  1. I qualified it with the 2nd question because I knew I might get answers like yours. You fail!
  2. I still only see about on 6 to 7 almost “sure thing” picks in this draft. If the Bills truly were just picking BPA at 10, what would your list as the top 15 BPA look like? How would you rank the draft prospects strictly based on being the BPA? Below are some of the so called “experts” lists. cbs fftoolbox draft countdown Scouts Inc. ESPN
  3. After Claiborne, who we don’t have a shot at, I see three quality CBs left in the draft, Gilmore, Kirkpatrick and Jenkins. Of them I see Gilmore is the best fit for the Bills. I don’t see any of them lasting till the Bills 2nd round pick. After them I don’t see a CB left in the draft with a reasonable chance of turning out to be a top quality CB and being so in their first year. I really believe the Bills greatest need is LT. But Reiff, Martin and Adams just all seem too flawed for a #10 pick. And we all know there is no way Kalil will even make it past the top 5. I don’t see any of them as much of a sure thing. I see Sanders and the rest of the 2nd – 3rd rounders as not that much of a drop off in potential for success. While I believe Floyd will be the technically BPA and is a position of need, I really believe the difference in talent between him and the huge pool of talented receivers for the 2nd round is not really that great. Hill, Jeffrey, Sanu, Randle, Streeter, even McNutt in later rounds all seem to have the potential to be true contributors to the team, and it appears more than a couple will still be there to choose from when the Bills 2nd round pick is up. Thanks for the responses. The true first round talent this year is about 6 or 7 picks deep, and then it seems everyone else is more like 2nd round talent. And we pick at #10. So that is my dilemma, this is one year I’m glad I am not responsible for making the draft choices. Glad the pressure is not on me, it is a tough year for Nix and company to have a #10. So much pressure, so little chance of finding sure thing talent, and so many high expectations from all of us.
  4. Come on. I need better than that. I need some reasons not to choose him, and no one is helping!
  5. After Martin's Pro Day and questions about Floyd's character, I'm starting to think Gilmore fits a need, and has the best chance of being the safest pick for the future, and for this year. I'm not seeing a whole lot of convincing downsides to Gilmore this year and in the future. Seems there will be a lot of possibilities in round 2 for an OT and lots of possibilities all the way through McNutt at WR. Somebody talk me out of it!
  6. I too was interested in QBs by Draft position. I found this link Starting NFL QB's by Position in Draft
  7. Okay, we all dream. I am dreaming that we have a good draft this year. We get a quality CB,WR,LOT and get some solid backup depth. But the missing piece will be QB. Trying to make my imaginary draft picks I look for developmental QBs in the mid rounds. Maybe next year we get our QB. Then I researched. Other than a lucky fluke like Brady, I found this article about drafting a QB in the later rounds. Quite an eye opener. Wow! So much for wasting a mid round pick on a VERY long gamble. Starting QB's by Position Drafted
  8. Our only hope is Richardson being there. I wish we could, but the prospects are not good. Love another 2nd round pick.
  9. Mine: OT (Reiff, Martin, Adams) 1st Curry DE, or Jeffery WR, or Brown OLB 2nd Mcnutt WR or Best Available CB 3rd Speedy OLB to cover TE’s, or CB or DE 4th A Developmental QB 4th B
  10. Miami, here comes Tannnehill!
  11. I brought him up weeks ago and everyone shot me down.
  12. Why not bring back TO. With an incentive based one year contract, how could we loose? He sure fits a need, and is hungry.
  13. Agree. Meachem or Garcon would be less expensive and give us similar results while leaving money for another free agent to fill our many holes. And he is too old for the future when we finally have a real QB and not a stopgap.
  14. Sure hope this draft is way off for the Bill's. The only choice I can even live with is Ingram. I would consider the draft as listed a wasted year again.
  15. My wish list of FA who might be within our budget and fit our needs. All have a few years ahead of them, as they are young. Comments? Pierre Garcon Position: WR Age: 25 ( unfortunately probably will go where Peyton goes) Curtis Lofton Position: MLB Age: 25 Jason Jones Position: DT Age: 25 John Carlson Position: TE Age: 27 Terrell Thomas Position: CB Age: 26 If you could fill a few holes with a couple of these you could draft an OT with our # 10, if we can’t trade down. Hope Curry is there in the 2nd.
  16. ouch, got me too!,lol
  17. As I have been saying for months, trade down. I think their 1st and their 2nd would be more realistic, but I'd sure be fine with that. We really would loose nothing considering the talent available and our needs at # 10.
  18. I agree. He would be a definite upgrade. But there would be a QB controversy. If ever given a real chance to compete, there is a good chance he could beat out Fritz. While he is not the answer at QB for the long run, he could be what Fritz is. A caretaker QB while we develop the QB of the future. Actually I would be more comfortable with him than Fritz. Less mistakes, more consistent. Fritz may have more potential to win a few on his own, but Fritz also is more apt to really stink enough to lose a game on his own as well. Campbell is more apt to consistently let a good team to win with a good effort, but not very apt to personally win one by himself when the rest of the team puts in a sub par effort. I'd rather it be a team win or a team loss, based on the overall teams performance, not just one player's performance. But that is just me, I consider it a whole team sport, and a whole team effort.
  19. Agreed that it was definitely "a do as I say not as I do statement". But the hating on the board for his skills as a player are just hating and the comments of a jilted lover variety. He is a pro bowler and I believe he was the top rated free agent at his position when he left the Bills. The Bills decided he was good, but not worth what he wanted to play for. Other teams felt differently. He is a consensus top tier player by any measure among those that don't have their vision clouded by their past biases.
  20. I know there are knocks on his penalties, but at the right price why not Gaither? bleacher report
  21. I could live with Mathis and Routt. Love to get Curry in the 2nd round. That would be a major upgrade for the defense. Another quality LT and WR in the draft and the team is really moving forward. Minus a QB of course, but not a lot of long term options this year.
  22. We all would dream of having Williams on the team. But if you had a choice for equal money where would you play? Patriots and Williams
  23. It just seems at this point that the talent we need will not be available with our 10th pick. The real talent at our needs appears it will be gone and everyone remaining at our real needs positions will be not worthy of a 10th. Just wish we could find a partner for a trade down and possibly pick up another 2nd round pick . Ingram seems to be serviceable pick and could be a solid contributor, but not the game changer we need, and not worthy of a #10. Rather take a lesser player like an Ingram or Mercilus AND a Curry, rather than waste it on a reach like Upshaw, if we can't get a real game changer.
  24. I really don't get the logic of saying because he was killed in a non football related accident, Brown was a lesser player than another, it is about what actual skills and performance he displayed on the field. Not a tragic accident. That is how you compare players.
