  1. I wasn't. Steeler fans will travel to see their team. In most cases, that's the only way to see their team as their wait list for season tickets is over a decade long and the best way to get individual seats is through a ticket broker because of the stupid lottery system they have for issuing individual game tickets. Before M&T Stadium was built and the Ravens played their first 2 seasons at Memorial Stadium, the Ravens-Steelers games looked more like home games for Pittsburgh with their fans all over the place (like the Dallas game last weekend). With the new stadium being built and being almost all season tickets, they've gone through great pains to give their team the ultimate home field advantage.
  2. Although it isn't exclusively a Buffalo product, I spent $35 on a case of Saranac Root Beer recently.
  3. Nice. I've been to a few NBA games, all Houston Rockets games, but I've never seen Shaquille O'Neal in person before. Sorry 'bout the break-in. I hope they catch the punk (or punks) and bust their heads open.
  4. Is Boldin playing that game? I know he thinks he is, but I thought Green said he won't play until November 7th.
  5. Welcome to the Wall. Do you live in the Baltimore area? If so, you're more than welcome to come to the tailgate for the game. Check the pinned thread at the top of this forum. As for your Ravens, Boller isn't as good as they thought he was. I wonder if they regret not taking Leftwich when they had the chance. Also, your WRs just plain stink and have stunk for years! When's the last time one ever reached the Pro Bowl? Michael Jackson? That's been one of Billick's worst moves, I think: not getting a go-to guy for his young QBs (Redman, Boller) to work with. Your defense is tough and, like you said, they take risks due to their talent level (with Ed Reed at safety, you do tend to gamble more, as would most teams with a star player like that). That can hurt a team, but Baltimore hasn't been burned too badly so far. I think this will be a close game, but the Bills will have to be mistake free to come away with a win.
  6. Spoke too soon. A 5-8 weekend puts me at 39-37-2 overall.
  7. They're not only healthy, which they weren't last year, but they are actually progressing as players as well, especially Kendall Simmons. Imagine that.
  8. There is no damn inner circle!!
  9. Told ya so. I watched Roethlisberger from his last 2 years at Miami of Ohio on, and I had a feeling that he wouldn't be intimidated by playing in the NFL. It's early and there's still more football left, but so far, so good.
  10. Hahaha!!! BTW, I did get your test emails at both addresses. Did you get my responses?
  11. Gary, the defense is good, but without a consistent pass rush (one game does not cut it; they have to do it for the rest of the season), they'll never be a shutdown unit and will continue to struggle on 3rd downs. Yesterday was a good sign that maybe things will change. Then again, it could be a fluke. We'll see this Sunday what happens.
  12. Aaaaaaah, shaddup and send the damn email!!
  13. Vincent didn't get beat for a score, but he was late reacting to numerous plays during those games and his man caught the pass with seemingly nobody covering him. I don't think he's done just yet. I think he would really benefit right now from a move to FS. Milloy and Vincent do bring that veteran experience to the defense, but we still need solid coverage. Even with them on the field, I saw a bunch of times where guys in the secondary (even Vincent and Milloy) would look at each other in confusion after being beat for a big gain. A lot of this would be fixed by a good pass rush, so it isn't all on the DBs.
  14. The backside pursuit would've caught Konrad before he had a chance to score, but it would've been a big gain.
  15. I have it on tape.
  16. Sounds reasonable to me.
  17. True. Maybe top 11 money, but that's about it.
  18. No, no, Clements. You listen to rtconner. Who doesn't?
  19. He's worthless every day. All he does is spend time on a message board. What idiot would do that?
  20. Why can't Chris McAllister, generally regarded as one of the best cover corners in the league, cover Evans? You think he's never had to go up against a guy with his speed?
  21. Why? Didn't annointing Quentin Griffin the next Barry Sanders work for him?
  22. Instead of starting numerous threads, maybe we can pitch all our trade ideas in one.
  23. Maybe that's why Sam Adams threw a hissy fit on the sidelines. They had the OL in there trying to stop Sammy Morris.
