  1. Considering the Bills would probably have to move up to get him, and probably lose a 2nd round pick in the process, that kinda hampers the whole "build 'round him" thingy when you don't pick again 'til round 3. Good luck finding a blindside protector or a run stuffing NT of any quality then.
  2. Per the draft value chart, the 5th pick is 1,700pts and the 9th is 1,350. It would take the equivalent of the 55th overall pick, a lower 2nd, to equal the 5th.
  3. True. Then again, you're not the one opening up the checkbook and paying this potential RT as though he were a LT. Man, does the next CBA need to address rookie salaries. Badly!
  4. Some would say the exact same thing 'bout the QBs in this draft.
  5. Maybe so, but I'm gonna need to see more evidence. We've been down this road w/ Big 12 QBs before, haven't we?
  6. The Bills are converting their defense to a 3-4, a defense they ran back in the day, but one that they're horribly equipped to staff right now. I don't think going after an ILB is a bad idea if the circumstances work out that way. For instance, if there's no OT or QB worth the 9th overall selection, then take the best available player that will help you. Just my opinion, but I'd take a guy like Rolando McClain over basically anyone out there, w/ the exception of Ndamukong Suh or Russell Okung, who probably will not be available w/ the 9th overall pick.
  7. Week 14 results and updated playoff scenarios are posted.
  8. Hmm...@ a quick glance, this looks like a possible list of the top senior players, regardless of position. The absence of underclassmen like Joe Haden, Eric Berry, and Dez Bryant is a dead giveaway.
  9. You're in luck: they both did. He will, and deservedly so. Then again, so will Reed @ one point. Even though Reed is a bit of a jerk, he was one heck of a receiver.
  10. Big props for City Champ (Jackson). It's a well deserved honor and very timely w/ the Saints getting to the Super Bowl this year. Way to go, Dome Patrol!
  11. Wow. That must've been something to see.
  12. Baltimore has been hit w 'bout 22 inches of snow. Nice n windy out there now, so shovelling is futile.
  13. Same here in the Baltimore area. They closed us down @ noon today, and for all the snow we received, we could've worked the rest of the day easily.
  14. I'd rather see 'em bring in John Stallworth.
  15. Just watch any of these ESPN-ish "who's the greatest" polls and you'll find that out. Check your PMs.
  16. Yeah, but how many Super Bowls did they win?
  17. That may happen sooner than later.
  18. Whether you're pointing out a team's failure to win the Super Bowl in 5 years or if you're proclaiming that no matter which team wins this year's Super Bowl, they're still not as great as the team you root for that isn't even in the Super Bowl, you just sound silly.
  19. Judging by the style of play, he's best suited as a MLB in a 4-3. Maybe he can make the adjustment and be a solid inside LB in a 3-4, but I fear he's much like Jonathan Vilma, who is a very good 4-3 middle LB (All Pro for the Saints) who struggles in a 3-4 (his NY Jets days).
  20. Sorry, but the, "anyone that size can do it" argument doesn't really apply. That's like saying any 5-8 guy can run a 4.3 40 yard dash well into his 40s as Darrell Green once did. Ratliff is the exception, NOT the rule.
  21. The Bills practice in an indoor facility and only see the field on game days. They're no better in cold weather than the DTs you mention.
  22. Allowing me to play devil's advocate for a sec, it's true that having some Hall of Fame talent 'round you can only help. Imagine if you were a QB and could have weapons @ your disposal like Marion Motley and Dante Lavelli...
  23. ESPN has 'Bama's class rated 3rd while Rivals has it rated 5th. PENN STATE is 12th by Rivals, 11th by ESPN.
