  1. Talk about an ideology eating itself. Completely based in idealism, but don't be too idealistic.
  2. Ha ha, you're joking, right? Have you been on the internet before?
  3. Okay. So we can't be sure we won't be the 32nd defense next year. We can't be sure Preston won't be the worst ILB in the NFL for 2 years in a row after having a decent rookie campaign. Just so you know. Schwartz's performance in Philly is still irrelevant.
  4. I disagree. Schwartz has been running the same scheme since he's been an DC. He has tweaked things, but the Wide-9, maximizing d-line, low exotic blitzing scheme has been the key points of every place he's ever coached. He is no more flexible than Rex. He will run his system in Philly, and if he has the horses, he'll be successful. If he doesn't, he won't. Rex came in and ran his system, just like Schwartz did. Rex's system just had the focus on the LBs and S's, our two weakest positions, where Schwartz' was predicated on the D-line, our strongest positions. It's not an excuse. Stop being obtuse. All the good QB's were getting the ball out quick? Like Peyton, Brady and Rodgers? Curious. You're just reaching now, just the opposite of how you reach for Rex positives. Somehow a year of experience in Rex's scheme means that our safeties, our linebackers, like Preston, will all miraculously improve, no? But another year in the Schwartz scheme means they'd magically suck. You want it both ways. You can't have it. Schwartz' system fit our defense. Rex's didn't. That's why before Schwartz left, we had one hole at S. We now have holes at NT, S, ILB, OLB, DE. This is indisputable. If you want to nitpick and say we may have only been top 8 or so in year 2 of Schwartz, so be it. I doubt we'd have been as bad as we were with Rex, and I can't imagine you'd dispute that.
  5. But that's irrelevant when we've had the perfect talent for his defensive approach. If he can't make it work the Philly, it doesn't matter. He would've made it work here, he already did.
  6. But the Eagles don't have the same personnel as the Bills. So how does what he does in Philly show anything on what he'd do in Buffalo?
  7. Saying the move was worth it, because if we didn't do it we'd draft bums, is an interesting argument.
  8. By virtue of referencing TD's scored after singular 3 and outs, you sorta are. Which is why I previously wanted to hammer out terms before delving into an analysis. Your analysis is cursory and full of contradictions. In the Redskins game off the top of my head, they scored on their opening drive. How does the offense having a three and out after that drive contribute to those 7 points? The Big Cat, on 16 Feb 2016 - 11:57 PM, said:
  9. No one has ever argued that Schwartz was some incredible defensive mind. Only that his system fit our talent like a glove. I'm surprised that you've missed that John.

  11. You may want to reflect on the numbers you used earlier, if that's the case. I don't know how anyone can say the offense having one 3 and out contributed more to a loss than allowing an 80 yard TD drive.
  12. The arrow is pointing up because we dropped so far.
  13. He thinks 2 3 and outs are the difference between a good defense and a bad one.
  14. 2014 games DET - Bills offense gets 2 first downs in it's first 5 drives. Bills defense forces 3 punts, an interception, and allow 1 TD. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. 1st NE game - Bills offense gets 1 first down in its first 4 drives, including throwing the interception on their own 26. Bills defense allows 1 TD in NE's first 5 drives, notably after the interception in poor field position. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. MIN - Bills offense run 20 plays in their first 4 drives, including 2 fumbles. Bills defense 2 punts and 2 interceptions, and allow one field goal in that time. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. NYJ - Bills offense has back to back 3 and outs after Bills defense forces 2 interceptions. Bills defense responds by forcing third interception. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. KC - Bills offense gets 1 first down in 3 straight drives. Bills defense allows 1 FG, 2 punts and forces a fumble. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. Miami - Bills offense gets 2 first downs in 5 straight drives. Bills defense allows 1 TD and 1 FG. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. NYJ - Bills offense has back to back 3 and outs. Bills defense allows 1 FG. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. CLE - Bills offense runs 4 plays and punts twice, throws an interception after 1 first down, goes 3 and out twice, misses a FG after gaining 1 first down and then throws an interception after 3 plays.. Bills defense allows 1 FG, forces 4 punts, and forces an interception. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. DEN - Bills offense has back to back 3 and outs. Bills defense allows 1 TD and force a fumble. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. GB - Bills offense has a 5 play drive ending in a punt, followed by back to back 3 and outs. Bills defense forces a 4 play punt, 2 3 and outs, and allows a FG. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. OAK - Bills offense throws a pick after 6 plays and has 5 straight 3 and outs. Bills defense allows 1 TD, 1 FG and forces 4 3 and outs. Not 3 80 yard TD drives, like the Redskins game or the Bengals game. Need I go on? Good defenses get off the field. When they do, you win more games.
  15. You aren't anything but an enigma, and a fun one at that.
  16. Because until you accept terms, you'll hand wave. I'm not putting in work you'll disresgard. Me.
  17. I pledged to refute it once we picked terms. We haven't yet. I've waited.
  18. Probably why we're hearing whispers of a new stadium 6 years before...
  19. I still love BC's citation for his argument is a cherry picked post he made. Look, I said it right here! The evidence is clear!
  20. When does the lease on the Ralph end? That probably would make the most sense.
  21. What does this mean? How was his "future" in doubt? He played on a horrific team and punctured a lung, resulting in a down year. Unlike Harvin, who hasn't had a good year since Minnesota and has battling a chronic hip injury for almost as long. Not all injuries are created equal. Here's a topic about how it's a good trade for the Jets to acquire B Marsh: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/176668-b-marshall-to-jets/ It's not a hindsight argument when I used all the data from before 2015.
  22. Well let's see. Brandon Marshall's last 3 years. ~3000 yards, 31 TD's. Percy Harvin's last 3 years. ~1000 yards, 4 TD's No one could've predicted who would have a better 2015...
  23. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 48s48 seconds ago New #Bills WR Leonard Hankerson signs a 1-year deal RT @HankTime85: #BillsMafia Confirmed.
  24. How about we suggest B Marsh is a million times the player and much more durable as a reason for the end result?
  25. Because we had two very good, very athletic DE's lined up wide, forcing outside runs to take longer angles.
