JSP has been a Yankees fan for about 4 years, by admission.

The biggest bandwagon-jumper to the rescue! Why not join the Patriots board? Pretty sure I gave a shout-out to CC and said that Petite is a vet stud with health concerns. The Yanks staff is still no match for the Phillies, although Mariano is unrivaled and the Yankee bats are better. If the Yankees and Phillies make it to the WS, it would be a great and also better rematch.

This series was more H2...but good enough. That second game was a disaster of poor play. Phils just made fewer mistakes. Hamels' performance last night would be the talk of the series if not for Halladay's no-hitter. Only one base runner got to scoring position all night and he never had more than one base runner at any time. Total dominance. With those three starters, the Phils need only two to be firing to win a 7 game series and if all three are on, it's lights out. Add that to the Phillies lineup and it's hard to imagine them not winning the WS.

The ump comes up in a game where the Reds hit 4 batsmen and had 4 errors after they built a 4-0 lead? Really? 100% Reds implosion.

Guess you built up the Internet tough guy muscles messing with the likes of conner.

It spoke for itself but I deleted it. No I don't want to discuss. Maybe you'd like to talk about what I just deleted too?

They still have some serious issues to overcome. At least we're not this level of screwed up. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/10/08/china.internet/

Yankees = Patriots

No doubt. The questions about the Yankees pitching do not include questions about their closer.

Seems to be struggling more of late. Don't get me wrong: He's a beast. He just doesn't seem to be pitching at his best late this season. And after him, the starters are questionable. Petite is a clutch player but Yankees fans have to be holding their breath as he takes the mound.

I wouldn't count on the Twins to knock them out...might have to wait for the Rays.

If you're trying to be civil, act like it and don't put words in my mouth. You argued that if being homosexual was genetic (something you don't believe I suspect), then gay people would be secure in their "gayness." I refuted that by pointing out that people with defects they are born with are not necessarily "secure" in them. Just because you're born a certain way doesn't make you secure in it. See a world of plastic surgery, hair coloring, hair restoration, tanning, etc. for proof. Gays have a rising insecurity. What you're seeing is more gay people talking about how it's hard to be gay. They can talk about it more because the closet is more open than it once was. People are telling their stories in life to help those still going through the awful experience of hiding in the closet. Consider what happened as women's rights started to rise in the 60s. Suddenly there was a spike in spousal abuse reporting. Lots of people said, "See, women's rights groups are making the family into a battle zone." In fact what happened was that women were getting brave enough to report the abuse they'd been getting in silence for hundreds of years. The "rising" insecurity you perceive is not a "rise" at all, but merely a moment where homosexual people are finally speaking out openly. BTW, I could care less if it's genetic or by choice. I don't know when I genetically wanted a woman...or when I chose. But either way, no one should stand in the way of my preference. Or tell me I can't marry someone of my choosing. Or make me feel lesser for my choice.

Not this year. This year they are a good team money can buy. Not a World Series champ team. Yankees pitching is way suspect. It's like the Phillies and Yankees switched advantages from last year to this. Last year the Yankees pitching was dominant and the Phillies were suspect after Lee. This year the Yankees pitching is suspect top to bottom, even CC is not himself, and the Phils pitching is amazing.

People born with physical defects are massively uncomfortable with them so your argument makes no sense. Someone with a cleft palate or no legs doesn't walk around as secure as Brad Pitt. The trend to acceptance is perhaps because more people are out talking about homosexuality. Lots of people who aren't gay can now look around them and say, "Well it's not for me but I guess it really isn't that big of a deal." That trend is rising fast. Poll out today says a majority of people support gay marriage. It's just a matter of time before the law catches up.

A six foot hit would have been awful. Amazing outing and our Phillies house was loving every minute of it.

If Moss goes for a 3rd rounder or lower...
Peace replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So would Nix. You couldn't get a 4th for Evans. Or a 5th. Or a 6th. Or a 7th. Why? No team wants his stupid salary. -
I didn't say I rooted for the Flyers. I hate the Flyers. EII accused me of liking the Flyers because I root for the Phillies. I responded by mocking his lahjik that if he likes the Yankees, he must like the Jets. The Yankees are the Cowboys are the Lakers are the Patriots. Bills-Yankees fans deny it but it's true.

2nd worst move by the Bills in my lifetime

The draft is a total crapshoot. The more picks you have, the better. That has been the NE strategy for a long time. Moss>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lynch -
The Redskins Got Jammal Brown for a 4th
Peace replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His argument is that because Brown and Lynch were both traded for a 4th, the Bills could have traded Lynch for Brown. He's talking about NFL trades having the mathematical transitive property, which they don't have. -
There was no 3rd round trading partner.

Who is going to fill the roster that Lynch vacated?
Peace replied to Phil Hansen Forever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone who doesn't matter.
