  1. You just have to give him a little time to make the transition. There are going to be some growing pains. It's not easy to make the transition, but he's doing what the coaches ask of him. He will be flying around at a high level again by the end of the season!
  2. Hey guys, in the future whenever we talk about Hitler, can we please not talk about the Holocaust and instead just talk about his accomplishments as a political leader? I mean, hey, what's done is done. Forgive and forget! Live and let live baby! Put a flower in your hair!
  3. Yes, of course you need to draft a quarterback. The problem is, Fitzpatrick will win a few games and manage to blow the number one overall pick. Not drafting a quarterback and trying to build around Fitzpatrick is a horrible idea. He's a good backup and a competitor, but he's just not the future. He can stay around the mentor the new kid, though.
  4. You guys act like they are just going to bring in five new outside linebackers in the offseason. Do you think we should draft all outside linebackers next year and just start the rookies, or do you think we should sign five retreads that can't get a job anywhere else in the offseason (Cornell Green types) and play them? The Bills have no choice. Let's not forget that Kelsay has been around a long time, and has done enough to impress FOUR different coaching staffs. I know you guys think you all know football better than Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey and Jauron and Gailey, but they all believed in Chris Kelsay. He's also just a nice guy with a lot of personality that's fun to be around. Just because he doesn't run his mouth in the media, that doesn't make him a "stiff".
  5. It was a really good celebration, very creative and very funny. It was worth the penalty.
  6. So if the Bills cut all of their outside linebackers, who are the five or so free agents that you propose bringing in to replace them? It's impossible to turn over an entire roster in one season, you just simply have to keep some bodies around. Would you rather see them extend Maybin?
  7. Has anyone else noticed that more and more teams are popping up with new Gronkowski's around the league?
  8. The Chiefs are not a powerhouse, but they do have some good young players on both sides of the ball that look to have promising potential. Couple that with an up and coming head coach and a quarterback who is at least halfway decent, and it all adds up to hope for the future. I'm a little jealous of the Chiefs.
  9. No one wants Marshawn Lynch. The Rams would be an especially bad fit - what would they do in a few weeks when Jackson returns?
  10. You can coach accuracy, to an extent, just like anything else. They work on drills to improve their footwork and delivery and other mechanics all the time, to help get more consistently accurate throws. You can also coach basketball shooters with better shooting techniques. But at a certain point, good shooters are just good shooters, and accurate quarterbacks are just accurate.
  11. Maybe instead of keeping good character guys like Kelsay we should extend jokers like Marshawn Lynch, and then just go ahead and bring in Mike Vick.
  12. Wow, not one person on this board will support this guy? There are a lot of places on this team that need help before you need to start worrying about Chris Kelsay. If they would get someone better linebackers to play alongside him, it would allow him to fully realize his potential on the field.
  13. Fitzpatrick was an improvement over Edwards, but you can blame him because he threw costly interceptions in crunch time to lose the game.
  14. It's because he is very small and weak. He weighs less than comparable players, and can not do many bench presses. The only move he has is a "speed" rush, but his 40 time is actually much lower than Orakpo's.
  15. The Bills don't play any of the players they draft. Here's round 2 through 7: Troup Carrington Easley Wang Moats Batten Brown Calloway I mean how many of these guys even dress, let alone make a play?
  16. It just always feels like whenever the Bills offense finally shows some signs of life, year after year the defense IMMMEDIATELY gives up a touchdown. The defense is only capable of playing at a reasonable level if the offense is struggling.
  17. Chris Kelsay is well deserving of a big contract extension. He is obviously well respected among players and coaches, as he is a multiple time team captain selection. He has never been an off the field issue, he doesn't complain, and provides solid veteran leadership. Even if you don't think he is an elite player, the fact is the Bills have to play someone at outside linebacker. Look at the other outside linebackers on the team - Ellis, Torbor, and Maybin? It's not realistic to cut the entire group in one offseason. You have to pay somebody to pay outside linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, so it might as well be a good, hard working guy like Chris Kelsay.
  18. If Trent had blown this game, there would be plenty of Trent bashing threads. Today the offense played better than anyone could have expected, and the defense let everyone down and did absolutely NOTHING out there. Kudos to the offense for a respectable showing, but all the things that are wrong with the defense were really highlighted out there.
  19. Maybin is just too frail and weak to play the position. Freeney is a great speed pass rusher, and he is 6'1" and 270lbs. Maybin is 6'4" and 250lbs (and probably listed heavier than he actually is). That's a huge difference, adding 3 inches of height yet taking away 20lbs. Maybin is closer in size to a more traditional linebacker - Clay Matthews is 6'3" 255. He's just a too skinny. Maybin only could do 22 bench press reps at the combine. Orakpo did 31, which is a very wide margin. Also, although Maybin is a "speed" guy, Orakpo also ran a much faster 40 yard dash than Maybin.
  20. He probably won't come out this year, but regardless he's not anywhere close to a first round pick.
  21. Kelsay plays because the Bills are paying him so much money. When you give a guy that kind of big contract, there is an organizational pressure to keep him on the field and not "waste" the money. It's very obvious he is a liability in coverage and a more natural 4-3 end than 3-4 linebacker (although he wasn't really good at DE either).
  22. If you let one guy have a sign, you need to let everyone have a sign. Then some random stadium worker has to decide whether or not that sign is acceptable. Obviously hanging a giant banner that says "Bills Stink" would be a problem. With fan morale at a very low level, they don't want the hassle.
  23. Bringing in Jeff Garcia is an awful idea. There is no future there whatsoever. It's not like the Bills are a complete contender if they could just find some solid veteran QB play. I have no idea if Jeff Garcia has anything left, but even in his decline he was certainly better than anyone on the current Bills roster - I'll give you that. But this team needs another young Jim Kelly to return to prominence, not a used-up retread that might win us an extra game this year.
  24. A great man once said, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." That's basically how it is for the Bills poor draft choices. As long as they don't play them, there remains some chance in people's minds that they might be good someday.
  25. If Luck stays in college and extra year to avoid the Bills, there might be a lockout and the Bills could be set up to draft number one overall again, and take him the second time around. Even if there isn't a lockout, the Bills can just go 0-16 for a second straight year and lock him up. Sometimes there is no avoiding your destiny.
