Consider also Bills may not have all the Coaches they want yet. Some might feel ( me ) that Dennison was a stopgap. They made a number of changes on both Def and Off as well. This past draft is NOT the defining moment of the Team long term. I hope Pegulas are more patient. Unless the Team goes off the track ala Ryan Bros , it will be hard for me to set a date for Beane to realize success. certainly not 2019 and probably not 2020. I might bet they agreed on a five year goal with some metric inserted.

Daboll is the X variable in the equation

From my experience some folks here have a track record of being rather knowledgeable. Some have dedicated seasons to the study of players. Some might well have been Scouts, or Coaches and over NFL players. One or two might be associated with GM material. Bill has shown over time that he knows more than most all of us when scouting. And he remains humble about it. I am comfortable deferring to him. even when i don't like his evaluation : ) I think the number was 4 actually vying for the top QB picks. As to success rates? So muuch is circumstance as in the Team that picks them . Their ability to develop him proper , and then surround him with players to increase his confidence and long term health. One of the reasons i sure hope they are doing as appears and letting AJM or Peterman hold the reigns as long as possible A rare day when a QB is a sure thing !

That what i am thinking as well.

I tried to polish the trophy ( EJM future as Bills QB) many times after him being drafted in hopes he might develop ! and all the plating came off.

I feel Bills made an educated opinion to put themselves in position for QB. Manuel smelt of desperation and played out as such. I cheered him as well. But most of the world knew he was unlikely to succeed in Buffalo. Bills could have picked higher or lower this past draft. Seems to me they were satisfied with the pick and how they got there. Organized and planned. Tidy even. This is a different FO than the Nix Whaley show. And no, i do not know the power ball numbers, if i did i would not share them LOL

as in The veritable Pinnacle ? methinks you have given too much credence to a poster. Allen will not become EJ Manuel, a desperate pick at the wrong time to pick a QB. But i digress. The method in which Bills drafted the QB this year was very well done. Placed themselves in position to get to #1 . But were wise ( my opinion ) to play the hand smartly. They did not hang their Hats (careers ) on this QB, They can draft another one in the first next year if need be. Lets hope they are pleased with his long term projection as he develops. so i agree. Much too soon to reach a definitive conclusion. and really no reason to.

no question he has been at top of his game. and qualifies as the best RB because of his overall skill set. I would prefer Bills build the offense next year and the year after. There will be the opportunity to draft a RB or two soon enough. Is this all because some assume Shady is going commissioner exempt ? Cuz plenty of folks have been pissing about how much Bills paid Shady for years !

The O line Coach still the Castillo in the room. Daboll is the New up and coming new O Coordinator. I questioned Ducasse over Groy many a game.especially early on. Surprised they were not working hard to get Groy some reps. But maybe as mentioned above he is more valuable as a versatile backup ? I do want to see him succeed. He was better than Wood at Ctr. But do not be surprised if Bodine is the starter. Bob i might suggest the Whole Line is unproven as a group and as individuals. One good season doth not make Dawkins a solid long term LT. Hope remains though I suggest McD thinks otherwise. He wants the best depth. It's not a bad idea really, as seasons come and go based upon injuries and how teams can fit the dropoff in talent
