Scott Chandler RELEASED (Now signed by Pats)
#34fan replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just one problem... Chris Gragg isn't a very good TE.... Unless theyre planning to acquire Virgil green, and draft PSU's Jesse james, i don't see this as a step forward at all... -
Jesse James... Top performer in several categories... 26 bench reps to Maxx Williams 17....A hundredth of a second slower than Maxx Williams witha higher vert... This kid is very, very, interesting..

Rex is at the combine in a Thurman Thomas jersey.

I've made the hour or so trip down the coast several times... Place is always PACKED with blue and reds...I don't recall seeing much memorabilia, but the beer was cold, frothy, and quite delicious... There was also this SUPER HOT little blonde bartender who whips the crowd into a frenzy with the shout song... Really a great place to go on Sundays..

Who else needs to be brought in to "Build a Bully"?
#34fan replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex Ryan is going to have to EARN my trust... Its no secret that I don't particularly care for him as an HC... I agree though about running the ball.... Lotsa depth at RB available in this draft too... It'd be great to score a yound RB and TE... At the moment, we look terrible at both positions. -
Who else needs to be brought in to "Build a Bully"?
#34fan replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds to me like we're trying to BUY a bully. -Not Build one... Terrible idea if you ask me... Aren't teams supposed to BUILD through the draft... Seems like too many are giving up on the '15 draft, when there's loads of buried treasure in it. If Rex Ryan is such an awesome coach, why not let him ply his trade on some talented rookies??? Wanna build a Bully? -Find something that SCARES SOMEBODY. Gronk, for example is a scary dude for a DC to game-plan around... Jamaal Charles is pretty scary too... Both were drafted, not snagged in F/A..... Is it too much to ask for our scouts to LOCATE the scary kids that nobody knows, as opposed to OBD choosing the not-so-scary-because-everybody-knows-what-you've-got-plus-there's-no guarantee-you're-not-passed-prime-or-damaged-goods types available in F/A??? We could be going about this thing all wrong. -Just a thought. -
I've seen him stick people real good for Manning... maybe too much firepower on that offense for him to be worked in.
-
Our Current coach sucked for the past two years. That's what got him fired... I suspect it's because he's SUPPOSED to be a D-coordinator and nothing else. Your'e right about one thing though.... Mike Vick was worse than Geno last year.. I supect that's because he's never learned to read defenses, and cannot outrun them anymore..... I wouldn't even want Vick for 3rd string. Guy is DONE.
-
Always wanted him to be a Bill.... Good Blocker.... Great hands.... Would LOVE to have him, Kaepernick, and Rishard Matthews together again... A Nevada wolfpack reunion!
-
Bingo. RB is a terrible position to try and re-tread. I love Fred to death, but he MUST be upgraded.... Woulda loved it if he became our running backs coach, but it doesn't look like that will happen... Josh Robinson, Todd Gurley, TJ Yeldon, Duke Johnson, even late rounder-UDFA like NDSU's John Crockett..... Get a kid in here, and COACH HIM UP... Free Agency can't fix us. We go NOWHERE until we re-up on YOUNG TALENT.
-
F_____ the Jets.... I'd give them their old coach back if I could.... The stench of failure is still clinging to Rex's flabby body...I'm just hoping we tank the season bad enough to get a shot at Cardale Jones... If not Jones, then perhaps Kevin Hogan (Wacky throwing motion and all.)

Eeeyup....This is a clear-thinking man who makes very level headed decisions... -
Julian Edelman's one night stand... LOL
#34fan replied to ThurmasThoman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
She'll do nicely in a pinch.... Skank might even have some skill... -Edelman looks drained! -
Watching Rex give up on the team he had back in December was all the proof I needed... Rex Ryan is NOT a great coach.... Not at this point in time... The Pats are good because they do the the things they're SUPPOSED to do, WHEN they're supposed to do it.. We suck because we're the polar opposite. The people in charge of drafting here don't draft well... The people in charge of coaching here don't coach well... For the past 15 years NO ONE in this organization has done their job... For the past 15 years "DO YOUR JOB" has been THEIR MOTTO... Ryan can't fix what's wrong... He doesn't understand the problem... How does Rex get immunity from the fiasco that was the 2014 New York Jets???? Please say something other than "The jets lost players" over the years, Because NE lost players too! Somehow they were able to replenish their ranks without breaking the bank or consistently getting high draft picks I envy anyone who truly cannot see the difference between us and them, consider yourself lucky...

