LMAO. Wut? She calls the cops on him, and when they show up, he's taken off, and most importantly, they see bruises on her body, to include marks on her neck.

Later, she realizes that Von may lose millions of dollars, and of course that will affect her & her kids, so she tries to brush off the situation.

So, "the fact set" never changed (she was assaulted by VM) but her mindset did because of the realization of losing millions of dollars, and consequently, likely losing her lavish lifestyle.

    Get it?

You paraphrase my post and ask if I understand the situation??  You may want to read it again, Bob.

Literally the entire board, along with Bills Twitter, was saying yesterday … if he did what he’s accused of, he needs to be gone.

Now his gf is backtracking and defending him and some of us are simply asking what anyone thinks the NFL/Bills are supposed to do in this situation.

    but go off…

If he did it he should be gone.  BUT if he definitely did it but now the victim claims it was all a big misunderstanding after the fact because relationships are complicated, thats an entirely different fact set.  Get it?

You'd be right if it got to that point. The SRO didn't even make a report (I think), I don't think he was ever arrested.

He was arrested. Lots of details for no report.

Its not at all uncommon for the victim to recant or later minimize the incident.  This is unfortunately a common occurrence in DV situations.  I believe law enforcement typically calls it a day at that point.

Wondering if Pegula has some people or person ( outside the organizatjon ) that gives him advice as to hiring or firing coaches or other management positions?  Anyone ever read or heard?

We needed McDermott to call a competent 4th quarter and we win. 32nd in the league during the 4th quarter over the last 8 games from our defensive head coach.

Instead of blaming the side of the ball who got the lead with 1:45 left on the clock let’s call a spade a spade here.

If the offense needs to be so much better then the defense is in the dumpster.

Why can't we blame the side that played from behind for 58 minutes while turning the ball over, forcing our defense to defend short fields, and generally doing nothing productive?  The offense was SUPPOSED to be so much better than it was.  Good offense beats good defense in the modern NFL.  The offense was a healthy unit with a top 3 QB and was struggling to keep pace with Tyrod, Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, and whatever is left of Russ Wilson.  The offense was equal to or worse than the "dumpster" defense missing half its starters during the losing streak.

The D did not make a stop when needed.  This is an old story.  Yep 0-6 in OT too because not a single D stop.

Offense can score 6 sometimes.  Its allowed. Other teams do it to us.

The Buffalo Bills are more likely to go 0-5 or 1-4 the Bills are toast for the playoffs this season. I predict the Bills run for the bus mail on this season with one foot out of Buffalo to go to there offseason homes until next season. I think that is more likely to happen the last five games. When it gets cold like now in Buffalo and you’re basically out of it the Bills will do what they do best during the drought years mail it in until next season. Some players will shut it down for taking care of injuries so they are ready for training camp next season which will also hurt the Bills chances of winning over the next 5 games. The Bills are at that folk in the road now after the Philadelphia Eagles loss basically draft position. I wonder at what point maybe another loss that the Bills shut down Josh Allen for next season there is no point exposing Josh Allen to wear and tear on his body if the Bills are out of playoff contention in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

I wonder at what point you make good on your promise to leave for good?  Seems like you've found a second wind after a few tough losses.  Typical super fan behavior. Who needs Phins fans when we have die hards like you?

Granted, the offense has had issues over the course of the season, but it mostly shows up in the fourth quarter, generally speaking. As for the defense in such situations, they have by my count folded 8 times in late-game situations:

    Pats game

    Denver game

    Philly game

Giants game (saved by a ridiculous non-call on the last play - that was blatant DPI)

Cincy -- couldn't get a stop on Cincy’s final possession late to give Allen one more chance

Jax: with the score 11-7 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, they give up 2 long td drives to Jax, with one drive starting at the Jax 7 yard line. Yes, there were injuries, but the D was still steamrolled late in the game — which has been par for the course. To be sure, the offense should have done more early on, but they woke up in the latter part of the game.

TB - the Bills had a dominating two-TD lead and almost blew it by surrendering a penalty-riddled late TD drive and 2-point conversion followed by a near miss of a hail mary after giving up 3 completions to a team with zero timeouts, which allowed TB to get in position to make the throw.

