  1. I thought you were dead.
  2. If the ownership doesn't want to break what little bank they have to do this, nothing will change. It seems to me that Wilson brings in people who are in line w/ his way of doing things. When they don't mesh w/ his way (Polian), they're gone.
  3. Man, where the heck have YOU been? Nice to see you posting again. My post was a bit of a ruse on all of the "so and so sucks; sell the team; stop going to games" crap that has been posted since Sunday.
  4. I don't think it boils down to where a player is taken, it's whether or not the guy can actually play. Take Tom Brady, for instance. They got him in the 6th round, just a few picks after the Bills selected strongman Lief Larsen. I think we do okay in some instances when it comes to evaluating talent (Terrence McGee quickly comes to mind), but we're lacking when it comes to evaluating the big guys up front.
  5. Oh come off it, Simon. The Bills suck. All of them. Haven't you been paying attention?
  6. How good are my tickets? They're okay. I like 'em, even though I'm just a few rows away from the riff raff. You can find the link to where my tickets are here. BTW, you still haven't responded to my PM about this weekend, Glenn.
  7. Mike, Big Bennie and Trey vs Marvel, Alan, and Jeff. Hmmm...........
  8. I think the 11 guys on the field, plus their coaches, are to blame. I know I'm reaching, but that's my final answer.
  9. Yeah, they suck. The OL sucks. The DL sucks. The QBs suck. McGahee? Well, he's okay.........but he sucks. Management and ownership suck too. I've had it. I'm not renewing my season tickets, nor will I attend any more games (and tailgates) until things get better. I think they should just sell the team so they can move on. Anyone else feel this way? Just curious.
  10. I wasn't sure about that one, either. Pat has been one of the few big money acquisitions the Vikes made that has played well so far (hear that, Fred Smoot?).
  11. Not bad. The reason playoffs are so great is that anything can happen, and you always have teams that run hot and cold: top ranked teams that peak too early, and darkhorse teams that come on strong late in the year. That's what makes the NCAA basketball tournament so special. Division 1A could have a great tournament. I would love to see a red hot team, like Auburn or Utah were last year, compete in a tournament for the title against the likes of USC, Texas, or whoever else will be in contention late in the year. Greed will not allow this: the greed of the major conferences and the bowl system. They can give us the "sanctity of the bowl games" rhetoric all they want, but it all comes down to money. I hear from ADs or SIDs that they fear the fans wouldn't spend big money to attend a game if it were 'meaningless'. Sorry to break the news to you folks, but nobody cares who the Las Vegas Bowl "champion" is. The only champion we want to see is a true national champion. That said, I am a realist, and I know this will remain a fantasy for the reasons I've stated.
  12. Sounds like more of a reason to have a playoff to determine the true champion. Division 1A will NEVER have a true champion until they do so (which will probably be never thanks to the greedy bowls and conferences). Let the debates rage on.
  13. I've never been one to comment on the Bills' offensive line, nor have I been a proponent of drafting OL early. There's no need for that.
  14. This is the best idea expressed on the board all day.
  15. The Tide/Vols game last Saturday was one heck of a game! Croyle's long pass @ the end of the game was clutch, kinda like the 4th and 9 completion Leinart had against 'that school' the week before.
  16. Easily. Why? Because muscle (LBs have a better muscle tone than lineman) weighs more than fat, so they may appear bigger even though they aren't. That said, I think he's going to be a fantastic LB if he stays healthy. He could have a Singletary, Lewis-like career.
  17. Vilma does have incredible range, but size? He's about 6-1 and 235. For a MLB, that is not very big. Thing is, he still is one of the very best in the game.
  18. If only we could get consistent pressure w/out having to blitz...
  19. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. They're paying me this much to sleep? Gotta love it!
  21. Hahaha!!! Good luck w/ that.
  22. Actually, I get more done on days where I don't have to deal w/ whiny claimants and a nonstop ringing telephone, like today.
  23. I'm @ work, so I guess that's a 'yes'. I'll be here until 2:30 or 3pm.
  24. You didn't take any trips to the Pittsburgh area lately, have you Johnny?
