  1. 50% chance vs the chance of the teams without good QB's... I'm sure that's close to 50%, right? Austin Davis and Chad Henne always make the playoffs 50% of the time. Fitz too. Hell, McCown has made it 50% of the time, right?
  2. There are a few words I'd use to describe how I feel about Simon, but "concerned" definitely ain't one of them.
  3. This is really sad. Guess who else had more INT's than TD's in the playoffs in their first three years? John Elway. Never had a year with more TD's than INT's in the playoffs in his first three years? John Elway. Even more hilarious is the Jake Plummer remark. Yeah, Luck's third year was "literally" closer to Jake's 9 TD 24 INT 3 win third year than Elway's 22 TD 23 INT 11-5 year. I can see the resemblance! The kid is having a down year. You should apply to First Take with your penchant for insane hyperbole.
  4. Aw, what did I ever do to you?
  5. I am actually enjoying the hell out of this, don't stop.
  6. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  7. Many. Folks have short memories. Because Jimbo eventually did some great things and now embraces Buffalo, they forget he was just "okay" his first two years in the NFL, he was a partier, and the team wasn't winning. The inherent logical fallacy is "Yeah Kelly was a partier, but he's a HoFer." That's what he is now. Not what he was when he started. To be fair, Kelly's antics were not nearly as well known. I think if social media had been a thing back then, Kelly would've gotten killed. Maybe his whole career.
  8. Nothing matters until you have a QB =/= All you need is a QB.
  9. You need a good QB. And you always will.
  10. How about the fact he is not under contract past these season, while other GM's are? And that no word of an extension, not one, has come out? And that he has a new owner, who already gave the FO of a different sports team one shot, then canned all of them? Right. Whaley and Ryan Pace are equally secure. Give me a break.
  11. Huh? The title is that his future is in limbo. Which it is.
  12. There is an "increased level of possible danger" when literally anything happens.
  13. This has to be intentional.
  14. Because he traded down doesn't change that he still invested a 1st round pick in him. Maybe he didn't love him enough to trade up for him. But he loved him enough to invest in him.
  15. I have never shot or threatened someone with my weapon. I have fired a fun at a range. That's it. How am I infringing on someone's rights? Threatening with a weapon and murder are both illegal. Those are both things already noted as using your right to infringe on someone else's and are not allowed. Get your own.
  16. What does it say about Hilary?
  17. I mean, if we're gonna pretend that the reports from 3 different news sources are all wrong, why don't we just pretend that EJ won the job and looked great in camp? I don't think Whaley said that "EJ is for sure our starter and you're not hired if you don't think he's great." Don't lump me into the extreme of another side. I just don't see drafting a guy in the first round, believing he can be the future of the franchise, and then flip-flopping 2 years later and not caring who wins the job. Whaley isn't a robot, and is as prone to biases as any other human. To claim he has no attachment to EJ Manuel is as unlikely to me as claiming that Whaley is hell-bent on EJ working out. I believe Whaley would and could absolutely trade for the best possible back-up, and sign a throwaway guy (who TT was at the time), and still be thinking/hoping EJ would be the starter. The open QB competition is the coaches decision, not the GM's, no? 90 man vs 53 man and all that?
  18. I'd only retain RIchie. Glenn only looks good because he's playing next to an All-Pro. He's not elite.
  19. How does my right to bear arms infringe on anyone else's rights? I'll wait.
  20. Okay fair, but I thought he was taking that elsewhere.
  21. I wouldn't expect him to push for a QB who lost his job to a half retired Kyle Orton. That makes you a moron. We were probably saved by Rex Ryan becoming HC. Otherwise, we may have seen a sham Cassel vs. EJ camp fight, where EJ got the nod again until we went 1-5. The Bucs didn't push for "developing" Glennon when they hired Lovie. The VIkes didn't push for "developing" Ponder. Oakland didn't push for "developing" McGloin. Only the Bills made their sucky QB magically becoming good a job requirement.
  22. "According to The Buffalo News, Whaley mentioned Manuel in recent coaching interviews and told candidates that progress had to be made in developing the young quarterback." He's not asking how, he's saying that they need to develop him. As in, it's a requirement. That's the definition of "pushing EJ on people (the HC candidates). Another quote. "Additionally, Whaley’s reportedly “made it clear” that he wants the team’s next coach to do more to develop Manuel." Continue to stick your heads in the sand. Whaley may see the light now, but he was hitching his wagon to EJ again after 2014.
  23. So you hold interviews based around a QB even though he's basically a last ditch effort? Doesn't make sense.