First Jets game (with special teams collapsing in OT too) - they had a 13-6 lead in the 4th and gave up a 60-yard TD drive to a horrible QB, allowing the Jets to tie it. Of course, Allen was awful  in that game too, but the Bills D didn’t create any plays late either.

Big props to Dorsey and the offensive for having us in defensive slug matches with the worst offenses in the NFL for half the season. Defense kept us in the Pats, Jax, Denver, and Jets game while the offense did nothing but turn the ball over.  While the collective 6 minute lead we enjoyed in those 4 games was nice I have a hard time with any narrative that the defense let the offense down.  Its really been complementary football in that regard.

Lets not forget special teams which might be more deserving of credit for at least 3 losses.

  8. This is a gutless thread.  In the past people used to directly state what the issue is.  They didn't hide behind vague language and project all sorts of machinations and conniving motives.   Back in the old days they would just state the truth: Sean McDermott is the son of Satan and drinks babies' blood.  This lame attempt at character assassination is like kneeling at offensive 10 in a tie game with 1 minute left and 3 timeouts.  Gutless.

BB is far from the ideal choice but I'm pretty certain he would help prevent these late-game meltdowns on D and special teams.

He's the best Defensive Coordinator in NFL history in my opinion. No way this works and no way this thread has any merit outside of a semi clever title but Bill can certainly put together a game plan.

Detroit Red Wings signed Patrick Kane to a 1 year, $2.5 million deal.

Fine by me! I was nervous about Buffalo signing him after the hip procedure he had. I don’t think any NHL player has ever been able to come back from it. Iirc the most games played by someone who had that procedure is 30-something games (?)

I am a little relieved.  I wouldn't have hated a one year deal but I don't expect Kane will provide much of anything besides a decent example for all the rookies.  His roster spot is more valuable letting some of the rookies and call ups get action and develop at this point in his career.

Can you imagine the outrage if he actually called for a punt from the 31 yard line?   Holy Jesus that woulda been stupid.

This is the thread that jumped the shark on McDermott criticism.  Pretty much shows that some fans are going to be against every decision that doesn’t work out perfectly.

Netting 10 yards would have been pretty sweet though.

Minimum expectations, man.....  Go to twitter if you want to lob lazy idiocies into the void.  Its what its designed for.  There are minimum expectations for starting new threads and those that fall short of that very low bar should be criticized.

You start a thread with no substance at all.  A thread which could easily be a single forgettable post in the 20 other threads discussing a coaching change and you can't even be bothered to get the guy's ***** name right?  And you want to be taken seriously too? Grow the ***** up!

    so what do we do?

Like him or not, I think I have to get on the Harbough or bust Train.

A proven coach and leader is probably what this team needs...

At least get the F@#$ing name right

  15. Add Cook and Davis to the poll. Officials calling zero PIs on 51 pass attempts when Slay was mugging people was another contributing factor.

Feels like I should state the obvious that there was no single play that lost the football game but rather a confluence of mistakes and missed opportunities but I don't want to interfere with your lynching.

Enough of this nitpicky, scapegoating BS when the issue is obviously at the top of the team.

Stef Diggs is not a problem. As a matter of fact, I'd say if we had 22 Stef Diggs we'd have 2 Lombardis by now. Dude is a baller and a consummate pro who always shows up to play.

Replace the coaching and let the talent win.

What scheme are you running with 22 Diggs?  Makes no sense.

In all seriousness, he had 6 catches on 11 targets and dropped at least one that hit him in the hands.  The drops are creeping in and that concerns me.  He also got mugged by Slay and there were zero calls which hurts that number.  I believe he subbed himself out on a number of those third downs.  I wonder if he is playing with injury or if he was sick because no way hes tapping out on critical downs.  Diggs is still our best weapon but we need to bring in young talent this offseason.

I don't agree that it equates to a 3 year drought, but I do agree with the rest of the post. This team as currently constituted is done. Allen apart how many of this team are you willing to put in stone as day 1 starters in 2025. Kincaid, maybe Torrence, Cook, Ed Oliver, possibly Groot (and some might challenge that). Everyone else could conceivably be gone in the next two years.

No team in the modern era has any certainty as to starters 2 years in the future outside of a small handful of players.  Looking at the Chiefs right now and that entire roster could churn outside of Mahomes and Jawaan Taylor by 2025.
