  1. Hunter "changes his mind" at the start of the trial today. After attempting several legal tricks which the judge saw through, he pled GUILTY to ALL 9 tax evasion charges. Makes you think doesn't it. .
  2. Wouldn't it just be easier to confiscate the 390 million firearms in the U.S. ? That seems to be 'thoughts' of many on the Left. .
  3. Gee, why didn't they ?
  4. A good poster would provide a link.
  5. • Ax yourself a question (as Kamala Harris might put it): If you are an ambitious Democrat—say, Gavin Gruesom, Wretched Whitmer, Josh Shaprio, etc—do you really want Kamala Harris to win this election? If she does win, it would seem more likely than not that she’ll be the nominee again four years from now, which means that your next shot at running will be 2032. Today’s fair-haired Democrats like Newsom and Whitmer will be yesterday’s news by 2032. Much better for their own self-interest if she loses, and 2028 willbe an open seat race since Trump will be limited to one term I’ll bet they’d all fail a polygraph exam on this question. • Thesis: The worst thing that could happen to the Democratic Party would be a Kamala Harris presidency. You think Carter was bad for long-term Democratic prospects? A Harris loss should lead to a reckoning inside the Democratic Party as happened after their successive drubbings from 1980 through 1988. That reckoning required the party to moderate. (Recall that Biden was meant to be a “transitional” president, as was the case with Carter. Look how that was turning out before “Operation Kamala” was unleashed.) If Trump wins, it should provoke an intense civil war inside the Democratic Party. The progressives will claim that Kamala lost because she wasn’t progressive enough, while the party old guard will say it is long overdue for the party to suppress their progressive radicals. Not clear who might win this struggle, but I’m buying popcorn futures. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/09/contrary-speculations.php
  6. The self-own was massive with this one! Forget the commie stuff, Walz knows how to buy donuts! Democrat Sen. Tina Smith confirmed Walz's donut purchasing acumen with this photograph: Oh, and one more thing: Whoops. https://twitchy.com/dougp/2024/09/05/whoops-dem-confirms-tim-walzs-love-of-donuts-with-a-pic-that-proves-hes-bad-for-small-business-n2400570
  7. NEW: Hold on - Is Kamala Trying to Change Debate Rules AGAIN, Even As She's Struggling in Debate Prep By Nick Arama Kamala Harris has been ducking reporters and not answering questions. She gave one softball interview — but with the aid of her "emotional support governor," Tim Walz. But now the debate is quickly approaching on September 10. As we reported, they are now trying to argue that Harris is "fundamentally disadvantaged" by having the mics muted when she's not speaking. But that's the very point that Joe Biden asked for — former President Donald Trump didn't ask for that. So, once again, right out of the box, the Harris team is being dishonest about that. Harris was also the one insisting on how they had to keep to the rules/date agreed to for a debate with Joe Biden, so it's hilarious she now wants to get out of those rules. It also sounds like the Harris team is still trying to change the rules. They appear to be butting heads with ABC on what has been agreed to, even as they say there's an agreement. According to what was conveyed to POLITICO, Harris campaign official Brian Fallon claimed there were "verbal agreements" that were important to getting Harris to finally agree to proceed. CNN reported a similar story. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2024/09/05/kamalas-debate-prep-is-having-some-problems-n2178940 https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/harris-relents-on-muting-debate-microphones/ar-AA1q0A73 https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/04/politics/harris-trump-abc-debate-rules-microphones/index.html .
