  1. Speaking of Racial overtones, Confederacy ties and all that nonsense aside, this song is a total banger.
  2. That's a bad tact. Focus your own points and discuss them on their merit alone. If you try to address too many, you'll no doubt over stretch yourself and insufficiently cover any of them and you will be subsequently picked apart.
  3. Jesus. There's nothing I'm more afraid of than Hollywood "educational programming" these days. I'd rather subject my children to Oz.
  4. A perceived black man? What does that mean? How is the act a potential change when it is something done for the first time in history? What would define a true change if not achieving the highest position in the land? Would the first Native American President or Woman President elected only be potential changes for those groups? Who are the racist whites? What data do you have to say that non-racists voted for him or that racists did not? Do you have links? Studies? Polls? Anything that can be propped up as proof? Apologies for my crassness, but it seems to me you're making sweeping generalizations with no data to defend your point. How do you define a racist? Someone who didn't like Obama when he was President? Someone who voted for Trump? It sounds to me as though those are your two criteria, and I highly suggest you rethink those assumptions or at least defend them if you wish to avoid further ridicule around here. I don't mean to dissuade you from voicing your opinion or going at length to defend it, but a man standing on a soap box spouting his world view without a shred of evidence will not be well-received anywhere, but especially not on PPP. At least without heavy disclaimers. I've gotten murdered here several times for forgetting that simple truth. Make an argument.
  5. That may be the first time in history. I'm gonna put you in my diary.
  6. I'm sorry your "Google-bot goes to back in time to watch Ancient Aliens build the pyramids" screenplay fell on deaf ears. Stay the course my man.
  7. You stated that: fortunately we have a golden example staring us right in the face: the fact that we elected trump should be the shocker that wakes you up to the reality that we MUST do something different now. This is coming on the heels of overwhelming victories for the first black President in his elections. Is Trump truly a "wake-up call" when the last 8 years have been a historical leap for Afro-Americans? But even though a hefty contigent of white folks voted for Obama, they were emboldened in their racism by seeing him there? What? This takes talking out of your ass to a whole new level.
  8. When you factor in that most comedians are Hollywood type social progressives, it's insane. This clip is very frightening and cringeworthy: You can see that Seinfeld is fed up and even Seth Myers is leery to agree with him in fear of backlash. I think there was a mindset of "we're fighting for what's right" that had credibility and it's now taken a life of its own.
  9. Eh, he's just basing that off of the interim failure rate in the NFL. I don't think he got the sense he truly had no shot. By all accounts the Pegulas liked him and he was near the top of their list. I think its more likely McD swept them all off their feet and left Lynn as the bridesmaid. If McD wasn't around, I think Lynn would've been the guy.
  10. Can you explain to me why electing Trump has washed away the achievement of electing the first black President? Did more folks become racist because BO was in office?
  11. Fair enough. Whenever you mentioned WR talent, I always took it as wanting another superstar a la Watkins on the roster. A significant deep threat who can out jump CB's doesn't come cheap. Is it possible you're discounting Roman's system and giving too much credit to TT? A cursory look at the YPC of his backups in SF shows that Kendall Hunter out YPCed Gore in 2012 and 2013. Not to mention peak Colin Kaep looks eerily similar to the least 2 seasons of TT.
  12. I hate this dude. The 2011 draft was star studded and we got the worst non-QB in the top 10.
  13. Honestly though, Karlos had one good season of YPC just like Powell and yet my sample size is invalid but you get to count fat weed man? Nah. I have to ask about your WR take. I've obviously followed your posts in the past. Have you not consistently asked for a wide-catch radius open when he's covered WR for TT? If he's shown he can make do with a couple of JAGs at WR, and our offense is designed to pass 20 times or so a game and still put up points, why not use our very limited resources on a pass rusher, a position we are sorely lacking in with the departure/retirement of Mario Williams, and if I've understood you correctly, the second most important position in the NFL today? Why couldn't Boom Herron and Boobie Dixon take advantage of TT's greatness?
  14. Ah, there's the problem. When I said regularly, I meant it was a regular phenomenon. I did not intend to imply >50% of backups out carry the starters. Just that any given year, there are usually a handful that do so.
  15. Because there isn't an RB you keep propping up that only had a good YPC for 1 season.
  16. This is where we start getting to a part where folks talk out of both sides of their mouth. Yeah the WR group was stinky this year. But TT's greatest skill is the fact that he buys enough time to utilize them due to his athletic ability no? So why in the world does he need more receiving help? It sounds a lot like an argument to keep TT while also attempting to make excuses for him. All in the same breath. Keep TT because he buys enough time make Hunter look good. But TT needs more help at WR instead of a guy like Hunter. Not to mention his startling inability to put the ball in a place where any WR can get RAC. By and large, that's what the most talented WR's in this league are paid for. If TT can't use it, why bother?
  17. No this is what happens when "journalism" becomes linking 3 random tweets. Twitter is a cesspool of idiots, and the assumption that a handful of tweets means that folks are "outraged," is downright ridiculous. Gets lots of play, though. Gets Presidents elected now, too.
  18. Gays couldn't marry a few years ago while there was a black President who won 2 terms overwhelmingly. Time to for the black community to get over it. Not to mention this country is actually breeding more racists today than in the last 20, IMO.
  19. Boobie over Fred in 2014. Crowell over Duke Johnson in 2014. Andre Ellington in 2013. Montee Ball in 2013. Spiller over Fred in 2013. I could continue but I don't see the point.
  20. Untrue but hey.
  21. So now, the offense alone dictates wins and losses!
