Harris, Walz Muddy the Waters on Their Extreme Abortion Positions by Ashley McGuire “Come on.” That was Vice President Harris’ response to Donald Trump in the presidential debate when he pressed her for any gestational limit on abortion. Would she, he asked, “allow abortion in the eighth month, ninth month, seventh month?” “Come on,” and a smirk. That’s all she had. That’s because that is, in fact, all she and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, have when actually forced to come up with any limits on abortion they would support. They oppose any and all protections for unborn babies and their mothers, including minors, and apparently, babies born alive from botched abortions. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2024/09/13/harris_walz_muddy_waters_their_extreme_abortion_positions_151621.html

BREAKING: Pennsylvania Court Ruling a Massive Election Integrity Win on Mail-In Ballots Remember during the 2020 elections, when several blue states (including the commonwealth of Pennsylvania) rewrote on the fly the laws about how, when, and where mail-in ballots (AKA vote by mail) would be counted? It led to many voters becoming jaded and distrustful of a system that had been considered one of the most honest and free to hold elections in the world. Courts ended up striking down those revised laws, and now we have news of a massive win for election integrity on mail-in ballots by the state Supreme Court in one of those states--the Keystone state of Pennsylvania: https://redstate.com/beccalower/2024/09/13/new-court-ruling-a-big-election-integrity-win-on-mail-in-ballots-in-pennsylvania-n2179302 -
Personally, I thought the whole 'black jobs' controversy was a tempest in a teapot pushed by race hustlers and Democrats (but I repeat myself) in order to alienate black voters and cat ladies from Donald Trump. So I am neither shocked nor appalled that Joe Biden has adopted the term himself. So what? Everybody knows what he means, and it wasn't meant to be derogatory by either Trump or Biden. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2024/09/13/media-excoriates-biden-for-using-term-black-jobsnot-n3794458

On Abortion, Kamala Harris Is the Extremist David Harsanyi FTA: Roe concocted a right from ether. And as Trump ham-fistedly noted, it stripped voters and states of the ability to make their own laws or even really debate the science or morality of the issue. But the Trump-appointed justices didn’t “ban” abortion. They handed back the issue, mentioned nowhere in the Constitution or in any tradition — save, perhaps, Baalism — as a fundamental human right, to voters. If Democrats truly believed that third-trimester abortions for convenience are a fundamental “freedom,” as Harris puts it, they wouldn’t smother their rhetoric with euphemisms and lies. Though it’s quite rich hearing Democrats, champions of state intrusions into virtually every orifice of American life, lamenting attacks on individual liberty. Lengthy, but worth reading. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/in_focus/3152103/on-abortion-kamala-harris-is-the-extremist/

Is Minnesota In Play? By John Hinderaker During the last few months, I have been asked by numerous friends across the country whether Minnesota is in play. Whether, in other words, Donald Trump might actually carry the state. My answer has always been No. Trump is beloved in rural Minnesota, as in the countryside generally, but he is deeply unpopular in the Twin Cities suburbs, the main population center of our state, and, as in many states, home to most of the swing districts. Twin Cities suburban women, in particular–some would say, the classic wine moms–have been strongly anti-Trump. But something seems to be going on here. One of our local television stations polled some weeks ago and found Kamala Harris with a ten point lead. Then, after Governor Tim Walz was announced as Harris’s running mate, they polled again. This time, Harris’s lead had dwindled to five points. Maybe a statistical fluke, but certainly not a ringing endorsement of her choice of our governor for vice president. Now, the left-wing MinnPost has a poll that shows Harris with a narrow four-point lead, 48%-44%. The breakdown is interesting. Harris of course has a huge lead in the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, while Trump dominates in Greater Minnesota. But: Harris secured a substantial majority of the vote (73% to Trump’s 21%) in Minneapolis and St. Paul, but the candidates are virtually tied in the seven-county metro area excluding Minneapolis and St. Paul. Trump had a more dominant lead (28 percentage points) in Greater Minnesota. If Trump can run anywhere near even in the Twin Cities suburbs, the election in Minnesota will be close. My point here is not to predict that Trump will carry Minnesota. I still don’t think he will. No Republican presidential candidate has carried Minnesota since Nixon in 1972, and no Republican candidate for any office has won statewide since 2006. But if Trump runs close here, and if even the Twin Cities suburbs are open to his message, there are a number of other states that should fall into his column. It is also notable that Tim Walz’s presence on the Democratic ticket has done Harris zero good, even in Walz’s home state. If Democrats thought they could sell Walz in rural America as a small-town “moderate” and a veteran, that hope has evidently fizzled. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/09/is-minnesota-in-play.php -
And THIS, is why they hid her. Kamala Harris Completely Bombs Her First Solo Interview After nearly two months of procrastination, Kamala Harris finally did her first solo interview since shoving Joe Biden out of the presidential race. On Friday, the vice president sat down with a local ABC News affiliate in Philadelphia to answer questions for a whole 10 minutes. Funny enough, the reporter who conducted the interview has a history of being called in when Democrat presidential nominees need a boost. {snip} Look, it's obvious she prepared a lot for the debate, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Her answers were generic tripe, but at least she delivered them well. This interview is a return to who Harris normally is, though. She's a lazy, entitled politician, and no one should listen to these exchanges and believe she has what it takes to be the President of the United States. This is why her team doesn't let her do interviews. It's one thing to join in on a three-on-one bout at a debate, in which the moderators were walking her through everything and constantly interrupting her opponent. When she's got no one to deflect to, she can't answer basic questions, and her campaign is nothing but "vibes." Frankly, America is in bad enough shape that "vibes" aren't going to cut it. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/09/13/watch-kamala-harris-bombs-her-first-solo-interview-n2179303

Small PA Town Furious Over Plan to House Illegal Aliens in Civil War-Era Orphanage By Mike Miller As flip-flopper extraordinaire Kamala Harris laughingly claims she "now wants a border wall after saying for years that building a border wall was racist and antithetical to American values," the realities of the Biden-Harris Border Crisis continue to play out across America, including in small towns. One such town is Scotland, Pennsylvania, located just outside Gettysburg, where a plan to house as many as 1,000 illegal aliens in a Civil War-era orphanage has the town's residents up in arms. "It would upend the community," said a retired Army colonel. https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2024/09/13/small-pa-town-furious-over-plan-to-house-illegal-aliens-in-civil-war-era-orphanage-n2179276 .
