  1. Ahhhh shaddup, gramps.
  2. There's plenty of imitators out there, Labatt. Pick a thread. Any thread. I miss the balance between serious football talk and kidding 'round. We had it years ago when I first came across the Wall and we've been slowly losing that balance over the years.
  3. This has been discussed in other threads. Please refer to those.
  4. What would you all like to discuss that is football, and Bills, related that hasn't been discussed ad infinitum in numerous threads already? No mock drafts, because they're not too accurate anyway. Hmm......maybe a poll on who our favorite Bills player is? Nah. Been there, done that. Suggestions? Anyone?
  5. You know I'd love to see a great line on this team, but I do have to wonder if they'll so easily give up on players they just took (like Pennington, Merz, and even Preston) in recent drafts, especially for guys who will probably be there mainly for depth. That could lead to disaster down the line, cap wise. The Bills have addressed the line in free agency, something I really didn't think they'd do. Now, we have to see what these guys can do.
  6. Unfortunately, the mindset is still there, as there are some who even question a team taking LaRon Landry in the top 5 of the draft, regardless of the fact that he's more than likely the top defensive PLAYER in this draft.
  7. Is that where they'll hide his flaws?
  8. Safeties have become more valuable because of their versatility. They're getting bigger and stronger (guys like Taylor and Williams) and they're athletic enough to cover like corners (Sanders, Polamalu, Reed, and this year's group led by LaRon Landry). Just like Steve Hutchinson has made people aware of the value of guards in the NFL (notice the contracts Dockery and Steinhach signed), these guys are waking people up to the value of safeties.
  9. Wow. Good post. I wouldn't even begin to know where or how to find out who our opponents are for this upcoming season.
  10. Jackson is a good player w/ the versatility to fill in either @ corner or safety. For that reason, he'll certainly get drafted, by the Bills or some other team. He may even go before the third, especially if there's a run on DBs.
  11. There seems to be a lot of talent sliding in the 2nd. First of all, TE Greg Olsen taken in the 2nd? It'll be tough for a team like Carolina, who badly needs a receiving TE, or Green Bay, if Lynch doesn't fall to them, to pass up this guy. LB Jon Beason is another guy who has been mentioned as a potential first round pick for numerous teams. Personally, I think Beason is more suited for the 2nd and I don't get this 11th hour love affair the draftniks are having for him, but he does seem to be a hot commodity lately. Also, I don't see the Steelers passing up a stud center like Ryan Kalil even for a playmaker like Eric Wright, especially since: 1. Jeff Hartings, their Pro Bow center, has retired 2. Wright has some serious character issues (hmm....a CB w/ talent but major character issues? Imagine that...), and w/ the Steelers having a new coaching staff, I'm not sure they want to take a flyer on a guy who could be another Puncman or Chris Henry. 3. Kalil is a top notch caliber center, similar to Nick Mangold (who the Steelers could've drafted last year after trading up), w/ no character issues and would go a long way towards replacing Hartings (Chuky Okobi is decent, but nothing special). You made some nice calls in the 2nd though, in particular Merriweather to Green Bay, Ramirez to Atlanta, and Harris to Detroit, though Harris had better not get passed up by the Bills unless they do end up w/ Willis. If those teams end up w/ those players, then I'm sure they'd be thrilled.
  12. I'm going on my 4th year in the Boosters, but I'm not going on the trip. I'm sure it'll be a blast though, having met the Boostes before when they made the road trip for the Baltimore game a couple years ago.
  13. You're quiet right, Thomas.
  14. I like Ramirez a lot, but I don't think he'll be there in the 4th, especially after his workout in Indy, where he showed how strong he is (42 reps @ 225, I believe, or something similar) and actually moved better than expected. If he is there in the 4th, I sure hope the Bills take him.
  15. I'll take two of those.
  16. So is reading the Stadium Wall. Big deal.
  17. Has Lee made it into the Hall of Fame yet? Maybe he'll make it on the day the schedule is released...
  18. He has no potential. In fact, he sucks. Don't believe me? Continue reading the board.
  19. I'm in...........3 weeks from today. Until then, you know what to do, Rock.
  20. Hope you enjoyed your birthday, Kenneth. Too bad your boss made you 'work', huh?
  21. Yeah, but he's in the pros now. Why hasn't he been able to do anything impressive like that in the NFL? What's his problem? Plus, he's old, 'bout 3 years older than Marshawn Lynch or Adrian Peterson. That, plus the guy's been a bust in the NFL. For crying out loud, he can't even break the starting lineup!!!
