Easley was awesome. For a strong safety to have over 30 career picks in 7 years, that's pretty solid. Plus, 'til Reed won the DPOY back in '04, the last safety to accomplish that feat? Yep, you guessed it: Easley. Imagine how much more he could've done were it not for the kidney disease that cut his career short.

Thanks for the correction. Still, considering the 9 I listed, and the fact that I didn't list Reed, Lynch, Atwater, or others like Jack Christensen, I don't know if I would consider Cherry as one of the 10 best safeties of all time.
-
Not bad. Cherry was a fierce hitter as well as a sound cover guy. Top 10? Maybe. Lemme see.... Ronnie Lott Paul Krause Kenny Easley Ken Houston Willie Wood Sammy Baugh Larry Wilson Donnie Shell Darren Woodson ......is he as good as, or better than, Steve Atwater, Mel Renfro, or John Lynch? I dunno.

Yeah. She's pretty quick off the edge.

You have a point there. To go even further, w/ our coaching staff, we're probably not much better served getting a guy like LB Rey Maualuga, OT Michael Oher, or any of the top DEs, either. They'd just be wasted on these guys. Sad, but true. I'll say this: ideally, I'd take Crabtree if there's no stud pass rusher or LB available. Of course, ideally, Dick Jauron wouldn't be the head coach and his staff wouldn't be here either.
-
I've been preaching for quite some time of the Bills' need to upgrade their pass rush and to upgrade @ center and guard. That said, there's no player @ those positions better than Crabtree. If for some strange reason he's there, you don't pass that kind of talent up. Also, I hear that there's more than one round of the NFL Draft. Some teams even scout and evaluate talent to go well into Day 2 of the draft and beyond (undrafted free agents). Of course, w/ our lack of personnel evaluation, I guess you figure we're pretty much limited to a first round pick or nothing. I can definitely see that.
-
Possible, not likely Should we? Yes Would we? I'm not so sure Another receiving target, and a very good one to boot, is not a bad thing. This becomes a lot easier to accept if there are no stud pass rushers or OLBs available w/ the Bills' top pick.

No Paul Krause???
-
Hahaha!!! While Waters could deliver a mean hit, his coverage skills were lacking.
-
Tough one. It's hard to say that he's ahead of Ronnie Lott or even Kenny Easley, who was as complete a package @ S as I've seen. I certainly think he's working his way into the discussion though.

Mularkey a candidate?

It will be interesting to see what happens w/ Losman once he's on another team. Maybe he'll show people that he's not a quality NFL quarterback. Or maybe, just maybe, he'll prove himself to be as much a "turd" as guys like Bannan and Gilbride. I hope Losman does well elsewhere, just not @ the expense of the Bills. Please. -

You forgot Iggles TE Brent Celek, another Bills castoff. -
Steve Bischiotti is the owner now, and is one of the classier guys out there. That said, I cannot stand the Ravens and especially their fans, which makes it impossible for me to root for them.

Chris Johnson..."Rookie of the Year voting is bogus"

Did either Slaton or Forte split carries w/ a back that got an additional 200 carries and ran for 773 yards and 15 TDs? Considering he wasn't hording all the carries, that makes the season Johnson ended up having all the more impressive. He didn't have to whine 'bout the process, but he does have reason to believe he should've won the award. -
Uh huh. They were way overmatched last night. Better recruit some DBs that can match up. It's been fun ('cept for last night) watching USC's secondary play over the past couple seasons. They not only have the athleticism to match up w/ teams, but players like Mays last night and Terrell Thomas in seasons prior are as physical as any out there. That secondary has been brutal. Sure wish PENN STATE or the Bills played w/ that kind of tenacity.

'cause of the money? Next...

You too.

You think I'd get rid of one Wilson just to put another one up?

R. Rich buys lottery ticket. Wins $75 billion. Decides to retire immediately. Then.... buys Buffalo Bills buys and renames stadium (any ideas??) fires everyone

You're good to go, Anthony.

The Men of Troy really took it to PENN STATE yesterday. They were clearly the better team and continue to show that the Big 11 can't match up w/ the other majors in the big games. It gets irritating to hear the "I told you so" crowd after yet another crash and burn game, but 'til the Big 11 can man up in these games and shut these folks all up, it's going to continue. I personally cannot wait 'til that time comes and w/ the nature of sports in general, it is going to come. In the meantime, we get to endure the naysayers for @ least another year. Wonderful.
