This was your post. Beginning, middle, and end. On earth, this is how we call someone out. In response, this is what I said: "Whatever. Your gutless post doesn't deserve a response, but I'll tell you that I've seen five or six of of Osweiler's games, in and out of conference. My personal opinion? -You are exactly why kids shouldn't be unsupervised on the internet. Get a life". That's it. -No F-bombs, no one telling you to STFU, no name calling. Bottom line? -I posted my personal opinions, about Brock Osweiller, and while they're not likely to change, I provided a link so that others on this board could view what I thought was a fair showcase of his abilities. Also, by inviting my fellow OP's to "be the judge" I encouraged healthy discourse, and a variety of opinions on this young QB prospect. If you asked me, I'd say the whole affair is NO BIG DEAL. In fact, feel free to take as many shots at me as you'd like. But be forewarned: Every once in a while, I return fire. At this point though, I'm not certain Osweiler's work merits too many heated exchanges.

Heard on ESPN today that the Colts hinted at possibly taking RG3 #1 overall ahead of Luck. Considering RG3's passing numbers this year, and the fact that Baylor was a Big 12 doormat before he came along, Could RG3 possibly be the better pick?

Whatever. Your gutless post doesn't deserve a response, but I'll tell you that I've seen five or six of of Osweiler's games, in and out of conference. My personal opinion? -You are exactly why kids shouldn't be unsupervised on the internet. Get a life. From the sample size I've seen, first round seems very high. It's not just a lack of arm strength, but also poor mechanics that make him a project. Osweiler has the size and the desire to be successful. Still, I don't think he'd be a first round prospect if Landry, or Barkley were coming out this year.
-
Now THAT is a very real possibility. I don't see this tremenndous arm strength everyone's raving about, but i do see a kid who can run in the open field and take a big hit. Only question is, can he block worth a damn?
-
I say he's SUPER-RAW. McShay and others are thinking maybe first round. Physically he's quite a specimen, at 6'8" 240, but his throwing motion looks like a disaster. You be the judge. My link Btw, Illinois' Jonathan Brown is only a sophmore. -Maybe next year.

Why the Buffalo Bills Defensive Alignment Doesn't Matter
#34fan replied to angryfan62's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it matters because none of the schemes shown worked! With the exception of the Redskins and the Denver game, We FAILED to get pressure on opposing QB's! -Period. If the writer of this article really thinks it's no big deal, then by default, isn't he also saying that our players aren't that good?! But lets set that aside for a moment. I don't think that I mind Dave Wannstedt's traditional 4-3. I think we actually have the players to pull that one off successfully. Merriman may not work in this scheme, but I don't think anyone hase a problem with Williams lining up next to Dareus as a DT. I may have this all wrong, but I think regardless of what 3-4 variations you dabble with, you need a threat that demands the double team. Otherwise, what's the point? IMO Buddy may have oversimplified when he said it was "no big deal". -
What Fitz has been up to so far this offseason

Any way you guys can hold him there for about a year? -Speedtraps? Trump up some BS charges on him? -

This would definitely show that we're serious about becoming playoff contenders. -Next years 1st sounds kinda steep, though. -
Chris Brown SPECULATES Bills in play for V Jackson
#34fan replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Point taken. Still doesn't mean we have to be a destination, for alkies trying to get better contracts. All that aside, we don't have the kind of QB that a deep-threat like Jackson can thrive on. I'm not a Phil Rivers fan, but he sure can throw the deep ball when he wants to. -

I was a big supporter of bringing in VJ until I found out he was a STONE ALCOHOLIC. -Guy has Multiple DUI's in the San Diego area. -Nothing against drunks. I spent the better part of my twenties bombed out of my gourd. At some point though, you have to grow up. -Especially if you call yourself a professional. IMO VJ has yet to separate himself from all that drama. Until he does, I'm not sure WNY is the best spot for him to land. -

After the past twelve seasons, I could totally live with that. -Gamble big, win big. -
Yah, i'm noticing that too. for a potential 4-3DE, he isn't exactly fleet of foot. He moves like a tackle. I think his lack of speed, and explosiveness will hurt him as 3-4OLB as well. Still, 3-4OLB may be his best bet