Bills Should Trade for QB BJ Daniels
#34fan replied to 217014170's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He really is similar to Wilson in many ways.... I followed him when he played at USF... The thing i can say about BJ is that he has grown ALOT as a QB since his USF days... He's far more versatile than I thought he'd be, and has a very strong arm for a guy his size... I like the idea alot myself, but OBD will NEVER do it. -
THE difference makers? LOL. I'm not sure why you know that, but here's my opinion: Walford has TONS of what I call l "playground" talent... It's a natural gift, but a very raw one... You could argue that him and teamate Duke Johnson are easily the two best pure athletes on the field anytime they step on it... Unfortunately, whenever I scout the U, I tend to look a little harder at the product... You see Miami is one of those big southern towns you and I discussed way back when.. While it's NOT exactly considered the Deep South, many kids there struggle with similar isuues as towns like Bimingham and Atlanta... I've spent time in all 3 cities, and young men there have to fight through alot. Walford actually hails from Belle Glade... An agricultural community with inner-city problems when it comes to drugs, diseases like AIDS, and violence... I've been to Belle Glade, Fla. and I can tell you It's one of the BEST recruiting grounds for D-1 FBS programs...Big, Strong, FAST, kids. -Been that way for decades. You'll probably say it's unfair, but I'd want to spend more time with Walford... -Meet his Family. Observe him in his natural environment... See if he can he be coached at the NFL level, and eventually turn into a pro... it's hard not to like what you see there, though... If many scouts feel like you do, Walford should be LONG gone off the board by the 32nd pick... Maxx Williams may hang around til the late 2nd.... I think we have a decent shot at Williams, but a better shot at a projected late-rounder like James.
-
Well, DUH! Actually, Marrone would probably talk schitt about us like he did with Polian and turn them off..
-
I never once said he had "no spectacular moves"... And clearly he can tap into breakaway speed at times... What this kid does well is get open in the end-zone and open field... If you're an NFL QB, and you consistenly miss a 6'7" 270lb target wide open under the uprights, there's a chance you shouldn't be playing the position. If your'e an NFL coach, and you can't turn a smart, athletic, hard-working, GIANT to your advantage on offense, you should find another job. Very easy to look at measurables... Any moron can hold a stopwatch. -Fighting spirit is harder to quantify. Game-changing ability does not necessarily make a game-changer. I wonder how often a person like yourself needs to look at a Seahawk or Patriot roster littered with late rounders and cast-offs before you get it.... Maybe I can help.... Doug Baldwin - UNDRAFTED LeGarette Blount - UNDRAFTED Richard Sherman - 5th ROUND Kam Chancellor - 5th ROUND Brandon LaFell - 3rd ROUND Julian Edelman - 7th ROUND Jermaine Kearse - UNDRAFTED Danny Amendola - UNDRAFTED Marshawn Lynch - TRADED (by us) to SEA for a 4th and 5th round pick! Tom Brady - 6th ROUND Russell Wilson - 3rd ROUND We cannot continue to do things the way we've been doing it, and hope to have success. No way.

LOL, probably for the same reason I fear Stanford QB's... Still, I have my eye on Kevin Hogan in next years draft... part of me believes that if Maybin had been tried at TE, there might have been a different outcome to his career... -But probably not though Great... Do nothing... Ignore natural talent, and turn a blind eye to a position that is critical to the success of your offense... Don't do due diligence... Allow what might be a devastating weapon to fall into the hands of a divisional rival... Hell of a strategy you got there. I remember Gronk @ U of A.. He was good, but no one could have ever predicted his game-changing ability at the NFL level. It doesn't take much for Rex Ryan to lose faith in a young QB... Why not go after the best QB help available? I don't just gawk at stats, and look to fill positions of need... there's something about this kid... Look at how he addresses the media. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGwdec8H23Y

By now, most of you have heard of Golden Gopher TE Maxx Williams... a kid I genuinely like... Maxx is fast... A very good route runner.... Fabulous hands.... Physical... Max has that "beastly' aura that can intimidate defenders... He is 100% BALLER However.... At 6'4" 248lbs Williams, to me, projects as more of a Rangy Wideout... An extremely talented tweener... And while Maxx is by no means "small" for a TE. I was thinking we could go a little bigger. Enter jesse James TE, PSU At 6'7" 265lbs this is a beefy kid.... Much faster than you'd expect at his size. I've heard sub 4.6 speed, and while I cannot confirm it, I'm verry happy with his speed in the open field... Jesse has consistently helped out his QB's (McGloin, Hackenburg) over the past three seasons.... Not a whole lot of spectacular moves or circus catches... Just solid, reliable, TE play. Drafting BOTH these kids would be great, but if I had to pick just one, It'd be Jesse. -Have a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg7nTsBWZNg

Roman/Rex: Won't develop a Franchise QB
#34fan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the thing... A critical part of what is commonly called QB "development" is nothing more than recognizing your QB's abilities, and putting the QB in the best position to succeed... Alex Smith's progress took a while because of two things: -The college system he played in, and the fact that Smith is NOT a natural leader of men... Colin Kaepernick's development started in the right direction, but went awry when Roman and Harbaugh attempted to turn him into a pocket passer. Kaaepernick was killing the league with his long runs.. Roman SHOULD have expanded on that ability. Instead, he got away from it with disatrous results... Rex has been the enemy for so long, I struggle with the fact that he's now our HC... IMO, he's left one QB quagmire for another... I wouldn't mind too much if I thought he could help, but so far, Rex's seems adept at turning QB's into backups or worse... -

Bring Back the Red Helmets!
#34fan replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best Bills team in forty years wore the red helmets... Four AFC Championships in a row should be all the convincing you stalwarts need. We SUCK in white helmets. Red hat + Royal Blue Jersey + Red socks = Puh-layoffs baby! -
Rex seems like a lousy fit on multiple levels.... I secretly wonder if this unholy union lasts the summer.....

Fred Jackson, Coaching Search, tidbits
#34fan replied to PaattMaann's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Concerns me too... Who is Kim Pegula? -What sort of person is she? -For example, if Kim was the gold-digging trophy wife of our billionaire owner, -Where would that leave the team if (heaven forbid) something should happen to Terry? Of course I don't know her personally. Still, i wonder about her commitment to the region...
