  1. That's one of the greatest articles I've ever read. I love that now that the Bills are winning they don't just write articles about football- they write articles about all of us, and how much the team means to us, and how odd it is that we mean so much to the team. I love WNY and I love being a Bills fan. It's something that nobody else could ever understand.
  2. Yeah, this is a weird path of reasoning. So if our stats were better overall by pouring it on in KC, we would be better able to beat the Bengals? I suppose you're saying if we had better stats then the "experts" would assume that the Bengals still aren't enough to stop us. Well, I don't know about that, you can't really get much better than #1.
  3. It's a great honor, and he deserves it above most, but why not Freddy?
  4. I fail to glean any sort of a coherent point from this. And so what? I really liked Flutie
  5. Anyway they'll be doing it again this week? I'd like to see this.
  6. If you add up all of Fitz' games played, I think this is like his 4th year as a starter (it's usually year 3-4 of straight starts that a rookie's light comes on). I think the best is still yet to come with him, and I feel we've got a good 7-10 years left with him. However, after a great team has been built around him, in about 5 years it will be time to draft a QB and groom him, to keep the continuity going.
  7. I think it is. This is a new team with a new mentality. Along with that mentality is the ability to pull out games that they SHOULD win.
  8. Awesome awesome article.
  9. Flutie had a pretty good one a few years back, didn't he?
  10. It continues to baffle me that fans are entirely unaware of the respect that Gailey commands around the league as an offensive genius. It's been mentioned time and time again by many professionals. He is more than competent on that side of the ball.
  11. Anybody know of any places to get Women's Jerseys?
  12. Our defensive line has been eating up blockers all season. Now that we're playing Andy Dalton, we can afford to bring some LBs through those gaps.
  13. It's vital for fans to recognize that we've played GOOD teams for the past 3 weeks. Even the Chiefs, with a bad record, had Jamaal Charles in week 1. We have been doing what most teams could only hope to do on defense, and our offense is out-scoring teams that, no matter how you play defense, are going to score a lot of points. Sure the pass rush seems like a concern, but remember that it was the defensive line that was actually giving Brady fits. He got the ball out quick every play, but he did it for a reason, and the quicker you're forced to release the ball (especially when you're Tom "I could order a pizza and have it delivered while I stand flat-footed in the pocket" Brady) mistakes can happen against 7 in coverage. Things on defense will continue to tighten up regardless (and our secondary is injury depleted already), but make no mistake that this team overall is playing extremely well, and executing their game plan.
  14. Been called the Buffalo Bounce since Flutie started doing it in '98.
  15. ...Because people all over the different BB message boards were talking about tearing down the goalposts.
  16. But during the SNF pregame he was talking about his biggest surprise being the Bills who beat his Patriots and are sitting atop the AFCE...
  17. Ah that's BS. I wonder if fans will ever storm the field again...
  18. I think the pass rush will open up more...we just came off of a rare run of playing three teams who had offenses that don't allow to take anyone out of position for a blitz.
  19. Video? Something?
  20. ...Didn't they score on that drive anyway? They were in our territory on that and unless that was the fieldgoal drive I'm pretty sure we didn't stop them once they were in our territory...
  21. I think that winning AND stopping the run and having a sound defensive performance is absolutely key and here's why: we can sit back and realize that maybe our team is actually good by improving things like our run defense. It means that after that game we can have confidence in our abilities to beat any team because we can stand up and take away their strengths. Granted, on the field, in the heads of the players, football is a different game. Just winning is enough to boost the players' confidence, no matter how it happens.
  22. I LOVE what he says about Buddy Nix and how he trusts him. I like that he said "After all these years I found out that you really need a scout...a football guy to be GM." Took him 52 years, but better late than never! I get good vibes from our latest team. Not the good vibes like we got all decade when the FO told us "Don't worry, we're young and SMARTER than everybody! Have faith in our reach draft picks because we knew more than the rest of the league, blahblahblah." This team is young, nasty, hard-working, and everyone has a chip on their shoulder. There's something better in the air at OBD.
  23. I still make that argument.
  24. Bledsoe was my favorite QB when he played for the Pats and I was ecstatic to have him play here. Even after he left I felt bad for him and his steep decline. Now I will no longer respect him.
