  1. I'm using passing yards per game, which was right around league average. Tyrod may have been more efficient, but he didn't win any games with his arm. I'd argue that Incognito and to a lesser extent Miller are also additions to both the passing and running game. As well as a revitalized Glenn.
  2. Tyrod had better weapons, a better O-line, an infinitely better running game, and couldn't manage a better winning percentage than Kyle Orton. And Kyle Orton managed a better passing attack with all of those things being worse. You're welcome to disagree, but I don't think it's that far-fetched.
  3. We had 4 ProBowlers locked up for the next two years and potentially more. Rex will be lucky to see a third year. Seems like long-term won't matter in either case.
  4. Depends on when it happened. For all we know, it wasn't listed on the report for a few weeks.
  5. Tyrod is absolutely one of them, but an All-Pro caliber guard, a competent OC, a decent TE weapon, Shady, Karlos, even Gillislee would've improved KO's scoring as well. Would Sammy be invisible for the first half of the season or would KO deliver him the ball? Would Woods have his worst career year or would Orton spread the ball around? We may not have had the #1 rushing team in the NFL with Orton. But our passing attack would've been much improved. Keep in mind, we were right around average in terms of passing #'s in 2014 when our running game was one of the worst in the NFL, and our O-line was garbage. I'd say I lean towards Orton being better in 2015, but I'm not going die on that hill. Tyrod has a chance to improve and Orton was who he was.
  6. Perhaps, but IMO Orton was a better field general and leader in the huddle, and going through his reads. As you'd expect from a 10+ year vet vs. first year starter. I think you could argue Orton wins more games than Tyrod in 2015.
  7. The quintessential Metz post, opening with the "I'm a neutral observer" angle to appear to be playing fair and impartial, then giving the one-sided opinion right after.
  8. Not undisclosed, but he was battling a foot injury around the midpoint of the season. That could hamper some of his explosiveness. It was right around the bye week, where his stats dropped off.
  9. Rice was charged and indicted for aggravated assault before Rog did anything.
  10. That has nothing to do with this. At all. If Clay gets hurt and never plays a down again, we still can't cut him. So who cares?
  11. I thought Rex ran Schwartz' scheme and that's why we struggled.
  12. I find the drama being "played up" was untasteful. I know, ratings and all that.
  13. Yep. Of course it was going to happen. And CNN directing every question at Trump, and placing him in between Cruz and Rubio also plays a part.
  14. Thank you. All I was looking for.
  15. Time to defend himself doesn't invalidate him getting ganged up on. You know that.
  16. I don't think it really does. The whining is a bad look. I don't disagree. But does it seem like this debate has crosshairs pointed at Trump for Cruz and Rubio to take shots? Yes. And again, a good candidate would handle it and still win on the individual points. Trump has his hits and misses. But if you want to tell me that they aren't ganging up on him, I think you're so wrapped in your dislike of the Donald to the point of delusion.
  17. Do you think that's entirely unwarranted?
  18. Trump is getting hammered, both by the focus of Blitzer and the Rubio/Cruz tag team. I don't know how I feel about it.
  19. Even more so, the top 3 TE's usually don't hit the open market. Sometimes you have to pay top 10 players top 5 or top 3 money if you want them to come as FA's. It's the nature of free agency.
  20. I could really only imagine it being the latter.
  21. His cap hit over his last 3 years will be $9M, which is quite a lot. To put that in context, Gronk's will be ~$10M.
