  1. Signed up for what? These young men are treated like chattel from Little Loop all the way through the combine. Fathers of players sit in a smokey room at a tavern and pick kids from the district. They have them over to their houses to "play football" but what they're really doing is scoping out speed, strength and agility under the guise of "fun and games". Little kids are "selected" based on their athleticism and are then carted from town to town so the coach can showcase what fine athletes he has found in his own district. You telling me little John or Saquon have even the slightest notion they are being put through a mini combine at the age of 9? They have no clue. Meanwhile, Coach Peterson (with his tight Bike shorts and whistle) starts making calls basically saying "I HAVE this kid that I FOUND and he'd be perfect for your needs". Then the kid gets the same treatment through high school, college and on to the gold standard of "property transfer"...the NFL. It's sickening when you think about it.
  2. While all y'all are salivating over who we'll "get" or who Beane will "select", all you're really doing is perpetuating the idea that we can judge, bargain shop and compare young men based on physical traits like hips, arms, chest, jumping ability, speed and agility. It's a meat market mentality and now we all sit in front of the screen and watch a Hollywood atmosphere (cameras, red carpets, interviews, fancy clothes) as young men (black, white, Fiji islands and latinos) get "selected" by "the man". I don't put Beane or Pegula in this category...they get a pass. But guys like Dorsey, Bellichick, Gettleman, Jerry Jones and coaches like Pete Carroll, Andy Reid and Mike Tomlin are choosing men who will be forced into service for a team or city for whom they may not wish to work. Next thing you know, they'll be checking the players teeth, or making them carry loads of bricks on their backs with some goofy reason like "we need to check the teeth because it helps us understand their hygiene practices" or "carrying bricks on their back is a sign of their ability to carry a team when they are down in the 4th quarter". I feel bad for these young men. They don't understand the symbolic nature of what they have gone through. The first thing that happens when they get "selected" is they put on a team hat....talk about branding. It's ridiculous. I probably won't even watch and I would suggest if you have even a rudimentary understanding of "human rights" you would do the same. Peace out!
  3. Its size, design and location point toward it being a sailing ship called the Lake Serpent, which sunk in 1829. The inscription on the bow of the boat reads as follows: I’m a whole different species im convince im not a human never was im more like a advance reptilian solar being I’m very powerful it’s kinda scares me
  4. Beane’s “I don’t know” answer was not in response to whether we are trading up, but rather, “How do you pronounce this reporter’s last name”. Honest mistake.
  5. Wtf?? This board was fun for awhile. Going downhill fast.
  6. Anyone have any good recipes for crab dip?
  7. Welll, maybe they’re should be one or too pinned threads two avoid duplicate threads on absolute nonsensical hot takes for the first round pick(s). In the “olden” days our posts would be consolidated. Now their are posts for every thought that pops into a person’s noggin (Josh Rosen at 5? Josh Rosen at 12? Mayfield has a cramp...draftable? Sell me on Josh Allen. Can we get Darnold for a cup o’ sugar and a new set of tires?) So yeah...enjoy the pick. Think about it. Then come up with a really interesting take, and include it in an existing thread regarding that player. Go Bills!!
  8. Other posters I really appreciate on here: MyDogAtePeterman WafflesonmyJunk MeadsGloryHole53382 Hard1 ThadLewisis#$@!Nuts PepperidgeFarmMilano
  9. Most Valuable Poster (as it relates to hours of fun reading incomprehensible posts and Shouts): 1) Dog90210 2) Microscopes 3) Lee Lee Phoenix Real MVP’s who have a sense of humor and don’t take the football talk so personally: 1) Gugny 2) Mike in Horseheads 3) Jauronimo 4) Cripple Creek 5) Teef 6) Royale 7) Nanker 8) Shady 9) Cletus 10) Jimmy Spags 11) 4merper4mer 12) Mommy’sMeatballsandSauce 13) Godfather 14) MertonHanksNeck 15) ABeerandASteak 16) FoShoYoNo 17) ACrysallisforChristmas 18) HankWilliamsGerbil 19) WhichBathroomShouldIUse There are so many others but these are the ones that popped in my head. Love you all.
  10. Because I was always taught “when in doubt...don’t”. Meaning: If none of these guys are a “lock” then build your base. Win the war...rather than the battle.
  11. Yeah. That worked out well. Why? I am thankful for your contributions to the board and look forward to more of your profound contributions.
  12. Ya know what? !@#$ the New York Football Giants. We’re staying at 12. That’s the smart move.
  13. Their talking about german as “growing” which is derived from the latina word “german nation” which means appropriate.
  14. I didn’t realize he was referring to the “hand size” argument postulated in another thread. This thread is not related to that appendage in any way. My point (which was lost in the riff raff off those who troll TBD) is that a small foot (like Flutie, Breese and Russy Wilson) makes for a slippery slope. Whereas, a larger foot is akin to a surf board on a serene pond...smooth sailing and powerful through the turf. I seriously think guys like Buffalone see the words “Shoe size” and get defensive. I’m no pre madonna...just looking for answers to an honest question.
  15. The first “BBMB Refugee Registry” thread was pretty good. Jauronimo had all the “refugees” itemizing their pedigree.
  16. The likelihood of another blizzard game is high. Size 14 shoes can come in handy. * Better traction * The cleat can act as a “snowplow” for fellow team mates * Insulation (R factor) * Speed coefficient I think everyone pretty much agrees, larger the shoe size, better the player. Josh Allen should be the pick. Best arm, hand size and shoe size.
  17. ?? I didn’t see a question....just an attention grab.
  18. Glad you got your two cents in. Way to boost that post count. #LAMPC
  19. So I guess hand size is important for QB’s and WR’s. What about shoe size. Is it indicative of a lengthy career? Does a longer shoe give a player/person better overall power and performance.? Should our team scouts start measuring draft eligible players and free agent’s shoes to gauge their likelihood of success as a player (better stability on the field, greater square inch coverage on the turf for better grip and cutting ability)? Just my thoughts on this subject and thinking about doing an expose on my next cable sports show next Saturday. Feel free to discuss.
  20. I have a cousin who coached Little Loop football in Williamsville My old neighbor used to play Head to Head football with me and would score a rushing TD with an up down down down up quick shift every single time. I used to watch the Thurman Thomas Show and was an avid listener of Art Wander (The Tiny Tot of the Kilowatt) Any other questions? Din’t think so.
  21. Why do we never get Pats at home in December?? Every f——king year!!
  22. Rosen can’t play in Buffalo. When’s the last time you saw a tennis player like the cold?
