  1. Actually the girls on the WGR trampoline would have been more entertaining, with the " nip " in the air.
  2. Indeed. Only 65 on Sunday but Sunny and 80 for most of next week. The pool stays open and more dinners on the Deck ! WOOHOO !
  3. That was sure a sloppy but exciting game between West Virginia and Maryland. The OT win by WV gives them a good chance to dream of a big BCS bowl game, which the Big East still holds an automatic bid to ( a crime ) . They play arch rival Va Tech in 2 weeks, which they should win. The rest of their schedule is quite soft. Little wonder Lee Corso picked them as a sleeper to be in the Big game come BCS time. Everyone else may suffer a loss while they drub inferior opponents for the rest of the year. Michigan struggled on Offense and hung on at home for a 3 point win over San Diego St., who's kicker missed a couple short FG's. Iowa got crushed by Arizona St. Minnesota has crushed 3 bad teams. Will be curious to see what they can do in conference play. Purdue killed Ball St. and Syracuse. They could be the conference surprise. Joe Tiller is an excellent offensive mind but usually has a Defense that gives up a lot of points. That's their key. Ohio St. played their usual conservative dull offensive game with Big play Defense and Special Teams... beat NC State 22-15. Opponenets call them the Luckeyes. Whatever. Since 2002 they are 29-2 with one National Championship. They win. Think Coach Jim Tressel has anything to do with this ? Tenn-Florida was a great game. Tenn wins on a long FG on the final play. 30-28. My 3 nephews all are Florida grads. I can only imagine how many times they said " Spurrier " yesterday. Zook is never allowed to lose a game. Auburn beat LSU in a true bad game. That was boring as hell to watch. Still, a huge win for Auburn. ND overcame an early blocked punt and put away Mich State. As a Buckeye fan, I thank them for beating both Mich. and Mich. St. ND is hard to read. They lose to BYU and then 2 nice wins. I give them props for having a tough schedule every season. Willingham is a good coach. USC, Oklahoma and Miami all had some easy wins. Georgia looked sluggish while beating Marshall, the best 0-3 team in years. Conference play next. Player of the Week - RB Maurice Drew - UCLA - 26 carries 321 yards 5 TD's Great stat line-after the 1st Quarter - Drew has 4 carries- 163 yards , 3 TD's Any impressions you wish to add from yesterday ?
  4. Or geeky ones who call other fans fat white trash.
  5. UCLA leads Washington 27-24 at the half. I take it Walt Corey is the Huskies Def. Coor.
  6. Janakowski was a 1st round pick by Oakland. This guy is FAR better. No way does he make it past Round 3 of the draft. I watch every Buckeye game and have followed college football since the 60's. He's the best I've ever seen at this level. 50-55 yard FG's are like an XP for this guy. Drives the ball on kickoffs. Most are touchbacks. What's NOT to like ? He's $$ in the clutch.
  7. I'd be surprised if Oscar won. Hopkins should destroy him.
  8. Happy anniversary and welcome back !
  9. The minute I saw this Topic heading, I knew I missed my MENSA.com shortcut... Time to straighten out my favorites...
  10. Good luck Mile High.
  11. Though BC won 27-7, the UConn program is impressive. No one outside of Conn. even heard of their football program 5 years ago. Rack up some wins, grab a bowl game and continue to build a program on the rise.
  12. BOOYAH ! Now brush up on your ebonics and go straighten them out ! Git on Wit yo bad self !
  13. What's wrong with being the Village Idiot ?
  14. Pound it. It will make a Bills win all that much sweeter.
  15. Sullivan is his Bills contact.
  16. I can't locate my left hand...
  17. He can't sink a put. Their opponents have birdied all 4 holes !
  18. fourball
  19. I'm watching it right now on USA. Tiger-Phil are 1 down to their opponents on the 3rd hole. All the groups are just starting.
  20. Bandwagon fan. Giving up on the Louisville Brecks already...
  21. He supposedly got a play by play job doing basketball and some football for the Univ. of Arkansas. With the limited sponsorship for the Simoncast, there was only enough $$ for Simon and Neil McManus, his producer. So Brinson saw a chance at job security and left. Brinson had no ties to Buffalo. Simon has lived here for the last 25 years.
  22. That's very nice. For those who know coins, the U.S. mint has underachieved for many years. Canada's quality of coins has been far superior . Many beautiful designs of nature and adventure. The U.S. was content with Dead presidents and lacked any change or imagination.
  23. The explanation is not all that clear. Looks like this goes back to a period between 1996-98. Had something to do with defering parts of players salaries while accruing interest and agreeing not to waive a player before a certain date. I guess they supposedly did this to move $$ back towards funding the building of Invesco Field, the new Denver Stadium which opened in 2001. The NFL has been investigating this for some time. The people responsible for this no longer work for the Broncos, according to the Buffalo News. ( Isn't Pat Bowlen, the owner, still responsible ? ). Sounds like this could have been a lot worse. This was a settlement, which has been worked on for some time.
  24. You are an amazing person. What courage. If cloning had you in mind, I'm all for it. May the Gods always smile down on you.
  25. Morrison said Henry will play Sunday. Still has his ankle taped and has a slight limp from Sunday. Because he didn't participate in some drills yesterday, the NFL requires he be added to the injury report. He's not officialy " questionable " , as Howard Simon reported earlier. Bills are resting him until Sunday so he can mend.
