  1. Exactly what I was thinking as I was reading your directions. After spending 6 hours in a bar watching football, some of even the simplest tasks become become pretty daunting. Just have to figure out a reason for my wife to come into the city for the day. She can go shopping for the day and just drop me off.  <_<

NOW you're thinking! Actually, getting there is easy. You could just give her a good reason to come into the city to pick you up.

Anyway, if you get there, make sure you stop by and say "Yo".

  2. How hard is it to get there from the East Bay??? It would be cool to hang out with other Bills people but that is a long drive home if lit up!  <_<  Not sure if I could handle the Bart and then transfering to Muni, if thats what it took.

Actually, It's a very easy transfer. Get off BART at Montgomery and walk 1/2 b lock to Market and 3rd. Take any of the following buses (30, 45 or 15) to the corner where Columbus, Stockton and Green meet. The NS is one block up Green at the corner of Powell.

It's way easier than it sounds.

Getting back after drinking with these freakshows...now, that's a-whole-nother story.

  3. I bet its much easier to find a Pats bar, aka Brady Lover's Bar, in San Francisco then a Bills bar....just a guess though....

You'd be surprised at how hot the babes who come to watch the Bills at the North Star are. Of course, none of them will talk to me after half-time as Aaron gets me too wasted. Bastard!

  4. I looked over @ sfbabb.org (San Francisco Bay Area Bills Backers) and noticed they had a spot not that far away.  I'm just wondering if those types of setups are open to anyone coming down, or do you have to be "in".  Going to be up there just saturday to sunday and was looking for somewhere to peek in and check out the game and have some beers before heading to the airport.

You are in luck. There is a nice little tradition in SF (that was started by The Senator and myself back in the early 90's...please, no applause)...the North Star Cafe on the corner of Powell and Green. Here's a little profile:

Pretty cheap and a LOT of fun. Anyone is welcome. There was actually a TB Bucs fan there last week flying his colors. His sneakers were great. I think he had a good time surounded by Bills fans. Course, he helped that his team won, I'm sure.

Meet us there and I'll buy you a drink!

  5. To (seriously) answer your question, BenchBledsoe, Lori is one of the most respected members of this board, if not THE most respected.  She's as knowledgeable a football fan as you'll find here, and doesn't usually partake in the sophomoric hijinks that go on here.  So, to see her name being added to the fracas made those who know and respect her jump to her defense.

And to think it was The Dean who introduced Lori's name into the thread. Methinks that bastard should take a hit here, too. :(

    (methinks?) :o

  6. Wasn't there a time when you were Trendi Chick?

I'm happy to report the operation was a success! :D

I'm not sure why anyone would have confused me with her. It was during one of many unexplained absences. She must have made one or two incredibly intelligent posts which, of course, led some to believe I had returned.

Or, perhaps she told a fart joke.

    BTW, WTF happened to spell-check?

  7. Jackrabbit done run cross that road

Goin’ to motel in the sky

That rabbit done, story been told

Why that jackrabbit done go die?

Old turtle go next cross that road

He crawlin’ as low as he can

That turtle done talk to that toad

    Turtle don’t cross here again

And B.harami goes whichever way the wind blows

Young chicken done cross near that road

He listen to traffic go by

That chicken done, story been told

To get to the other side

I warn ya, don’t go near that road

    I know that road, it’s a B word

I walk right next to that road

All hanging out in the ditch

If ever you travel that road

You better keep over your side

And keepin’ your hands on the wheel

That road be a long road to ride

Nice. But who the heck is Bob Mould? And how does he know b.harami? :)
