  2. Swimmers are hairless to shave split seconds off their time. Bodybuilding is basically synonymous with a beauty pageant. It's not performance related. There was a Canadian triathlete who won a gold with carpet-like hair on his chest. You're over-analyzing this. Football isn't a beauty contest or a game consisting of split seconds. It requires strength, heart and ability; all of which Fitz possesses: beard or no beard.
  3. I don't care what he looks like. He has his own image which is fine with me. He had one good (pre season) game without a beard. I have a feeling that performance and facial hair length aren't strongly correlated
  4. He's a 7th round pick for a reason. He doesn't have the rocket arm, precise passing, or quick feet like first round picks do; but he has "football smarts" which cannot be measured. I am not trashing Fitz in any way at all. It's a compliment if anything. The fact that he turned his 7th round draft stock into a starting qb in the NFL really says alot about his character
  5. Who cares? You're trying to make Fitz out to be some clean cut all-american superstar qb like manning, brady and rivers. Fitz has his own swagger, doesn't try to be a pretty boy or conform to the "all american" qb look. He's a workhorse, and has more heart than anyone I've seen in a long time. I could care less about his facial hair (or lack there of). His intangibles are what makes him such a loveable guy and a reason why he's a starter in the NFL.
  6. Agreed. IMO, Manning is in a league of his own. The other qb's have a great supporting cast to help them out. Other than Saturday, the Colts have nobody to block Manning. The guy is remarkable. I think Rivers is the next best, then Rodgers then Brady then Brees. They're all good qb's dont get me wrong, but I don't think Brady should be considered one of the G.O.A.T like Manning will be.
  7. He's oversized for the biggest position in football. To put him in a position which requires speed, strength and agility would just be ridiculous. If we aren't the laughing stock of the league now, we certainly would be if we put a 400 pound anchor in the middle of the field.
  8. New England has an exceptional offensive line. They just struggled against the Lions. They make Brady look alot better than he is, imo (not saying Brady isn't good).
  9. Obviously they have a hole at LT, but other than that, I think that post is pretty ignorant and he clearly has not been following the Bills closely. Sure, Urbik doesn't look great, but we have a backup in Rhinehart who I think has alot of promise. Pears has done nothing to show that he isn't capable of being an NFL RT -- he looks good from what I've seen. Fred Jackson is the starting running back, not Spiller. And I think Spiller will improve alot this year. Barnett looks like an animal thusfar, and was part of Green Bays 3-4 scheme. Kelsay sucks but Carrington looks like he'll be the inevitable replacement. Merriman will be a STUD if he can stay healthy. Maybe this guy should watch some tape before he writes these articles.
  10. I'm willing to bet that they pound us twice like they do every year. This is one comment that I'd love to be wrong on, though.
  11. they'll have the best record in the nfl this year...
  12. Those jerseys look sharp, thanks for the pics Chandler
  13. I remember when we played the Cowboys on the Monday Night game. Romo said that he received a bunch of extreme comments from Bills fans (which I would never do personally. I'm relatively quiet at games, I just like the rowdy environment) and he went on to say that the Ralph is one of the toughest and intimidating places to play in the league. He threw two INTs that game against an inferior Bills team. I really do think fans can get in the head of opposing players. Bills games are a party. I don't condone fighting or vandalism, but swearing and yelling are a part of football. No matter how much the Bills try, they will never be able to eliminate that from the stands.
  14. Evans seen walking around in a boot per profootballtalk. Tough break for Lee and the Ravens.
  15. As a Leaf fan, I despise the Sabres. However, I'd take a Bills superbowl over a Leafs Stanley Cup anyday. I don't think either will happen soon
  16. Although I feel somewhat guilty for this, I have a sense of pride that our fans are notorious for being rowdy and vulgar. I love hearing other players saying how intimidating it is to play in the Ralph. One of the very few advantages the Bills have in the NFL is the fans. We make it hell for opposing players. Bring your children at your own discretion. In a sport where home field advantage is so important, I don't think we should be catering to children and encouraged to "make mom proud". I know I'm going to get flamed for this post. But I love our notoriety for being drunk, football-crazed fans.
  17. Haha I was talking about one year, right now but I still can't argue with any of your teams. Although I feel that Merriweather is EXTREMELY overrated. He's a Byrd who can hit a bit harder and plays for a phenomenal defensive coach. Oh, and my extreme hatred for the Pats may influence my opinion a bit
  18. Well it's no coincidence that the Pats have been destroying everyone thusfar. However, the Lions went 4-0 in pre-season in the year that they didn't win a game. There definitely is a correlation, but I'm also willing to bet that there are plenty of outliers. Let's hope that the Bills are outliers.
