Beane did it. -Not us
-
She can't be fired, even if she's not, so.....

Incidentally 716, I was going to ask you about the Badger's Jack Cichy in round 6 over McCloud... I know Cichy had a Major injury, but he was very productive in that defense... I also had MSU TE Jordan Thomas as being a more appropriate pick there as well... On the one hand, you have a highly motivational LB who can diagnose like a mother-effer, and speeds to the ball... On the other, you have a 6'6" 270, pass catcher in Thomas who ran a 4.7 40 at the combine... I admit that he's mostly upside, but worth more of a gamble than a potential special-teamer. -Thoughts?

I don't know about 'purity', because I bet $ on a lot of college games... However, I do think the talent in college is displayed in it's purest form. Gives good insights on a kids natural reactions and insticts at the next level.
-
Before you outed his credentials I thought 716 was an OK dude... I still do... I was just poking a little fun.

Holy pillow-talk, Batman, I want to pour this post all over my f*%$ing pancakes in the morning! -Do you have any other children's stories in the works?

Coincidence or is it in the cards for the Bills?

I'm not counting on NE getting any easier to beat... It's more likely they re-up on whoop-ass and maintain a good squad WITHOUT Brady. The Bills are going to have to get good... That's the only cure. -
[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?

His moves are eerily reminiscent of A. Reed... Worth a look, that's for sure. -
EXACTLY why I think Beane blew the '18 draft.-Rds. 2-5

Better than Reed??? -Sorry, but no... 4th was WAY too high. Don't f*&#ing CLICK, John! -Now drink some warm milk, and lie down! -

I'd only do it for the Bills. As the 29th ranked Corner some had him going as late as the 7th... I think he was good until the 6th-7th... Might have even slipped through the cracks to UDFA. -

Not at that pick... Hard to believe that kid was going anywhere anytime soon.. -

Maybe.... But we got him in the 4th instead of the 6th where he likely would have been waiting!... I just didn't get the run on Div 2 corners when there was so much whoopass left on the board, and when we already have 5 CB's on roster. -

At least now we know who didn't read the post. Oh, I'll be here... Except I might have a Karlos Williams avatar instead of a Peterman one. -

He came into TC outta shape... Eddie Lacy did the same thing... Guy had some problems.. Nothing the league hasn't seen before. -
****LONG POST ALERT***** Rd. 2 Okay, real fast... YES, I am aware there was no round 2 for the Bills... HUGE mistake to pass that up IMO... We started out with two picks at 53 & 56. -Perfect opportunity to grab a stud like Biletnikoff winner James Washington (#60 to PIT) to help out McCarron... If he didn't like anything else, Beane could have sought a trade partner to move down with extra picks into Rd. 3 where there was all kinds of good stuff to parlay with Harrison, who I think was a pretty decent pick. Rd. 4 Taron Johnson CB, Weber State Not sure what they could have been thinking here... There's lots of kids playing double-A ball with talent... Taron Johnson is one of them.... But the level of competition he faced in the Big Sky Conference was an absolute joke... I get that he was Defensive player of the year in that conference, but 4th round??? -NFLdraftscout .com projected him as a 7th rounder... He was the 269th ranked prospect, and the 29th ranked CB in the draft!... It's CRAZY that he was taken here... How do you put Johnson ahead of a CB like KSU's D.J. Reed who was 1st-team all-Big 12, and 2016 big-12 defensive rookie (newcomer) of the year? Making things even stranger was the fact that the Bills had ZERO contact with Johnson until 20 minutes before making the pick! I heard Bills scouts were at Weber State's pro day, but the kid maintains there was NO PRIOR CONTACT. -Sorry, but that's weird. Rd. 5 Siran Neal, CB Jacksonville State First of all, -ANOTHER 2-A CORNERBACK???? What the hell for??? ? The Bills already have 5 CB's and 5 safeties on the roster including Davis, Gaines, White, Hyde and Poyer!!.. I get that Neal is versatile... Played some LB, got moved to corner his senior year... There's SS potential there for sure... Neal is a bigger, thicker, guy who packs a heavy wallop... He's already 24, so there's no time to screw around... Nothing against him, but he was the 9th ranked SS prospect out of 12 in this class... It seemed strange that third-ranked Longhorn safety Deshon Elliot is sitting right there, and Beane still takes Neal! Elliot is a first-team all-American, and first-team big 12 player who showed up in some really BIG games. -I was confused, but not completely disappointed until.... Center Scott Quessenberry, TE Troy Fumagalli and TE Tyler Conklin all left the board #155 to Chargers, #156 to the Broncos, and #157 Vikings respectively... ANY ONE out of those three could have offered some much-needed foundation to our offense... Deflating, -to say the least. Rd. 5 (Pick #166) Wyatt Teller G, Va.Tech I'll walk this one back a little... This isn't a bad pick IMO... Wyatt is a little slow-reacting for my tastes, but does other things really well... Woulda been nice if Beane grabbed a TE or C in the previous rounds to further strengthen this O-Line, but whatever... Not a bad pick here. Not gonna take on rounds 6 & 7 because those picks just don't hold much interest for most people... After all, Beane has his QB. -For now. Most are happy with that, and that's fine. I still think he missed some really big opportunities, and may come to regret forsaking all in pursuit of Josh Allen.

It just takes a few to drive up the value on mediocre prospects... Weeden, and Tanneyhill are 3rd-4th rounders without the hype and desperation created by the league's in-house propaganda machine. Everything the Bills have done the past two decades has kept them from winning a single playoff game within that time... Some of these posters weren't born the last time the Bills won a playoff game... Some were toddlers when the Bills even made the playoffs the last time... Being critical feels better to me than pretending BUF has historically made good decisions that simply didn't pan out. -

NOTHING about that thread proved to be false! Karlos was, in fact, an effective weapon who at one point, led the league in yards per carry, He was a backup RB who poured in 9 TD's, 7 of which came from his first 6 games. The Bills went from a .500 season with Karlos, to Sub .500 the following year... The regime that cast him off totally crashed and burned! All that thread was about was Karlos being awesome if he stayed healthy (Which mentally, he couldn't.) and if he stayed out of trouble, which was a concern I voiced in the thread! People not knowing how to read, is the real problem... Some can't separate opinions from reports, or "takes" from actual facts. -

Which teams? The QB-desperate Browns, Jets, Cardinals, and Bills... Those are the teams that really drove the market. Every talking head on the shield's Network had a QB going to the Jets, Browns, and Bills. Criticizing someone doesn't mean you don't support them... The team record was, in fact, 8-5... Allen was at the helm for losses vs. Oregon, Iowa, and Bois State. -

These talented young men are primped, primed, paraded out so they can be PICKED. -So that's what we do... You have to have SOME clue of how they're going to turn out, or else why even bother? -The risk is that you could be wrong. That means you, me, Beane, -anybody really. -

None of us has any choice but to see how things play out... A large portion of what we discuss here are simply takes based on perception... No one should read anything deeper into it than that.
