They are usually one of the worst defenses in football, with a defensive HC, and a talented defensive roster?
Then isn’t that the GMs issue?

Is it safe to say that Herbert covered up a lot of Staley's ineptitude?
Why do you blame Staley?

To be fair, the Chargers had 5 turnovers and the Raiders had 2 defensive touchdowns. And four of their offensive touchdown drives started on the Chargers side of the field. Only gave up 386 yards total. This wasn't the Denver defense against the Fins. The Chargers offense handed this game to the Raiders.
Yes they had short fields post turnovers.
the offense went into cruise control after 3rd Q kick off drive for their 7 th TD. After being up 49-0, the chargers went 22-7.

Does this mean it isn't coming to Buffalo in 2027?
If they domed it would it come?

I would say, play it like an incomplete pass. Ball goes out of the end zone, go back to the original line of scrimmage and next down.
Illegal forward fumble…10-15 yard penalty.
on the flip side…..
on kick offs…if the ball bounces twice in the field of play, then goes out of bounds the ball gets spotted there. One bounce and out makes it complicated for the kicking team fielding it.

Looking at Miami’s remaining schedule (Jets, Cowboys, @Ravens, Bills) and then the Bills (Cowboys, @Chargers, Patriots, @Dolphins) what are the odds of Miami dropping 3 and the Bills winning out? I don’t think we would win the tie breaker so the fins would have to lose 3 which is entirely possible since they’ve played a complete cupcake schedule this season. They haven’t beat one good team yet and just lost to the Titans. They are hands down the most overrated team in the league. Bills demolished them by 4 TDS. The more I think about it, this could be the easiest path to the playoffs. Dolphins face a final 3 opponents w/ a combined record of 27-12. What yall think?
you have 4 games left.they are 1 game better obpver the next 3 games then they are one game behind mismi with the week 18 game. They win, then tie them, win division on h2h tiebreaker.
both play Dallas at home. Edge buffalo
bills at chargers, fins at Ravens. Edge buffalo This could be the week Buffalo makes up the 1 game they need to
Fins host jets, bills host cheats edge buffalo
Bills can’t clinch division if they go 3-0 and fins go 0-3 before they face off in week 18. Fins win they would have the tiebreakers.

It feels like Miami has had better attendance as of late. If that game is meaningful I don't expect it to be a Bills home game.
I doubt it will be as hostile as other places, but I don't expect it to be packed either. This isn't Jacksonville.Or 2019 in nashville…..

I don’t claim to have inside info. I work with a guy, asked where I was from (on a holiday work party) and he said he cousin is DaQuan Jones. He saw DaQuan during the bye week or week before. Said DaQuan was bummed about the injury because he knows he was playing at All-Pro level. He said DaQuan was targeting the Dallas game to return. I said “oh damn so a few weeks, yeah?” He said “yeah, he’s feeling good and wants to play again.”
again, that’s all I can offer. Whether it’s true or not will be told in time.
If that’s the case I think this week they “activate” him for the 3 weeks return to practice

I think at this point we can all agree that our ST performance has been mediocre across the board. It lost us the game against the Jets, Broncos and gave up a huge return today against the Chiefs.
Contributing to that is our kicking games. Sam Martin is averaging 44 YPP which is ranked at 32. Not good. The amount of times he’s had short punts or just not a lot of hang time this year seems countless.
Tyler Bass is also not Bass-O-Matic. He’s got a 80% kicking average which is ranked 29th in the league. He’s missed some important kicks and to me he has been making it look pretty difficult. He also doesn’t seem to have the leg and I think it’s pretty apparent based on McD not trusting him. The amount of times we’ve punted from the opponents 40 this year seems like it’s our new norm. It makes me envious seeing the eagles kicker kick a 59 yard kick to tie the game in the rain. Or the Dallas kicker nail a 60 yarder tonight.
I think Bass is having some mental issues and probably needs to be replaced next year. I have little faith in him if he is kicking with the game on the line.
Thry are responsible for thr OT loss to the jets because of a punt return?
Denver, philly, snd New England scoring game winning/ tying drives under 2 minutes left in the game.
guess we just blame Tre for getting injured too?

Is this a good/bad/no sign of Rodgers sticking around next year? As his boy just got cut. It also could mean Nate Hackett is on thinner ice. Thoughts?
Rodgers will be around next year. That's certain. Thry want to give someone else a try out.

I time stamped it to the exact point in the video. It goes until 7:30.
It's mind blowing. The exact same spot on the field over and over and over again, and we never adjusted. Great breakdown by Dan Orlovsky.
Kind of off topic, but Dan Orlovsky is the only person on this panel that has a clue. I feel bad for him, putting so much work in while his coworkers make fools of themselves. Take it from me and don't bother watching anything before the time stamp or after 7:30.
this is play design 101… you use the same formation and get them guess the play call but you bury in the play option thst exploits thst defense if they anticipate that play

Subject says it’s all. 13 seconds, kneel down game. McD time and again opts for the kick. Why not go for 2 and make it a 4 point game?

