We might be able to get 1 but all 4 is a pipe dream due to cap constraints and needing to use cap room on keeping most of our guys around. I think signing a veteran CB to pair with Benford (doesn't have to be Reed). I'd love Garrett or Crosby but not sure of picks it cost but if it's 2 firsts and a mid round pick am okay with it. Yet need to shore up D-line depth and secondary depth in the draft.
Dline or CB would be my top 2 needs. If we shore up a need in UFA I can see moving up in Round 1 like a guy yet can't see Beanr giving up draft capital to get us in top 10.
Let's blame the Bears instead for not taking Mahomes instead of Trubisky or if you go further back there was talk that the Chiefs were interested in drafting Paxton Lynch but damn Broncos jumped ahead of them https://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/264086/before-getting-patrick-mahomes-ii-chiefs-had-interest-in-paxton-lynch
Who we eventually traded to the Chiefs damn man we really can't win a trade with them
I agree he'll likely get 4 weeks top.
and before Beane or McDermott the Chiefs had already drafted Chris Jones and Travis Kelce, two of their most important cogs of the machine. Plenty of blame can be had but it's not clearly just Beane and McDermott.
A big issue was discussed in another thread that officials often call flags on what they think happened to vs what they actually see. See Dawkins penalty against the Ravens or the two roughing the passer penalties against Houston in their playoff game. On first look or in real time they looked legit. Yet on replay if was clearly not but because the calls are non reversable it just shows the ref messed up. The league has the tool to make things right and have to a degree where coaches don't have to waste challenges on calls that the ref in the sky reverses when it can. Until the league makes all calls objective vs subjective this will continue.
Inconsistent but showed sparks and some serious skills. His one hand snag against Seattle, the jump ball against the Jets, his catch and run vs Houston. I agree he can be good. Muhsin Muhammad might be a fair comparable.
Slayton is on my radar as don't think he cost much and he can give us an element of speed and fits in as an outside #2/3 WR. I'd love to add him if can't bring Cooper back.