  8. Not 2024, but good news. Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears Makes Her Next Move and It's Big By Susie Moore Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears has fast become a favorite of Republicans and conservatives since her 2021 victory in Old Dominion alongside Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin and Attorney General Jason Miyares. With her no-nonsense approach and her steadfast commitment to conservative ideals, Earle-Sears has endeared herself to the political right. Now, Earle-Sears is taking the next big step and throwing her hat into the 2025 Virginia governor's race. Since Virginia's Constitution prohibits governors from serving consecutive terms, Youngkin is ineligible to run in 2025. On Wednesday, Earle-Sears filed paperwork to run for the commonwealth's top spot. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2024/09/05/virginia-lt-gov-winsome-earle-sears-makes-her-next-move-and-its-big-n2178942
  9. It continues. . . . . . . . . . Former CA Dem. Senate Leader Gloria Romero Switches to Republican Party, Says She Will Vote for Trump Jennifer Oliver O'Connell On Wednesday, the party was dealt another blow. Gloria Romero, who formerly was Democrat majority leader in the California Senate, has decided she also will change parties. Romero announced this on the State Capitol steps with Steve Hilton, California activist and host of the Steve Hilton Show, CA GOP Chairwoman Jessica Milan Patterson, Republican leadership in the California legislature, and Republican U.S. Congressman Kevin Kiley flanking her for the full effect. Here's the kicker: Unlike Alvarado-Gil, Romero has let it be known that she plans to vote for former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump. You may now clutch your pearls. As one of their female Latina firsts (Romero was the first woman to serve as majority leader before she was termed out in 2010), they have lost one "standard-bearer" who the Democrats love to trot out and use to manipulate the Hispanic masses. Romero has made it known she is now championing the Republican aims and the Trump-Vance ticket, especially in regard to the Southern border. In early August, Romero appeared on Fox Business' "Wall Street" with Maria Bartiromo before she officially made her party switch. Romero totally exposed Vice President and selected Democrat nominee Kamala Harris' record as San Francisco DA, California AG and VP Harris' terrible record on the Southern border, as well as lamented that this current Democrat Party is not the one that she proudly aligned with decades ago. https://redstate.com/jenniferoo/2024/09/05/former-ca-dem-senate-leader-gloria-romero-switches-to-republican-party-says-she-will-vote-for-trump-n2178938
  10. CAN SHE FIND A SEMI-LEGITIMATE SEEMING WAY TO BOW OUT BEFORE DEBATE NIGHT? Kamala’s Debate Prep Is Not Going Well. FTA: It's because Kamala's debate prep isn't going well. According to a report from NOTUS, she planning to undergo debate boot camp starting on Thursday. "She and her team will hunker down in Pennsylvania, the state where her debate with former President Donald Trump will take place next Tuesday, set to fully focus on preparing for prime time." In conversations with nearly a dozen people involved with or aware of the preparations, a set of goals emerged for the next week. The campaign is planning to tune out as much of the outside noise as possible to lock her in, aware of Harris’ relative rust as a debater and her tendency to overprepare and fixate on the details. The camp is co-led by Karen Dunn, a well-known D.C. lawyer who helped Harris prepare for her 2020 debate, and Rohini Kosoglu, Harris’ longtime policy guru who has been with Harris off and on since her Senate days. Other influential policy and informal advisers include Minyon Moore, fresh off a successful role chairing the Democratic National Convention; Brian Nelson, another longtime aide who now helps lead the campaign’s domestic policy shop; Tony West, her brother-in-law; Sheila Nix, her campaign chief of staff; campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond; and Sean Clegg, a strategist from California who has worked on multiple Harris campaigns. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2024/09/04/kamalas-debate-prep-is-not-going-well-n4932244 https://www.notus.org/2024-election/kamala-harris-trump-debate-prep
  11. I got a text saying "Let’s get clear together about the role those of us who are white can play to defeat MAGA...." Click on to 'embiggen' I have never before received a communication that addresses me as anything like "those of us who are white." To those of you who think I would want to "get clear together" with people who reach out to include me as one of "those of us who are white," let me be clear completely on my own: Leave me out. And what do you mean by "get prepared for what comes post-election - no matter the results"? Here's the Wikipedia page for SURJ — "Showing Up for Racial Justice." It has a warning label that says "This section contains content that is written like an advertisement." I note that "Celina with SURJ Madison" texted me from a Long Island (NY) area code.