I’m as pessimistic as any Bills fan but I’m thinking there is no way this guy is hitting a 59 yard FG in the rain and wind on grass. I think the consensus is that Vinitari’s 45 yard FG in the snow to send the “tuck” game into OT is the greatest, most difficult clutch FG in history. After yesterday, it’s in second place.
They gifted him a time out break before the kick.

Things that stand out to me:
-Turkey Bowl football games in the morning(if there was Snow it was a Bonus)
-One of my best friends from childhood had Family in Ohio and they always went there for Thanksgiving; as a kid I was always jealous because it seemed exciting lol but then by the time we were in middle school we had gotten into fireworks and those Ohio thanksgiving trips took on a whole new meaning as he could bring me back some bottle rockets and firecrackers to NY
-After the Thanksgiving dinner had wrapped up, my Grandmother(RIP) bringing out the Sears and JC Penny Christmas catalogs and asking the kids to circle the items we wanted for Christmas that year; it was awesome knowing at that time Christmas was officially on!
-I was a WWF fanatic as a kid so watching Survivor Series(which took place on Thanksgiving night or Thanksgiving Eve back then) was a must
I remember actually looking at ads on thxgvg for sales.
My parents were the hosts of thxgvg. They would do the Turkey and the old school stuffing of sticking it in the bird. My dads sister and their mom ( and her husband when she was married) would come over for the day. Usually after dinner other relatives would come over ( usually my dads aunt, her son, her daughter and her son)for dessert.
my birthday can be close to thxgvg so my birthday would usually be done on thxgvg because my parents didn’t want to host people on Sunday and then on Thursday. The other reason this was done was because my older brother was away at college and then when I went to college I’d come home on thxgvg.
When my brother started dating his wife he’d do a split thxgvg. Her family usually ate early (1pm) at different places in buffalo area where it rotated among relatives. Then they would come to my parents around 630. My mom would save hime some stuffing and some Turkey they might eat then or take back to his place.
desert would be my birthday cake, my parents would have made an apple pie and a pumpkin pie( usually store bought)

I don't think they've been stopped with 1 yard to go when using this play so far. Basically undefendable. A HUGE advantage that you're guaranteed a 1st down whenever you face 3rd or 4th and short. But there HAS to be a way.. right? The best way I can think to battle that play would be come up with a whole new different defensive front. You need to get as big and as strong as possible. Leave the normal goal line DLine in. But sub out LB's and put Torrence and Dawkins in. And have them right on the butts of the DT. And when the ball is snapped they just plow into the pile and try and push it back or create a roadblock of sorts. Almost like a reverse tug of war... A push of war? And once you've stalemated the push, you can have guys jumping over the pile, like you see now, and try and drag Hurts down. To stop something innovative like their version of the Qb sneak, you need to be innovative yourself. Could this work? Does anyone have any other ideas?
On a 4th and G at 1 against Jets….QB fumbled forward…recovered by eagles…but since 4th doen it was reverted back to the 1 and Jets ball.

Simple brains like mine need simple explanations. Here's what's been ailing the Bills...
* Defense. Our defense isn't playing at its typically dominant level because of the injuries. We're missing too many good players.
* Offense. Dorsey and Josh have both been suboptimal. Josh's struggles largely stem from Josh but Dorsey contributed to, and amplified, his problems. But there is hope...
The D still still has injuries but manages to play okay. Whatever we may think about McD overall, he's good at defense. Over the years that he's been here, I think you could say about our defense that 'the sum is greater than the whole of its parts.' McD fields defensive units that play smart and play together.
The O may have already solved its problem. It's been plagued by predictable patterns of play-calling and an over-reliance on Josh's heroics & the Josh-Diggs connection. But we won big yesterday without Superman throws (or runs) from Josh, not a ton of air yards, and little contribution from Diggs. Brady might be the solution we've been looking for. He seems to call a better game than Dorsey and he makes Josh better.
We may need to win 5 of the remaining 6 tough games. The NY Times simulator gives us only a 26% chance of making the playoffs. But if the D can remain solid and hold opponents to 25 or less and the revitalized offense can average 30 points per game over the final stretch, which we know it can do, we have a chance.
the D has had a bunch of injuries. You could say theirD has 15 regular players in a 4-2-5 defense. Half have bern injured. The D has played well but they are a bend dont break D that is not a total shut down D. This adds vulnerability in defending 1 score games late in the game.
Thr offense got predictable in play calling and they haven’t seemed to adjust play calling for their opponent.
3 loses came down to the final minutes. The other 2 loses mistakes hurt them in those games with red zone turnovers.
