  1. It is sarcasm, but I do it to point out how ICE is all for making judgments on a player based on a school's track record, but doesn't apply the same logic to Big 12 QBs, who have continued to flame out in the pros. Do I think Bradford is another Major Applewhite? Actually, no. But if you can have concern for a guy like Bulaga for the reasons stated, certainly you can have concerns for Bradford for the Big 12's QB track record.
  2. Unfortunately, it isn't worth what it once was. Considering how many players get voted in, then cancel out for a variety of reasons, only to have replacement guys come in, many of whom will follow suit and cancel out, then you get the third choices and so on, the Pro Bowl has become a shell of what it once was.
  3. And, to think, that's just one coach, as opposed to an entire conference full of coaches who routinely put out less than stellar QB prospects: the Big 12. I think they've "hit" on 1 out of their last 9, and that one is Vince Young. I guess that means we should take a pass on Sam Bradford then.
  4. So, we're going to make judgments on a player based on a particular's school's.....or conference's....track record w/ the position, are we?
  5. More of an inside joke to KRC, as we both get a laugh out of the Sportscenter generation's opinion on the history of the game, which usually starts from Super Bowl I. Sure. Why not? Can't say I recall those. Well, I am hoping that I finally get that elusive diploma this year. Oh, and it's 20,000 plus, but who's counting? I'll keep studying for my tests while you continue helping the masses as an accountant. This is probably the least informed response. But, what do I know? I'm still in high school.
  6. That can't be true. There's only been 44 Super Bowls, so...
  7. It isn't? Are you sure?
  8. Wild Card round results and All-League team selections are posted.
  9. There are elite QBs this year????
  10. That was beautiful.
  11. Those are decent enough options. Okung would be a good LT prospect, Bradford and Clausen are the top QBs available (though I still don't believe either are "franchise" QBs), Williams looked incredible @ the Senior Bowl and was a handful and Bulaga could end up being a very good RT. All would address areas of need for the Bills.
  12. He's had double digit sacks in 6 of his 8 pro seasons. That's a heck of a lot of contract years. I'm not saying break the bank for this guy or to even sign him @ all, but let's not stretch the truth here.
  13. Do not attempt to circumvent the language filter, please.
  14. Training camp apparently cannot get here soon enough.
  15. It's the deepest position in this draft in terms of talent, so that's why there's so much emphasis being put on 'em now. There's two guys @ the top of the draft who could be the first two overall selections and behind those guys are another 4 guys who may be ready to be impact players for whichever team drafts 'em.
  16. Week 16 results are posted. Also, playoff seedings and draft order for non-playoff teams are listed.
  17. You do realize you're posting this on the Stadium Wall, right?
  18. Thanks, folks. I appreciate it. Since I got to spend the entire day w/ my wife, it was a wonderful birthday. Of course, she had to be to work @ 5am today. Ah well, birthday's over...
  19. I think Saffold is okay. He's a decent enough athlete, but has issues w/ his balance and w/ bull rushers. That doesn't scream blindside protector to me. Black has the bulk and the power, but boy did he get exposed (as many of the OTs did in Mobile) as a guy who couldn't handle edge rushers (Brandon Graham is forever in your debt).
  20. Work and tons of other stuff (some good, some not so good) interfered, but I am hoping to bounce back in time for the NFL Draft. We will do another 3 round mock draft, and I will work to do some write ups on players of interest.
  21. Is that all?
  22. I'll bet he does crawl into a shell in those cold, wintry moments. A shell like this...
  23. To be fair, many would consider the QB as part of the infrastructure. It is very tough to win in this league w/out quality play from the QB position. I try not to take sides. If the Bills luck out and Bradford or Clausen are available w/ the 9th pick, I won't go crazy if they take 'em. But, I also won't go crazy if the Bills don't draft a QB and instead focus on their lines or their LB position (especially after hearing of their move back to the 3-4 defense). This team needs way more than just a QB or just a DT/LB/OT to be competitive, so there's no need to take a side.
  24. That's your opinion on the LTs. There are those who feel a guy like Russell Okung is the kind of big, athletic OT that can be a stud LT in the pros, just like there are those who feel Bradford and Clausen MIGHT be a franchise QB. The league certainly has gone pass happy, but to say it's that way or the only way is to ignore the nice run the NY Jets had. They show that it is still possible to play sound defense, run the ball well, and have success. (I can hear the ", but they didn't win the championship" folks already....)
