity was a vector of disease.

Homosexual, heterosexual, whatever.  The sad fact is that the homosexual so-called "lifestyle" is sexually active. Any heterosexual that approaches the number of yearly sexual liasons as seems evident among homosexuals is also a public health menace. The more you do, the more you get...it.

Veneral disease is a fact, although we now have the innocent term STD these days.

Long before our feet beat upon this continent, societies figured that out, and folded that fact into the obvious fact that monogamous marriage not only produced the young to keep the whole thing going, but also went a long way to ionhibit herd mentality.

    451772

The crusade of ignorance is in good hands, I see. This is just too freakin' stupid to respond to.

(And, yet I just did.) :(
