That was definitely one of the worst passes of Josh's NFL career. Freshman High school awareness and delivery.

Sure I get that, but they're not doing ANY of this stuff at all in games and the misdirection plays also seem to be at a minimum. Deception and disguise seem to have evaporated the from the playcalling. The question is why?

Nothing even that radical, A reverse, a fake reverse, a half back option, a flea flicker, the RB option that throws back to Josh (done successfully twice by Daboll). Any of these plays thrown into a game would be great to see.

The one thing that irks me most about vanilla Dorsey is that he doesnt really challenge the talent on this offense with innovative play designs. I have not seen much in the way of trickery or schemes that are complex. Does he not trust these guys to pull off complicated plays? Daboll had confidence in Josh to run that kind of offense but Dorsey seems a little scared. What has resulted is a predictable offense that defensive coaches can neutralize (if they plan properly).

The thing that strikes me about Elam is how baffling it is he could be a 1st round pick. He doesn't really look like a savvy college player right now. Kinda looks like a guy learning to play defense in high school. I get its a learning curve in the NFL but Elam to me looks like a 5th or 6th round pick at best not a 1st round. These guys should just step in and contribute at a high level right away. That being said, he was ok last night but got burned on that nice pass from Tyrod.

I'm not sure why people are constantly surprised at the officials missing calls. They are incompetent, old and often out of position or unsighted . I thought the first DPI was legit but the 2nd was a good non call. What I am really concerned with is that our defensive backs dont seem to be ball hawking or even turning to face the passes being thrown. That happened repeatedly. Is the new style of pass defense in the NFL to just stare at the receivers eyes and just wave your arms in front of them? and why is a tall DB not a thing in the NFL. These jump ball like passes in the endzone would be better suited for a tall DB.
