  1. Current situation. I have a 2003 Ford Escape. It has 66k miles (I've put on 25k in 2 years). I still owe $12k on it (monthly payment 350). I would really like to lower my payment by about $100 a month and still have a nice vehicle. A buddy of mine who is a car dealer told me that the best way that he could help would be to get me into a lease. I'm not crazy about it, but I may have to do it. Any thoughts?
  2. It is hard to believe that this incredibly hot girl was born to those 2 hillbilly trailer park-looking people...
  3. I've lived in Richmond for 18 years now, all in the West End. Real Estate prices are through the roof. My 1800 SF, 3BR 2.5 BA just appraised for $230k when I refi'd. I bought it for $160k 3.5 years ago. Prices are generally cheaper South of the river, but the schools are less desirable. Hanover county is growing and the schools are good. Real Estate taxes are a bit cheaper than the west end (Henrico). Overall, it is a good place to raise a family.
  4. are there any casinos or gaming close by. if so, is it poker/slots or all games? thanks for the info.
  5. Marriott North in Ft. Lauderdale? Or close by for that matter??? Heading down with my Pops. Don't get to do much with him these days, but scored some free tix and using points for free hotel.
  6. I work on Emerywood too...who does she work for?
  7. he touched the pylon. I replayed it over and over...oh well, not that it really matters now...Go Bills!!!
  8. I'm relaxed now. FYI, I've been on this board for 4 years, but rarely post because I'm not in any of the "cliques" and rarely receive much response, similar to this post. Sorry if it was a stupid question, but my brother in Rochester said he had heard that the game wasn't going to be on TV because it hadn't sold out. Back to lurking.
  9. Am I being ignored or does nobody know, or should I know this from another thread or something. Sorry to bother.
  10. I have bought from the Hanover Vegetable Farm (not sure of the number). it was $75 per truckload split and stacked. Seasoned pretty well when you first get it, but better the 2nd year fo sho.
  11. Pooj - for my wife's birthday, I surprised her with the following: - a night at the marriott at innsbrook (champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the room when we checked in) - dinner at Hondo's (there was a little card from the staff wishing her a happy birthday on the table) - We went back to the hotel, took care of business and then......I left. I gave her what she had been wanting since our youngest son was born. A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP BY HERSELF. I told her to order whatever she wanted for breakfast and to call me when she was ready to come home (I even arranged a 3:00 p.m. checkout if she wanted). She (and all of her married friends with kids) agreed that I was the KING.
  12. My wife saw our names in the newspaper for VA unclaimed property. We got a check for just shy of $600. One of my mortgage companies over paid property taxes and the county sent the money to the state.
  13. He went to a D3 school here in Richmond that plays on a field worse than the one I played on in HS. He obviously has some talent if he has stuck in the NFL this long, but I wouldn't use his blocking of 7 kicks as any measure of what he can do in the NFL.
  14. I wonder if I am doing something wrong. some images are completely clear (my old house in Rochester) and some are not even close (my current house in Richmond)...is it something I am doing or just a limitation of the program.
  15. Not that anyone cares, but I played on Sunday. Here are my opinions in no particular order: - very scenic, well maintained course - very poorly marked course as it pertains to yardage - the greens were hard and fast - the front is definitely shorter and definitely tighter - you shouldn't drink 20 beers at your niece's graduation party the night before you have a 6:30 a.m. tee time - $37 was a bit steep I'm sure everyone is most interested to know - 50, yes that's right a 50 on the front and a 42 on the back. My driver (which I should have not been even hitting on the front) was very wild the first several holes and got me in trouble. If I played that course 2 more times, I would easily play it in the low 80's. Thanks for all of those that gave me input...it was helpful.
  16. THANKS KEN!!!! don't think that I'm not printing this off right now!!!!
  17. tie - Starwars (any of them) and Titanic no desire to see them.
  18. thanks for all of the info. I am kind of limited to geography and time as I have to play something in the Spencerport to Brockport areas. I played Greystone (not from the tips) and played o.k. It was very windy and cold the day I played. I'm going to be with my dad who is decent but not long. It sounds this will be playable for both of us. I'll let you know how I do!
  19. thanks...i did get a glimpse of an on-line score card and write up and it basically said what you said...nice course, short but tight.
  20. I am coming up for my niece's high school graduation this weekend and my brother has booked a tee time for Twin Hills in Spencerport. Any opinions, tips on the course. I'm about a 12 but play on some difficult courses down here in VA. Any comments are appreciated.
  21. I really would have liked Cindy (the old lady) to win. Her attitude was great. I also had the hots for Jan.
  22. it is on the 5th tee - a par 3. This is the highest paying non-major tournament on the LPGA tour.
  23. I agree. She sure can talk some smack though. That is why I didn't like her.
  24. Thanks for the offer Pooj. It being mother's day and all, I think I'll have to pass. I was offered a luxury box pass on Saturday catered with chef and had to turn that down as well.
