Bills' 2016 Training Camp - Day 2
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last year they seemed to have a schedule and would go around to each team, I remember when they visited he Bills because they put up that TV set. This year it's just really really boring because it's the same story every single day. Who took the reps at QB in Pats** camp? What will the Giants look like under Ben McAdoo? How cool is it that the Rams are in LA? Are the Cowboys are going to dominate now that Tony Romo is back? Maybe it's because it's so early? It'd be nice to just see more. It's not even that it's not the Bills, it's no other teams. -
Bills' 2016 Training Camp - Day 2
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I'm bored of NFLN training camp live, already. It's been Pats** updates, Giants updates, Cowboys updates, Broncos updates and Rams updates... For 3 days now. I get it, they are the popular teams and Jimmy G is staring the first 4 games but Jesus move on! -
Chris Hogan talks about why he wanted out of Buffalo
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don't think he'll even get a chance to prove himself in NE this season. Maybe next year? The Patriots have Gronk, Edelman, Bennett, and Amendola ahead of Hogan. And let's not forget they also have Lewis coming out of the backfield. That's 5 guys I'd put ahead of Hogan to receive targets. If you don't think Lewis gets targets, he had 50 targets in 8 games for the Pats last year. When they signed Hogan, Bennett wasn't even on the team yet and the Pats may have not thought they were going to get him. Look at it like this: Last year the Pats averaged 39 passing att per game. Gronk avg. 8 targets per game Edelman avg. 9.7 targets per game Amendola avg. 6 targets per game Dion Lewis avg. 6.25 targets per game(before he was hurt) That's 30 targets just there. Now add Bennett to the fold, who I would guess will get 5+ a game and there is scraps for Hogan especially when you factor in the other RBs. I realize that injuries happen and that'll factor in but at this point, I just don't see it. -
Just finished binge watching. Loved it.

July Movies: Star Trek, Jason Bourne, BFG, and Tarzan
Wayne Cubed replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I have no interest in seeing or watching Guostbusters. For me, it's because it's a reboot. The original is such a classic comedy that this version will now always be compared to it. And I don't think the cast is all that spectacular. Wiig is alright but McCarthy is way too over the top. I feel like this is going for the easy laugh. The original was well written by Ramis/Ackroyd and clever. -
RIP Buddy, condolences to the Ryans. Always will remember "The Punch".

America's favorite fast food restaurants
Wayne Cubed replied to ALF's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I tend to separate places like Five Guys, In and Out, and Chipotle into short order category, not fast food. Old diners were considered short order, you wouldn't call them fast food. -
Man, Portugal just can't get it going. They've been very cold this entire tournament.

The one thing that will hold up Scottish Independence will be the pound. The Scots will again, want to keep it. They have A LOT of financial ties to England. I don't think the EU will let them in with the pound and I don't think England will let them keep the pound.

Dareus All-In with Rex Ryan's Defense
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's about understanding what Rex tries to do. He likes to exploit match-ups and get guys one-on-one. Whether that's the DE, DT, NT, LB or someone blitzing. It's what annoyed Mario. He wants to be able to just do his thing and he was asked to just occupy blockers, so he mailed it in. Even when he wasn't asked to occupy blockers and was allowed to pin his ears back, he didn't get home. It definitely was not, "Well all the guys on the line were in 2-gap alignments all season". -
Dareus All-In with Rex Ryan's Defense
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason this gets repeated around here. He did not have 2-gap responsibilities all the time. Ryan's defense has both 1-gap and 2-gap for all players along the defensive line. Some players are even allowed to freelance and line up how they like. Muhammed Wilkerson lined up in both 1-gap and 2-gap alignment in Ryan's scheme. Yes, Ryan's scheme incorporates 2-gap alignments but it is not a hard and fast rule. -
I know the Raiders have been to the playoffs more recently, 2002, but their 13 seasons after that have been much much worse. They haven't had a winning season since 2003, the Bills have had 2. They've only won 63 games, the Bills have won 86. They also had just been to the Super Bowl in 2002, what a way to carry that excitement on and follow it up with a 4-12 season, then a 5-11, then a 4-12, then a 5-11, then a 2-14. I don't know what's worse, completely bottoming out, like the Raiders have or living in mediocrity like the Bills have?

Highly-processed GMO plant-based 'fake beef' vs. grass-fed beef. Thanks, I'll stick with the beef. Also, cows and other grazing animals are able to extract nutrients, which humans can then consume, from places that aren't able to be farmed.

Topic of the day for Tuesday 6/21--Replace kick offs
Wayne Cubed replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think if you kept it like the idea Bandit is talking about, you wouldn't see a massive increase at all. Team gets ball and it's 4th and 15, for kickoffs. They can still go for an "onsides" kick by going for it, or punt it away. Players still line up like a normal punt. -

Wayne Cubed replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As far as punts go? Injury rates are lower on punts than they are on kickoffs, pass plays and run plays. Of course thats reported injuries but usually the reported ones are the serious ones. In 2011 when they did the change to kickoffs, kickoffs injury rates were nearly double of punts. And they were much higher than pass plays and run plays. Yea, compare that to 2010 before the rule change and the return rate was something like 80%. -
Topic of the day for Tuesday 6/21--Replace kick offs
Wayne Cubed replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think kickoffs at this point are basically dead. Only 41% of kickoffs were returned last year, the lowest ever. The average return last year was 23.5 yards and only 20% went for more than 30 yards. I think you'll see even less teams risk running it out. I know some think that teams will try to squib kick it or something but I think the chances of messing that up will force teams to just kicking it deep. With that being said, I think going to some sort of a punt setup would be a nice replacement. -

Are you saying eliminate kickoff and replace with punts or just eliminate punts? -

Topic of the day for Sunday 6/12--EJ Manuel
Wayne Cubed replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Huh? He never tied the game, what are you on about? The closest EJ got the score to was Bills 24 Jags 27. The defense scored the next TD and EJ did nothing with 2:16 left in the game. -

Wayne Cubed replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He doesn't get credit because he didn't "bring us back". He never scored points to put the Bills ahead, the defense did. And he got the ball, with 2:16 left, after Jacksonville retook the lead and made 3 short passes and threw an incomplete pass on 4th down. Game over. So no, it's not pathetic. He literally did not lead the Bills back. -

Show me a team that follows conventional wisdom, doesn't take risks and follows a pack like mentality over decade long periods. -

You can't be serious. 6 different GMs and 2 different owners in the last 16 years, not to mention the complete retooling of the scouting department, and you think you can "draw conclusions" as if those same 8 people all had the same concept on drafting over decades? The game has changed. The players have changed. The personnel departments have changed. Are you suggesting that the Bills draft the same way they did back in 1990s?
