  1. But in the end doesn't that come down to the marketing and PR guys, not Whaley. They should have a policy about not using certain players in their marketing materials and inform their corporate sponsors to do the same.
  2. It makes sense in my head, especially with how Graham followed up the tweet of "going rogue" with the one about launching an ad and it being embarrassing.
  3. VP of Communications and VP of Corporate Relations are part of the Footbal Ops department, according to the Bills website. That's basically the PR department. Pretty close and they would have dealt with a complaint from M&T about Fred being cut after they had made an ad already.
  4. Yup. He pissed someone off in the marketing department who went right to Tim Graham. And yet he tweeted it.
  5. Exactly. I said the same earlier in the thread. Your boss always wants you around, until he doesn't. And when he doesn't some people take that as he"lied".
  6. I thought I was being pretty clear, apparently not.
  7. I don't follow him because he's a miserable jerk but there are loads of people tweeting him the definition of the word rogue.
  8. Apparently Mr. Graham has gone a step further, it wasn't even the coaches who disagreed: Tim Graham ‏@ByTimGraham He deviated from the wishes of football ops and made the decision without any heads up. #GoingRogue
  9. Damn Rex Ryan just went rogue on Dennis Thurman.
  10. I totally went rogue the other day at work. I handed in some work that nearly everyone at work agreed with but a few people had a problem with it.
  11. So let's get the facts straight. The Pegulas were ok with it. Rex was ok with it. Some coaches on the staff were not. GOING ROGUE!!!
  12. So basically he didn't go rogue....
  13. I think there is a bit of confusion, that comment about Firing Whaley and rehiring FJ wasn't serious. It was a hypothetical to the situation of a GM going rogue and doing things without informing the owner. I don't actually believe Whaley went rogue.
  14. Haha, of course I don't trust Graham.
  15. I agree. I don't think they look bad at all. I think they agree with the cut and are letting Whaley shape the roster. If I had to guess Graham used the word rogue purposefully because that's how he sees the situation.
  16. I have no doubt that he did. I'm merely advancing ideas, in my mind, that don't fit with this idea that Whaley went rogue.
  17. I'm not saying Whaley should get fired, I don't think that at all. I think they let Whaley do his job but the way this is being described is that their is dysfunction within the organization. If there really was as much dysfunction as Graham has you believe and the Bills GM is "going rogue" isn't it possible the owners look bad for doing nothing about it.
  18. Permission may have been the wrong word. Consulted, maybe informed. "Going rogue" is none of those things. I'm sure they let Whaley do his job but in March when Fred was first rumored of being cut the Pegulas jumped in.
  19. Consulted, with a fan favorite like Fred, yes. Kept in the loop about how the roster is shaping up, yes.
  20. How the heck do they look like savvy owners when they let an employee fire another employee without their permission?
  21. Huh? Why wait? They've wronged Fred, they fired an employee without permission from the owner, surely you make that situation right by cutting ties with Whaley and rehiring Fred.
