The infighting continues. Nancy Pelosi trying to ‘tank’ Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s House Oversight Committee bid: Report by Victor Nava Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has reportedly launched a behind-the-scenes effort to thwart Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) bid to serve as the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. Pelosi, 84, would rather see Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) serve as ranking member on the high-profile panel and is “actively working to tank” the 35-year-old New York Democrat’s bid, according to Punchbowl News. The former House speaker has been “making calls” urging Democrats to support Connolly, 74, over Ocasio-Cortez, the outlet reported on Thursday. https://nypost.com/2024/12/13/us-news/nancy-pelosi-trying-to-tank-alexandria-ocasio-cortezs-house-oversight-committee-bid-report/

Election Day was pretty red in Texas and a Democrat is switching parties. Check this out: A Texas judge representing a county flipped by Donald Trump in this year's presidential race announced he is leaving the Democratic Party to become a Republican on Tuesday. Trump, who defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in November, made substantial gains this year in South Texas, home to a high Latino population that has traditionally leaned toward voting Democratic. Nationwide, he cut into Democrats' margins in several voting groups -- including among Latino, Asian and young voters -- leaving the Democratic Party questioning how it can regain trust from these communities in upcoming elections. Democrats were dealt another political blow on Tuesday in South Texas after Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina announced he would switch his party to Republican during an interview with Fox & Friends. Webb County sits on the U.S.-Mexico border and has become integral to the national debate surrounding immigration. "Over the years, I've watched the Democratic Party shift further and further to the left, and leaving the values that I hold dear to my heart. I've always been a conservative, and the radicalization of the national Democrats pushed me away a long time ago. For that reason, I'm proud to announce I will be leaving the Democratic Party and joining the Republican Party," he said. Judge Tijerina is fed up with a party moving to the Left. Where have we heard that before? The move came after a Florida lawmaker, one day earlier, announced she was leaving the Democratic Party to join the GOP. State Representative Susan Valdes, who represents a district near Tampa, wrote in a statement that she did not want to be part of a caucus "whose leadership expects me to ignore the needs of my community." "I know that I won't agree with my fellow Republican House members on every issue, but I know that in their caucus, I will be welcomed and treated with respect," she wrote. https://www.newsweek.com/tano-tijerina-becomes-republican-texas-webb-county-1998619

Food Network Now Trouncing CNN in Ratings by Mia Cathell CNN's post-election ratings continue to flail miserably following President-elect Donald Trump's triumph in the 2024 election. And now, CNN can't "Beat Bobby Flay." Viewers would rather watch "Guy's Grocery Games" than "Anderson Cooper 360," according to the latest TV ratings. (X) Last week, CNN finished No. 17 among cable stations during primetime programming hours, losing additionally to Hallmark's campy Christmas movies, house-hunting escapades on HGTV, and even the History Channel. In fact, CNN's small audience was outsized by those tuning into TBS, TLC, TNT, and Freeform, respectively, among others. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/miacathell/2024/12/13/food-network-outranks-cnn-n2648953 .

WH Dem Officials 'Warn' Trump Not to Undo Key Parts of Biden's Legacy and HELLOOO Backfire Maybe Democrats and White House officials missed it, but Trump literally won the election last month and can run the office the majority of Americans elected him for any way he sees fit. Not to mention the moment Biden entered the Oval Office in 2021 he reversed basically everything Trump had done, even removing the cap on insulin costs, seemingly out of spite. So when we see 'officials' warning him about not undoing what Biden did we just point and laugh. And we assume Trump has done the same. Case in point: It was fine when Biden rescinded all Trump border policies on day 1, though. Talk about political, economic, homeland security, and humanitarian risks for the past 4 years. Inflation reduction act is admittedly by Biden himself nothing but an environmental bill. Burn it all down https://twitchy.com/samj/2024/12/12/white-house-warns-trump-not-to-be-president-lol-n2405066

There is exactly zero indication of this is the OP's post. He simply reposted the X tweet that stated the facts It is (again) something borne out of your own prejudices. * and before you go quoting the title, PLEASE tell us that you didn't understand that he was making fun of all the extremists calling President Trump . . . . Brian Thompson went from Jewell, Iowa (population 1,200) to leading 140,000 employees and overseeing $280B of revenue at one of the world’s most important companies. His mom worked as a beautician, his dad at a grain elevator —they were probably really proud when he graduated valedictorian of his 50-person high school class. He played basketball and the trombone, got elected homecoming king, and worked in soybean fields and meat processing plants during summers. While studying at the University of Iowa, he met the woman who would become his wife, with whom he would have two kids. By all accounts, he was smart, hard-working, funny, and a thoroughly decent man. This guy—not the person who murdered him in cold blood— was everything that’s right and good about America, and the American Dream. May his memory be a blessing, and may his example inspire all of us to do better. -
Young blood is here. President-elect Trump has gone full throttle for a new generation of leaders. Consider these nominees: Lee Zeldin, 44, EPA administrator Pete Hegseth, 44, Secretary of Defense Kash Patel, 44, FBI Director Tulsi Gabbard, 43, Director of National Intelligence Not everyone welcomes the generational change. When smears and media leaks about nominees’ backgrounds appear, be sure something is happening in the political establishment of Washington, D.C. https://www.realcleardefense.com/articles/2024/12/10/stop_the_smear_1077804.html

I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THE DEMOCRATS TRIED TO MAKE HIM INTO BRETT KAVANAUGH — AND SUCCEEDED. Pete Hegseth Will Be Confirmed. By Mark Judge https://www.splicetoday.com/politics-and-media/pete-hegseth-will-be-confirmed Well, Kavanaugh was confirmed, too, so maybe this was a bad strategy.
