Mcdermott is winning the day
-
The Himbo Cook coming out party. Couldn’t have come at a better time. big props to the OL and Brady.
-
Not surprised we’re getting the zebra love today. The nfl wants 17 in the playoffs…. we’ll see how long it lasts
-
Just give Himbo the ball. he’s special
-
Lol. Right…..just like every discussion is pointless on a message board. Nothing is decided here….so it’s all pointless. Yet here we are, being pointless every day, all day. we all get it it. You can defend Gabe as a WR2 yet you can’t define your true feelings about him because it would expose your defense of him as 💩. Because he is a 💩 WR2 and not worthy of more than 5M per year to 87% of the bills fans on this board.
-
Anyone else ask that? It’s a pretty straight forward question. How much do you think he’s worth?

Gabe Davis- Do you want him back and for how much $
NewEra replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it’s hilarious that you think we believe he would sign that contract. “do you want him back for for how much?” Voting for that signifies that we wouldn’t want to pay him more than 5M. If you don’t know…..now you know -
Thanks. I needed this today
-
The 300+ posters that voted in the poll don’t cut checks either. But we have opinions…..as do you. But yeah…. Par for the course, because you know gabe isn’t worth WR2 money
-
Why sneak Josh Dobbs when you have Nick frgn MULLENS
-
Right….. so how much do you wanna pay Gabe Davis this offseason?
-
Thanks- I don’t think I’ve really seen stats on doubling/bracketing before. I’d like to see what Diggs actual number have been over the last few seasons. Does anyone have access to those stats? Or even just this years? Of all the forced passes to Diggs (and Diggs drops) Davis still has a lower catch %. I know it’s not only on him (uncatchable passes too) but I think we’re going to be able to open up our offense once we replace gabe with a more versatile route runner and reliable pass catcher. like I’ve said- I really like the kid, but he’s not enough to unlock the true potential of this offense. I don’t see how Josh forcing the ball to Diggs is on Diggs. I agree that Diggs’ drops have been a problem, but forcing passes to him isn’t.

NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
🤦🏻♂️ Wrong end zone my man. Only if the offense fumbles the ball out of the end zone they are scoring on. If it’s the other end zone, it’s a safety for the defense…. -

Reaching is stupid. Got it -
About 30% seems like a lot to me, but do you have a link? In order to define “all the time” or “a lot” one would have to compare how often other WRs are being doubled. Link?

Reaching is stupid? Or losing the ball while reaching is stupid? Most players that have the ball near the end zone reach. Most players that approach first down markers reach for the first down markers. Most players are stupid. -

NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
In many cases the defense doesn’t always force the fumble. Players also lose the ball while reaching. and has many others have noted- most notably the NFL, the rule is stupid and likely in need of a change -
Erik Turner puts time in. He watches every game several times. He understand coverages. He states what he sees. And he sees Diggs being doubled and bracketed- he sees that the opposition is taking his away on 2nd and 3rd down. @Mr. WEO care to back your claim up with something other than “they aren’t”? didn’t think so.

NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol…..incentivize- the offensive team can still lose the ball if they fumble. As I’ve said- if the team fumbles the ball at the 1 yard line and it goes OOB in the end zone and they get the ball at the 20,15,10,5 yard line- how is that incentive? They still get punished for their recklessness. I’ve never said the offensive team should just get the ball at the spot of the fumble. They just shouldn’t lose their opportunity for a FG (or another TD attempt). The way it currently stands, the defense gets a freebie for doing nothing. Being rewarded for the offense “reaching for the goalline”…… as if that’s one sort of crazy idea. -
NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can you stand it when a player reaches for a 1st down marker midfield on 3rd down? Should the defense be rewarded with the ball if it’s fumbled OOB there too? It’s a risky play at midfield too….. so why reward the O for a risky play? again- can someone answer this: Why reward the defense for doing NOTHING? The offense can still have a negative consequence for the risky play….. and not lose possession while rewarding the D for nothing. The punishment just doesn’t fit the crime And it’ll likely be changed because it doesn’t make perfect sense. -
NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s enough jeopardy already. They can fumble and still lose the ball….who knows if the ball is going to go oob or stay in bounds allowing the D to recover. I get why some think there needs to be some jeopardy for the offense. I agree, which is why I think putting the ball at a designated yard line would do just that. If you fumble at the 1 into the EZ oob and get the ball at the 20, 15, 10, 5 yard line, that still results in a negative play for the O equal to a sack or more. rewarding the d for doing absolutely NOTHING makes zero sense to me. I’ve been impatiently awaiting this rule change since inception. -
NFL will look at the fumble-out-of-end-zone rule
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because the offense always gets the ball back if the defense doesn’t recover it in every other part of the field…. Yet someone, when the offense is about to score…..the defense deserves to get the ball back for doing literally nothing? I think it’s a terrible rule and it seems the league may agree -
Did he cite his rookie year? The Mahomes total yards he listed was higher than yours. TDs are the same.

I like the person and the hard worker. I think he will continue to improve in many aspects of playing the position- I’m just not a fan of his athletic ability -

NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hear ya It’s extensive and and unfair punishment. It’s seems like the nfl agrees and is looking to lessen the blow. From my perusing social media today, the majority of the world agrees and also thinks the punishment is too harsh Anything is an upgrade over its current system. Just don’t give the defense the ball. That’s all I really care about. Finding a common ground beyond that shouldn’t be too tough
