  1. So EJ has been catapaulted into being the back-up plan since last weekend? Or two weeks ago? Because he's had some good practices?
  2. And now we don't have that plan. You know how fast QB's can rise and fall?
  3. Defense attorneys are very, very necessary in the US legal system. It's not sad. It's a necessity.
  4. Meeks is more the norm than Kyle, no?
  5. Yep. Or he tells Cambria he did it, and Cambria still has to defend him. That's what defense attorneys do. It's their job. Doctors have to save the lives of criminals on death row. Defense lawyers have to defend accused criminals even if they're guilty. That's the world.
  6. If they deemed there was no drop off, why was he #2 last weekend? So you think Cassel would've started if Taylor sucked?
  7. This team needs another Jonathan Meeks in the worst way.
  8. I don't know. It doesn't really make sense to me, to be honest. I'm not proposing it was done to pump up EJ or anything like that. I could see the reasoning to cut Cassel, and the reason to re-sign him. To trade him for a 2017 late round pick sorta goes against the reasons to re-sign him, IMO. He hasn't played for the Pats in 6 years and Rex has played them 12 times since, so I don't know what he could really bring to the table in that regard. I agree they thought a vet presence would help on game days, so why move him?
  9. He would've made zero if he wasn't on the roster.
  10. Cap space is cap space. I just don't see it making too much sense IMO. Unless EJ has been crushing it in practice. But even then, two weeks and the staff is convinced he's good enough to be the #2?
  11. So they brought him back and took his cap hit on the off chance a QB went down elsewhere and they could move him? Greg surely worked with Luck a lot as the TE/OL coach.
  12. I see him lasting one more year, barring them being the worst in the league. He went 10-6 back to back. One speed bump year wouldn't be enough to can him.
  13. See this where you obviously don't get it. The defense lawyer is on the side where she isn't a victim. This is why I asked if you understood his job. As strange as it sounds, defense attornies are concerned with their client's defense. Not what you think about him.
  14. So why did we sign Cassel two weeks ago? Did EJ make a huge jump running scout team last week?
  15. To attempt to prove their client's innocence? Mr. I Don't Wanna Jump to Conclusions over here. My point is you seem to think the defense attorney is supposed to not take advantage of a situation to aid his client. Which makes me question if you understand that he is doing his job. And his job isn't to "stay classy."
  16. Yep. I hope every team we play this year sucks.
  17. Does no one understand the point of a defense attorney?
  18. I'd say that sacrificing the benefits to our #1 QB so our #2 can practice a little more is a total mistake. True. Then we signed him and made him #2 and saved some cap.
  19. Or we could have both. And "win now."
  20. Is that why we re-signed him as the #2 two weeks ago?
  21. Who knows? This whole thing is surreal. Whoever likened it to a episode of L&O was spot on.
  22. All evidence is accounted for and located at Erie County Central Police Services. They have the original rape kit.
  23. Well we replaced him with David Vaughn. So that's a good step. We'll see if this 5th round pick in two years is worth it.
