There have been some bad Bills teams over the years, but what makes this team and the string of teams since 2000 is this happens in the age of parity, with free agency and the cap, and we still can't get to competitive. How long does this guy get a pass? 6 months? 2 years? 10 years? Someone in your family dies, how long do you get off from work, and then they expect you back fully contributing?

Here's a bit of math for everyone. Last year Ottawa got 8th place with 92 points. They got 56% of their points last year. Assume it takes 56% this year with a 48 game schedule, that means you need 54 points. The Sabres got 11 points with 13 games in, that is 42%. They need 43 points in their next 35 games, a 62% clip. That's like 21-13-1 the rest of the way. That's a big turn-around from 5-7-1 where they are today. Anyone see it happening?
