  1. I'm referring to your assertion that fans would want him benched. Why would they? They were winning games. What was his record though his first 14 starts?
  2. Why would someone want the QB benched if they were winning games?
  3. You tend to not get a lot of looks when you struggle to gain one yard and can't even pretend to block.
  4. He was worse than Chris Williams. I think the severe drop off in Wood and Pears have been explained by folks more well-versed in O-line mechanics than me.
  5. Whaley seems like a guy with a lot of contingency plans. I think a viable starter will be brought in. Nothing he could do with Kolb, and Orton. Whaley probably had a list of QB's he would possibly pursue in 2015 that he wrote 2 years ago.
  6. I don't think EJ is certainly done for either. I just think that with his play declining, resulting in a benching, it is understandable that some have lost faith. He hasn't played well enough lately to reaffirm the faith in him.
  7. Yeah that's definitely a challenge to overcome.
  8. I think most believe that there was a steady decline in his play over his career. Or he just got unlucky and had worse games later.
  9. I think the D was much better this season. More championship caliber.
  10. Except 10 of those INT's occurred in 2014, where Foles was developed as the starter.
  11. Still don't see a QB name that's been developed. Also, lol at bolded. Stole? Really?
  12. I can see this. Personally, I'm just happy the trade worked out in terms of draft status. If we ended up giving the Browns #8 or #9, that would suck way worse.
  13. So no QB's Kelly has developed then? Thought so. First place on the lead lap? What Cliche for Dummies book are you getting this stuff from? Your "analysis" consists of "Kelly is good, Marrone is bad, thus EJ would be a great QB." Kinda falters under even cursory scrutiny. It is amusing though.
  14. Foles was a fluke. Chip didn't even play him until Vick got hurt, and he's the sole reason for his 2013 success? We all saw how Foles came back to earth in 2014 with Chip "developing him."
  15. What QB's has Chip developed? Please, show me. What "genuine" HC do you want? Are you sure he'll have a better record than 9-7 next year? Also, hiring a good staff is integral to being an HC. The success of our D is fully awarded to the success Marrone had hiring good coaches.
  16. Lol. Ask Logan Mankins about loyalty. Harbaugh left his team because he was too much a kitty to show loyalty to his players and stay with the FO. He left.
  17. No one is disputing a better coach would make the team better, but that is no certainty. The fact of the matter is that the general consensus on this board is that ANY coach would be better. We weren't that healthy, by the way. Kiko, McKelvin, Gilmore, Dareus, AW, Chris Williams, Sammy etc were all hurt at one point.
  18. Who hired those guys? What side of the ball has this organization been dumping draft picks and pricey free agents in over the last 4 years?
  19. That's a big IF. Especially if him and Whaley were not on the same page, which it sounds like they weren't. I didn't see anyone calling Harbaugh a quitter, who left due to bouts with the FO. Kinda similar, in that regard.
  20. I know that a winning organization does not have 3 different HC's in 4 years.
  21. You know, I understand this. But from Marrone's perspective, he was kinda stuck between a rock and hard place. He wasn't a Pegula hire. There was no loyalty there. I think, in his position, I would have tried to go for a extension as well. That's just the business.
  22. So you would have thought about firing Harbaugh after his first season? That's kinda foolish, no? I can't EVER remember a first or second year HC winning a SB. Let alone in the modern era.
