I'd move Pettine ahead of both. 7-9 with the disaster that was the Browns last year should put him around the average mark not under. Ron Rivera is riding the Cam train. McCoy, I'm meh on. That's a good roster in SD, and they have a franchise QB.

Pittsburgh has never been in the whole or been in the downward trend that Buffalo is. It's not just the city, but the entire region is losing population. which is pretty Singular to Buffalo when it comes to areas in the decline.

It's 7-8 mil a year to cut him the next 2/3 years. After that it's basically free. To me sending a second for a guy who if cut costs you another 8 mil, that's expensive. Let's break it down in players rather than numbers. 2nd round pick =Kiko (rip- a bit of a reach, but a solid second round pick, and kind of what you expect from a high draft pick) Salary=Dareus. That is the minimum acquiring him costs. Now if he doesn't work out he also costs you guys who will probably make about 7-8 mil so you pick which player, but you get the gist via caliber: Glenn Gilmore A.williams Iupati Hughes (at least what we offered) So worst case scenario Kaep costs you Kiko, Glenn, and Dareus...

Nope 100 times over. Not worth a first, especially with the contract. You don't give up a first for a guy you might need to replace in 2 years.

He carries quite a bit of dead money the next two years. Tough time to let him go. Year 3 is cheap to dump him. After that it's basically free. His contract counts between 15-20 against the cap so it's actually manageable. About the same as Mario in just cap dollars per year (not counting dead money if cut/traded here) The question becomes Dareus or Kaep? We couldn't have them both next year. Wonder what the cost is to get him. Cutlers contract isn't a whole lot different. Expensive this year but gets less as it progresses. A 2nd seems about right, but for a QB with a lot of questions, it seems like a lot to absorb the cap hit.

Not sure if this goes here. But is it absurd for me to think the bills should spend about 10 mil this year and roll the other 10 to next year to sign our own guys back? Basically I think that means Iupati, Hughes, or Revis only. Or a few role players. That 10 mil basically pays Dareus next year, basically just adding his salary of 8 this year to that roll over. That should leave us with the same money-ish we have now and can get done at least 2 of the 3 in Gilmore Bradham and Glenn on top of Marcel. There is a lot of talk about the ability to restructure. That just delays the inevitable I think.

. Rodgers gets pummeled behind his line. Wasn't he the most sacked or hit QB in the league in the last few years. That doesn't mean I dislike the signing of it happens. The money being spent is worrisome to me based on the guys needing contracts next year. But that's a different discussion. I really think Urbik is fine at G, not great, not bad. Sitting between Wood and Bulaga/Glenn would be really beneficial for him and mask a lot of deficiencies. Similar (but opposite) to how rough Wood was last year between Whoever we had at G out there. If we sign a starting RT We are probably OK at G right now. If the plan is Henderson, we still need G help.

I believe those all go towards the cap. Could be wrong. This was my point about bounty gate. More than the pay for play and dirty hits. Illegally spending money and having it not go to the cap was a red flag for me.

This is my issue with the trade. I can rationalize the skill for skill part. We didn't miss Kiko last year at all. But what the trade also does by proxy is cost is resigning one of our own. Cap space is right around 25 mil, -5 for rookies, 10 for Shady. That leaves us around 10 mil to resign Bradham, Dareus, Glenn, Gilmore. In essence this move may cost us Kiko and one of the above.

I was already to post that I thought Oher's arm length might be too long to shift inside, but looking it up, they really aren't, though it is possible, not sure it translates. It is weird he played well at RT for a while, then not even close. Also 10 games at Ol Miss doesn't mean he can do it productively in the NFL. He has poor footwork, and arms on the longer side (although he isn't as long as i thought (that's what she said)) If he is super cheap, and very little bonus so he can be cut, go for it, but otherwise pass.

Pat Kirwan made a really good point today, if You don't like the goal line personel on the field, spread everybody out. It either forces a mismatch in coverage, where you look towards the pylon, or forces the pats to take a TO. Not defending the play call, but in theory the Seahawks picked on an undrafted rookie FA to win the game. It was a winnable match up on paper, guy made a good play.

At the time it made sense though. Both were productive, and both coming off injury. Culpepper with a knee and Brees with a shoulder. If you had to pick a between a QB with a bad knee or bad shoulder, which would you choose?

I am not being dramatic, that is the measurements of the entirety of Patriot Place in comparison to the Galleria Mall. Sure Gillette has the same footprint (within reason) of every other NFL stadium, I am talking about the entirety of the complex, and implementing something very similar in Buffalo, so total area should be taken into account. If you can get it to work within a street grid great, but how many blocks of downtown land/street scape will be dedicated to parking lots? Tear down the main place mall, it is a disaster/eye sore. Fun fact that used to be a "park" in the middle of the city. It was green space for public use/gatherings It would be cool, and work well with canalside if that were turned into some sort of walking plaza.
