He should be. He's gotten everything he's wanted and more regarding the defensive line, and he and Beane continue to unearth one undersized stiff after another. He's gotten everything he's wanted regarding the secondary, and it's filled with mediocre and below-average vets and young guys who are always hurt. If the defensive s**ts the bed again this year after they refused to allocate any resources to help Allen, it will be all on him, and he knows it.

A game they were dying to blow, by the way, until a Mark Andrews drop bailed them out.

What is the argument here? That because he was the victim of an unfortunate freak accident (that ended up turning out okay), he just automatically gets a roster spot in perpetuity?
