The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

Behold selflessness. Nothing brings out my skepticism like everyone using the same word: -
What WAS That? By Bob Hoge FTA: Political junkies therefore tuned in Wednesday night for an Oval Office speech by Joe Biden, who was supposedly going to explain why he abandoned his reelection efforts despite vociferously assuring us for months that there was no chance that he would do so. Would the president deliver moving remarks? Would he bring the country together in the way that Ronald Reagan did after the Challenger disaster or George W. Bush did after 9/11? Would he come clean on his health issues, which are so obvious to any sentient American? Would he fully reveal his thought process surrounding the monumental decision to give up on his campaign? Would he explain how he’s still capable of running the country for six more months despite the fact that he’s now essentially a lame duck? No, no, no, no, and no. He did none of those things. In fact, it was an inexplicable, sleep-inducing monologue that tried to throw in all sorts of high-minded ideals like “democracy” and “who we are” but essentially said nothing. Biden has delivered angry speeches, he’s delivered divisive speeches where he calls half of the electorate enemies of democracy, he’s dropped remarks that he’s plagiarized from others, but this… this was a nothing speech. He revealed little of consequence, he assuaged no fears, he accomplished zero except perhaps to show that he’s still breathing. I have no idea what the point of it was, and except for shameless cheerleaders like CNN’s Van Jones—who was once again almost in tears, he was so moved—I don’t see how it helps Americans feel better about their security knowing that we have a lame-duck president who doesn’t make much sense. We all know that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin are paying attention. https://redstate.com/bobhoge/2024/07/25/what-was-that-n2177348

Anti-Netanyahu Protesters Burn American Flag While Yelling 'Allahu Akbar' Most news outlets call them "pro-Palestinian" protesters, but they really are pro-Hamas — they even carried the Hamas flag with them. https://twitchy.com/brettt/2024/07/24/anti-netanyahu-protesters-burn-american-flag-while-yelling-allahu-akbar-n2398796

DISPATCHES FROM THE POLITBURO: Biden ‘absolutely’ sharp enough for second term, no ‘coverup’ of mental decline, White House insists. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted Wednesday that President Biden remains sharp as a tack and “absolutely” could serve another four-year term — stunning journalists at her first briefing since Biden dropped his re-election campaign over concerns about his mental acuity. “Look, he didn’t step down from campaigning or from running because he didn’t believe he can serve in a second term. That is not why,” Jean-Pierre claimed to the incredulity of the press corps. The press secretary said the 81-year-old president’s decision to drop out Sunday and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, 59, was in the “best interest” of the country and the Democratic Party and that viewers should “stay tuned” for a fuller explanation from Biden in an 8 p.m. Oval Office address on Wednesday. “So today, the president believes that he is capable, fully capable of serving in the office that he currently has now and for the next 4.5 years if he wanted to?” an Associated Press journalist asked Jean-Pierre. “Absolutely,” she said. https://nypost.com/2024/07/24/us-news/biden-absolutely-sharp-enough-for-second-term-white-house-insists/

Democrats ?. . . . . . . . . . Break the law?. . . . . . . . . . say it aint' so. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) Chair, Sean Cooksey, is questioning that assumption, and citing federal campaign regulations - and has been the recipient of a mildly threatening letter from House Democrats, which he has posted on X. Cosmic justice sometimes comes with a dose of irony. Black Lives Matter, the insidious Marxist organization Democrats used to foment violence during the race-mongering madness of 2020, has issued a public objection to party leaders’ swift coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris as their 2024 presidential nominee. “Following the primary where millions of black voters weighed in, after one poor debate performance, the DNC Party elites and billionaire donors bullied Joe Biden out of the race,” BLM said in a statement to Reuters. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/black-lives-matter-demands-dnc-host-virtual-primary-2024-07-23/? For the past two days, Democrats — including Biden himself in a dubious endorsement made via speaker phone — have rallied around Harris. Still, nothing about the vice president’s sudden elevation has felt organic. Notwithstanding these strange developments, Democrats have clearly tried to depict their party as united behind Harris. BLM’s public objection, therefore, constitutes the first major internal demand that Democrats pump the brakes on the Harris 2024 train. To its credit, BLM called out party leaders’ apparent coup against Biden. “Now, Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate black voters by anointing Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic ticket without a primary vote by the public,” the statement continued. Also to its credit, BLM appeared unmoved by the argument that race and gender should take precedence over other factors. https://www.westernjournal.com/black-lives-matter-turns-democratic-party-kamala-harris-installed-nominee/ .

Try and keep up Mr. Edgy. The left has tried to discourage media outlets from using flattering/heroic pictures of President Trump. This is a great example of another one. . -
