good point. i think that's been the key to his success. he's fast but he's not a burner, just very smooth. his super power is his reach and his hands, both extremely necessary as a WR when you are only 5'11"

Daniel Jeremiah's Top 50 Prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft
K D replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DT and LB - I think there will be a lot of value available at those positions when we pick, especially if teams go QB crazy early on and those guys get pushed down the draft board. Vea, Payne, or Hurst...at least one of them should be available at 21 and they are all day 1 starters in the NFL. I know the Bills are high on Smith the MLB from Georgia but he is undersized for the position in the NFL and could have a hard time taking on OL and plugging holes to stop the run. Evans has more ideal size for the position. Assuming the Bills don't trade up I think we can get 2 very good starters at 21 and 22 -
Par for the course for Mayfield. He makes a lot of bad moves which we will probably look back on and say yea that was a red flag we should have known better. If I'm the GM of a team I'm not putting my future in his hands
-
i think a lot of his fumbles were in the pocket because he drops his arm instead of keeping the ball high. it's going to be a real problem at the next level. edge rushers bending the corner know to reach for the ball in those situations

James Washington comes in at pretty much exactly what I thought. 5'10 7/8" and 210 pounds. he just looks like a RB and now we have the measurements that prove what my eyes saw. he had been listed as 6'1". that will hurt his draft stock a little and he could fall to us in the 20's. he's still a very good WR and has long arms and big hands. probably similar in size to Tyrod

i'm sure his wife agrees with this assessment if you know what i mean no because he played down south. every game was probably perfect weather. never played in the snow and i wonder if he has ever seen snow. there are only 4 listed less than 9" because you need large hands to grip the ball and success at the QB position is a direct correlation with above avg hand size
-
TRUST. THE. QB. PROCESS. if one of the guys they like slips i just hope they have a plan in place to trade up just in case. but i think there are too many desperate teams that pick ahead of them that will do what they need to do to get a guy. Broncos, Jets, Cardinals are all more desperate than we are and Browns and Giants would be silly to not take the top 2 guys

not sure what the truth is on that one but i found this info above. if his hands were indeed 9" or smaller that would be interesting to me
-
it must be a factor because nobody with hands less than 9" had any success. perhaps it doesn't increase your liklihood of success once your hands are larger than a certain size but it certainly shows they must be at least a certain size to be successful and in my own experiences i saw that myself. when it was cold or rainy i couldn't grip the football and i measured and my hands are 8.5" so that's probably why
-
i didn't watch a lot of their games so i won't pretend to be an expert but he wasn't even on a starter on his own team so can someone explain why everyone is so high on him? Chubb was the starter for all of the games I saw
-
not sure why you would think this is useless. if you can't grip the football there's lots of issues that can arise. add to that, when it's cold the ball is as hard as a rock and when its warm the air expands if you leave it sitting in the sun. also if you ever get a chance to get your hands on a game ball, they are slippery as crap. the QB's and kickers do their best to break them in but the slick coating from the factory on the new game balls is killer. hand size is definitely not a worthless stat. it doesn't tell the whole story but it is a valuable piece of information

We need a big run stuffing DT like that #99 they have

Nothing new here. Day 2 prospect who will probably get picked end of 1st round because teams are desperate. This week would have been a big indicator of his skills if he were able to play in the senior bowl. Teams need to see him under center making 3 and 5 step drops and reading defenses and looking off safeties and throwing 10-15 yard outs...you know, NFL QB stuff!

Kiper Mock Draft: Josh Allen #1
K D replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch YouTube highlights from Bryce Petty at Baylor. They are the exact same player. Doesn't mean Rudolph won't make it. It just means take these highlights with a grain of salt. It's an air raid offense with 1 read and really good WR's that are wide open. There aren't any tight window throws in those clips. They are lob passes down field to guys that blew by the secondary -
Is it a habit of yours to interview for jobs you don't want? I would think if they interviewed for the job they would want it.

you are the prototypical QB! quick, call McDermott. I'm 6'1 (maybe) and I have like 8.5 inch hands

What will happen with the offensive line?
K D replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dawkins is now the LT. I think they get rid of Glenn and get a cheaper option at RT. Miller is back in the discussion at RG due to power blocking scheme. -
hopefully he does some yoga and massage so they can stretch him out real good! https://www.si.com/nfl/2016/02/25/nfl-combine-quarterbacks-brandon-allen-hands

not fair that the Broncos were able to select Mayfield and Allen to be on their team. I've never heard of that before. seems like that should be against the rules. then you have to laugh at the mock drafts that have them not even selecting a QB. not only are they taking a QB but they might have to trade up to get the one they want. Jets and Cardinals will do whatever they can to get ahead of them over/under 6 ft for Baker Mayfield? he's listed as 6'1". i'm taking the under

[POLL] Are you going to watch the Super Bowl?
K D replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
like the college football championship ill keep an eye on it but i'm not too engaged unless something happens that interests me. in the college game they brought in a QB that could actually throw the ball so it made it somewhat interesting. in this game the only thing that could interest me is Tom Brady getting hit so hard he breaks in half and they have to cart him off the field on a stretcher. i don't think the Iggles have a chance otherwise. -
we are on our first dog ever. i dread when the day comes. we treat him like he is our baby. i can't even imagine. my best to you and your family

Gilmore is now beloved in NE (Yahoo Article)
K D replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it was a mix of a good play and a short throw. better throw (that's asking a lot out of Bortles) and that's a TD and everyone is saying how much of a bum Gilmore is. when he threw it i was like yes he's got him but alas the Pats are in the super bowl yet again -
Gym Shorts should just stick to being a DC. he's obviously very good at it. i'm sure he wants another crack at HC though. someone will give him a shot eventually. he's too good of a DC not to

Last year they had Deshaun Watson and Mahomes on the board and I thought they should have just taken whoever they thought was the best one. A lot of people thought that it would be Mahomes. I was not high on either but they needed a QB and either one was just as good as Trubisky. When they traded down I posted and said this will haunt us and we will watch these QB's career and wonder what if. Year before I didn't like any of the top guys. I did not believe Wentz would be any good because of the competition he faced and going to the pros and starting right away would be too big of a jump. Admittedly I didn't give him much of a chance because of where he played. People kept mocking to us Dak in the 3rd and I wanted them to take him real bad. I thought he was just as good as the top 2 if in the right offense. Connor Cook in the 2nd made sense too but I though he would go round 1 and I didn't think he was worth the pick because of his attitude. Cardale made zero sense and I got online to voice my displeasure and I was told I was wrong. Year before that the only person I liked was Jameis Winston. I saw him as the best QB since Luck to come out. I did not think Mariota would pan out. This year it's Josh Rosen. He is far and away the best of the bunch. If he falls because of his entitled attitude they would be dumb not to try and trade up to get him. He's the best QB since Winston and I think he can be better. Winston raped and stole and was still #1 and you aren't going to take the best QB since then because he acts like a know it all? That's silly to me. When he is in the pro bowl in 2 yrs come back and look this up and laugh about how he did not go #1.