Two words. FIRE SALE. That's right, everything must go! It'd be worth trading our entire 2012 draft if RG3 was still on the board. If the pundits are right, this is a once in a generation type of player. I wouldn't hesitate. -
Now Meat, I miss things from time to time, but I have absolutely no recollection of this event. Except for the Denver game, spill didn't crack a c-note all season. The bottom line is this... I've tried and I just can't do it!!! I am simply not ready to let Fred go. Not after last season. -I mean honestly, did he look 31 to you? Didn't he rush for a buck or more in 6 out his 10 games? Wtf does a guy have to do to get some love from this organization? -Have a weak arm, and Throw a bunch of INT's???
-
Absolutely true. I, for one, never thought they would trade Vrabel. After they did, it was all downhill for that guy.
-
If that's the case, we may be waiting for a while. Brady wants to keep on playing. It's also possible that by then Ryan Mallett may have had several years to study one of the greatest ever to play at that position. Plus, if they picked up two stud recievers like McNutt, or kendall Wright, or Michael Floyd, they could be dominant for another ten years. If someone had told me in 1991, that the Bills would go 12 years without a single playoff berth, I would have summarily torn off their Dolphin jersey, and P*ssed on it. I get the fact that the Pats are good, I just don't see why it's so hard for us to mimic their behavior. These people are doing something profoundly right. IT CAN'T JUST BE LUCK.
-
Really?? 122 catches, 1569 yards (12.9 per) and 9 TDs. He is by far the receptions leader in the league this year and just behind Megatron in total yards--easily his best year to date. All that while Gronk and Hernandez had their best years. That's "on his way to irrelevancy"?? Don't quote me out of context. I said "may well be" -That's IF he was ever cut loose for a younger option. It probably won't happen, -but it could. Welker's had some major ACL/MCL injuries. Either way, the statement was not that Welker was on his way to irrelevancy.
-
Understood. Still, considering their perrenial playoff presence, it seems a bit of an embarassment of riches. Welker may well be on his way to irrelevancy, but Gronk was one of those second rounders two years ago. And Aaron Henandez (a 4th rounder) ain't doing to bad either. This draft seems to have a lot of talent at the reciever, and DE/OLB position. If they ended up using 3 of those 4 early picks, -look out. The entire civilized world knows that their D needs help. If they choose this draft to re-up, how does that NOT spell more years in the cellar for us?
-
Wow. I didn't realize the Pats had 2 first round picks in this draft, as well as 2 second rounders. They also have more salary cap room than any other team in the AFC east. My link How do they frickin do it?! -So much of this game is about setting your franchise up for the future. What exactly does OBD keep getting wrong? Ralph doesn't seem to be involved in the day-to-day operations, so it can't be just "The owner". This hit me pretty hard. -Even in football it seems the rich just get richer.
-
I wouldn't mind Glenn at all. I prefer Decastro because of his can-do competitive attitude, the pro-style offense he comes from, and his superior run-blocking. The kid just flattens people. Also, I see A LOT of holds that Glenn gets away with. He'll get called for that S#!t at the pro level. Talented kid. Not a bad pick for the someone in the second or third.

Fitz: Team wasn't ready to be successful
#34fan replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Further proof that Fitzpatrick isn't a leader, and NEVER will be. Hey Ryan, It's obvious we're not ready to be successful. -Your sorry butt is still our starting QB. -
It'd be better if we went after Matt Flynn. Williams would be a great FA pickup, but we need to score points.

To be honest, my draft is still evolving. Nevertheless, this is primarily what i'd like to see. It may change slightly in a month, but for now, these are my guys. 1) OG Dave Decastro, Stanford 2) DE Whitney Mercilus, Illinois 3) WR Rishard Matthews, Nevada-Reno 4) OT Nate Potter, Boise State 5) TE Nick Provo, Syracuse 6) Don't care 7) Don't care -
I feel sorry for any team that takes Tanneyhill in the first rd. IMO, he embodies why the league needed a rookie salary cap in the first place. Can you say BUST?

Not specific at all. -And this is exactly what I'm talking about. It seems we draft these amazing natural talents, only to turn them loose with little, to no coaching on their professional roles. Invariably, they end up being guys who have great games here and there, but who never develop into consisitent, dominant, players. After wasting the most productive years of their careers, we discard them, often seeing them flourish elsewhere. I see Ingram as more of a package component, than a stand-alone pass rusher. Like when the Giants line up 4DE's for that speed rush package. In other formations he could be sent as a late blitzer, or even used as a LB/QB-spy to "kill" more mobile passers. IMO These roles would be good fits for fast, strong, athletic, guys like Ingram. In the end, it's really too bad. If we had two picks in the first, he might be one of mine too. IMO, we've already drafted so many players out of scheme that we can't afford to draft another question mark at #10. Btw, 276 is a little chunky for a 4-3 defensive end. Carrying that kind of weight at 6'2 also gives me pause.
