    Thanks DC. You made my point for me. Fans of clubs that don't win are the same everywhere. It's not, as some posters would make it out to be, the "gullible people of Buffalo". If that comparison isn't convenient for you, how about Chicago baseball fans? Or Clippers fans? Or countless other fans of countless other teams that have struggled? All gullible?

    This is stupid. Is it your contention that the people of Boston, from 1919 till 2003, were easily gullible? Sports fans everywhere are the same. They want to feel good about their team. It's got nothing whatsoever to do with "the people of Buffalo".

    Well played SJ. :-) He's actually not horrible, but I just don't see how he'd be an upgrade at any of our DL spots. Love that hit C-Mac put on him on FJ's walk in TD in '11.

    Sorry dude, that's not evidence. Shanahan could have had myriad reasons for interviewing with no intention of ever taking the job. The facts are simple. The top two (that we know of) candidates said "no". That means Nix could NOT have hired anyone he wanted.

    Fair enough. I am too, and I agree. Like you, I also have concerns about Austin's size. If anyone is going to buck the odds, I feel like it's going to be him. In a strange way, the guy reminds me of Allen Iverson (high school aside). That said, if someone offers up a trade to take him at 8, I say make the deal and grab the extra picks. Go Bills!

    Does it matter where Smith was drafted though? As been argued here many times relative to the QB situation, if you like a guy you take him, regardless of where he should go. In hindsight, could a justification be made for taking Smith at 8?
