Thurman was the best player on the field duri ng Super Bowl 25

Epic destruction by the great Sammy Morriss..lol

Unfortunatley for Andre the panel of Hall of Fame Voters put a much larger stock in Super Bowl performances than home town team fans do...I just dont see Andre getting in..And I dont disagree..Was he a fun to watch?? Yes..Was I glad he was on the Bills???Yes...Was I a fan of his? yes... I dont think he changed the way teams defended us..Thurman and Kelly changed the way teams defended us..Reed was a part of it yes but he didnt change the way a team defended us..He was number 3 on the list of things teams did to try and stop us..Teams that wanted to beat the Bills wanted to stop Thurman and the runninggame first and foremost..Stop Thurman get to Kelly then stop Reed and the wr's..Teams that beat us did those in that order..

Reread my post before you go putting me in a class of unknowledgeable..I said he didnt do it in the big game..Thats all...If thats what your reputation is and thats what the team relies on you to do and you dont do it in the SUPERBOWL tyou dont deserve the hall of fame..I like Andre and I enjoyed watching him..I just didnt enjoy watching him puke in the SuperBowl..He doesnt deserve it in my opionion..The facts are there he disapeared when it counted most..Everyone saw it and If you would like I can ship you the Tapes and you can check it out for yourself again and be reminded..

After the second qtr of Super Bowl 25 after he was smashed a few times going over the middle he alligator armed a few his way during the game...He stopped goinig over the middle..He was taken out of the game by getting hit enough times to not want to pay the price anymore..The Giants effectively took that weapon away from Kelly..Hope that explains it enough..I have it on VHS still and have tortured myself over a 100 times watching and disecting the game along with the other 3 losses..He did make a living going over the middle during the regular season and early rounds of the playoffs..But when he needed to shine the most he became a dull nightlite..You just dont make the HOF doing it..thats my only fault with Andre..He choked on the biggest stage moreso than most other Bills in my eyes..(excluding Norwood)

When all is said and done I would be willing to bet that Fitzgerald is in the Hall before Andre....I liked Andre but he disapeared in Superbowls..Wouldnt go over the middle after he was hit in the big games and lost his cool in the big game..If you could take out the Super Bowls he wouldve made it I gander..Lynn Swann had less numbers than Andre but he performed when it counted and he is in..You gotta play not crap your pants when it counts...

I played 14 yrs of competitve football..I know the passion..BUt he lost it at when he was on the clock..Choked when it counted too much disappeared when it mattered the most..The single play was the icing the 4 SuperBowl disappearing acts were the cake... I loved watching him in the regular season had some great plays..

I just dont think he is gonna get in..I dont really think he deserves it..I can even recall the play that changed my opinion on him..SuperBowl 26 right before the half..He got interfered with he bitched then proceeded to take his helmet off his head like a little baby 15yrd unsportsmanlike penalty out of fieldgoal range..The game was still in the balance and the fieldgoal wouldve given them some life going into the half but Jerkboy took them out of it..JUst kinda showed me that he was a little to selfish for my liking..A point reinforced towards the end of his career ...He was a very good player but he isnt hall of fame worthy imo..

Not Andre!!!!!! He was total class on the and off the field..He would never put his feelings above the team....He might have recieved the 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty in the SuperBowl for taking his helmet off while trying to imitate a two year olds temper tantrum but he was all class..Sarcasm Off

WHY IS RALPH WILSON STADIUM SO BAD?
Stenbar replied to Steve In Atlanta 2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I grew up in South Garland in the 70's..Went to a few a Cotton Bowl games and my mom always got us 3 games a year at Texas Stadium.I was in awe when I first walked into Texas Stadium..The Theme from Dallas playing, Cowboy Ray..It was pretty neat..Ive been to the Murph in San Diego, Sun Devil Stadium, Rca Dome, both Tampa Stadiums, Meadowlands, The Coliseum, Notre Dame, Michigan Stadium, SuperDome, Rose Bowl, Jax Stadium, Dolphins Stadium,The Ralph..I have got to say the nicest place to watch a game I have been to is Raymond James..As far as atmospheres go it is the The Ralph.. -
Frank Reich new QB coach in Indy

Maybe he will be the next head coach in Buffalo... -
This is my version of a descending player....

I will put it like this..A good qb will mask a a whole lot of bad items on your team...If you dont have a good qb your bad items get multiplied..You are right to a point about not putting wins and losses on a qb however a I guarantee you if you put a bonafide good qb who can play the game the way it is suppose to be played (reading a defense, not taking a chance when not needed, taking a chance when needed, knowing where to go with the ball during a blitz, knowing when to call a timeout, being able to throw most every pass etc..) I guarantee you he will effect your teams wins and losses more than any other player on the team..And likewise if you have a bonehead qb like we have endured over the past 9 years at least you get what we have witnessed, confusion chaos and watching the NFL playoffs on sundays without the Bills..So if it makes you feel better to cross off the he and put Bills there go ahead its the "politically correct" thing to do.However call a spade a spade..If the Bills had a had a better qb over the past years they wouldve made the playoffs..

Something tells me that going from a 1-15 season to division champs and a trip to the playoffs will quell most fans whining..

Marshawn is the real deal when he is in the game but his decisions while he is out of the game are starting to look a little questionable..Maybe he had a court date for his civil suit????? And what is "Bills Football"??
-
Agreed but that has nothing to do with anyhting in this conversastion.. No one is questioning his work ethic or his game effort..Just why he wasnt down there supporting his teamates like he shouldve been..It's not worth arguing at this point the deed is done...Hopefully next time he does the right thing and acts like he is part of the team..Which is exactly what 100% of any coach at any level of football will tell every player...
-
He is concerned about why an important part of the team is up in a luxury box why his teamates are down freezin it out...I guess if you have never played football and been part of team where everyone is suppose to have each others back I get why you wouldnt worry about it..I have seen lots of injured players down on the sidelines dressed in civi's supporting their teamates..And they should be....I remember the Bills comeback game Kelly was on the sidelines along with a host of other hurt players supporting their team..Its called comraderie....I think its a big deal and it could be a window look at what type of team chemistry the Bills have..Now if he is injured so severe where he has to be inside and off his feet thats another story but I dont think he had that type of injury but if he does there's the answer if not he has some attitude adjusting to be had. I think it is one of many things everyone should worry about..

I see many flaws in Trents game..I would rather him be less injury prone..I would like him to be confident enough in his game and position so that when a play doesnt come in on time he can take charge and run something succesful, an example wouldve been during the 2 minute drill at the end of the half with all the confusion he shouldve stepped up and called a play instead of letting the clock run out..He has to learn to throw the ball and take chances at key points in the game and let his players make plays..Look what Delhomme did with Steve Smith in double coverage at the end of the game..He gave his receiver a chance to make a play he made it they won..Those are some major flaws he has to overcome..If he does great if not bring on the next one.. With that said I am so glad I never have to watch a BUffalo Bills offense run by JP again..
