  1. I am someone who wasn't particularly charmed by his opening press conference like most people seemingly were. He seemed like a total space cadet. That being said, he made enough plays his rookie year to make me bullish on his future. Let's give this guy a chance before we start burying him.
  2. Sure, but traveling all the time for work really wears on you, especially at $80K a year. Jim Monos probably made six times that as a director of scouting, and he wasn't exactly Bill Polian.
  3. I think the issue is that guys who are consistently great at scouting have opportunities to make a much higher salary in other front office positions.
  4. I think he was. He was electric as a returner, and I think that possibly clouded their judgment on his coverage skills. "We'll put him and Clements back there and have two guys at corner who are a threat to score on every INT." He wasn't a bad player, but Greer was better. Greer a good run with New Orleans, I think, after he left Buffalo.
  5. He absolutely had a nose for the ball. There were a lot of defensive diamonds-in-the-rough during the Gailey era that McDermott could've really shaped into awesome players.
  6. I could be misremembering, but it felt like they chose to start McGee over him for like 20-25 games after Greer had proven to be the better corner.
  7. Many have already said London Fletcher, but it bears repeating just how criminally underrated his time on the Bills was. Ray Lewis and Zach Thomas made the Pro Bowl over him every year at MLB, even in years where Fletch had better stats. I'm glad he finally started getting his due as a Redskin - he was a truly great player.
  8. Please just let us buy games a la carte. I have to get the Ticket to watch the Bills and don't give a rat's ass about being able to watch the Cardinals play the Seahawks nine times a year ar 4PM.
  9. The Gailey years all run together for me.
  10. You know you're a Bills fan when you can reel off 15 all-time horrific losses off the top of your head, yet somehow know that there's still probably another 10-12 that you missed.
  11. LMAO, they will change absolutely nothing of significance in regard to their coaching philosophy. Will be the same song and dance as it is every year. Hopefully, they get a few postseason breaks this time around.
  12. It's interesting how a lot of these physical specimen-type WRs either bust out or underperform in the pros. There truly is an art to route-running, getting open, and playing fast (as opposed to running fast).
  13. And his son, Wills McGahee V, is a senior LB at Iowa.
  14. We would've won that game going away if McDermott hadn't turtled during the second half and coached as conservatively as possible while trying to sit on the lead.
