Rd 6, Pick 219: CB Daequan Hardy, Penn State
appoo replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
think he's just too small to play on the perimeter where he'd get sealed on the sideline by bigger WRs. You want this kid covering in space where he can't get boxed out, and can use his speed and quickness. He'll be Cam Lewis' primary competition to make the roster I think -

I've followed this kid as a lightly recruited 3* kid out of Pittsburgh who Franklin wanted but no one else really did (PSU was his only P5 offer), to turning himself into one of the best slot corners in the Big 10. Kid can fly, very good in coverage, and is gonna be a great teammate. Pure fighter. -

You don't need to wonder, he already told us.

Exactly. Whay happens if Cook goes down for a few games?

Don't think he's that kind of athlete at TE but I certainly hope so!

Shorter is going to be the 5th or 6th WR in the room. I never said elite. They're all pretty good. Take a look at how the Packers built their WR room. Versatility. we don't ened elite WRs when you have 17, you need a plethora of good ones
-
versatility in the best thing you can have in your WR corps, if you don't have a JJ or Ja'Marr Chase, and the Bills are now extremely versatile and can offer options at every part of the field. This offense will be flat the best in the Allen era
-
17 now has 4 legit undeneath targets who are all good to great in Kincaid, Knox, Shakir and Curtis Samuel, and then we just added a bona fide deep threat/deeper route concept guy and cn complement him with last year;s 5th rounder who does that in Justin Shorter, and whats brand new compared to last season, 2 of those underneath guys can be deep guys and YAC guys in Shakir and Samuel. Then you also have James Cook who is a top 3 weapon out of the backfield in thee NFL. If Allen cant crush it with what he's been given, then he's not the guy we think he is - and already proven to be. This WR set is now deeper, faster, and better than anything Allen has had since 2021, and possibly then to because there's more versatility here

You realize we had exactly 3 legit rotation players at DT yes? Like Ankou and DeShawn Williams are practice squad level players. Like Williams singed a $1M deal. at 31. You could have argued that DT rotation was a bigger need than perimeter WR, because at least Justin Shorter exists.

3 picks, 3 potential starters/legit rotation players. Can't ask for more than that

Gabe Davis - 4.54 40 Also Gabe Davis: ( a video of Davis going God Mode against the Chiefs in the playoffs, which eventually earned him a ginormous 2nd contract)

I swear we'd universally get better football content if the sport stop running the 40

Bills interested in Deebo Samuel per Mike Giardi
appoo replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
The issue isn't the Niners saving cap space, but how would the Bills fit Deebo's 20.9M base salary into a $2M cap -

My thing is post June 1? They might have to send someone like Kair Elam the other direction, but they can afford a Cortland Sutton Beane isn't just going to sit on 10M of cap space -

I do believe the Bills would have to trade someone, though honestly because of Dead Cap and bonus money paid I'm not even sure that would work to find 15M of cap space -

I dunno if the NFL rules allow for this, but for the Bills to get Deebo or Aiyuk they'd have to get an extension in place prior to the trade so they don't break the cap when they take on their contract. Aiyuk is much more likely as his on his 5th year
