  1. I am not afraid to say, I always like this song. We should play it before every game!
  2. Jessica Pegula, daughter of Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula, earned a spot in the U.S. Open with a qualifying-round victory overMelanie Oudin, who reached the quarterfinals in 2009 at age 17. Pegula, 21, topped Oudin 7-6 (10-8), 6-0 Friday at the National Tennis Center in New York. She’ll make her first Grand Slam singles appearance in the main draw at the last major tennis tournament of the year, which starts Aug. 31. Pegula was born in Buffalo to Kim and Terry Pegula, a real estate and natural-gas executive who sold his firm East Resources Inc. to Royal Dutch Shell PLC in 2010 for $4.9 billion. The family owns the Bills, the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres and has donated $1.2 million over the past five years to start a men’s and women’s hockey program at Penn State. Jessica Pegula began playing tennis at age 7, and is ranked No. 257 in the world. She’s winless in two WTA singles events this year. A right-hander with a two-handed backhand, Pegula’s best finish in the WTA’s year-end rankings was No. 147 in 2012. She played in the U.S. Open doubles draw in 2012 (with Madison Keys) and 2011 (with Taylor Townsend), and her career earnings are $206,784. Oudin, 23, was attempting to qualify for the U.S. Open main draw for the first time in three years. She had a heart ailment and has been unable to return to the form she showed as a teenager in 2009, when she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon, then upset former No. 1 Maria Sharapova on center court at the U.S. Open. Pegula’s first-round opponent will be determined later today.
  3. I saw somebody wearing this jacket and I thought it was cool but now I can't find it anywhere. I know it is a couple years old but usually I can find things like this on ebay or craigslist. Does anybody know where I can find one? Anybody want to sell me an XL?
  4. I think a better question would be, will the Bills win a playoff game before the Sabres win a playoff series? Either way, I think the Sabres are in a better position than the Bills. They have a lot of talent in the pipe. The Bills have some holes are going to keep them out of the playoffs for a while (I hope I am wrong on that).
  5. Why do people keep talking about a smaller 60k seat stadium? The bills have less trouble selling out games than other teams with smaller stadiums. When this team is good, it can sell out a huge stadium. We are not the jaguars or the raiders who tarp off entire sections of the upper deck in order to 'fill' the stadiums. I understand that we need luxury boxes but don't sacrifice the atmosphere/home field advantage because buffalo is a small city. Build a 100k seat stadium with all the boxes you want, we will come.
  6. My sister just got married and walked down the aisle to Shout! Check it out here: I think she might now officially be the biggest Bills fan out there.
  7. I think you mean the Florida State Seminoles
  8. The Bills have sucked against the run for the passed eight years because our LBs suck. Kiko is the first real talent we have had at the position in a long time. The Bills will fail to resign Byrd and draft a safety in the first round. The talent level will be exactly the same on a net basis. Just another example of the revolving door of talent that has been plaguing this organization for years.
  9. Has anybody noticed how much Ron Jaworski looks like Mark Geragos?
  10. I am moving to the Bay Area this summer and will be at this game. I also believe there is safety in numbers. Are we getting a section together?
  11. At this point, I have to start wondering if there is anything us Bills fans can do to advocate on Andre's behalf. This was clearly the worst inductee class in recent memory and Andre is running out of time. We could start a website or send letters to voters or buy billboards or something. He gave us a lot of good memories, we could try to accomplish something for him.
  12. Harrison is a moron. He is going to seriously injure himself or another player because he has no respect for other players in the league. I am all for physical play and I agree that the league is getting too soft but he is literally using his body as a weapon.
  13. McGee is not a very good corner! If you need a first down and you are playing the Bills, you throw at McGee. He doesn't get beat deep because he plays so far off the line. He is always there to make the tackle a few yards beyond the sticks but forget about a breakup. I will give him credit as a good return man in his day. McKelvin is our best corner. I think both Florence and Corner have enough skill to be a solid #2. Obviously, the pass rush wasn't great in a 4-3 with Schobel and totally sucks with the same players (minus Schobel) being forced into a 3-4. How can we even think about a 3-4 with the LBs we have on this team?
  14. Having a team in Buffalo will always be better than no team, no matter how bad that team is. Buffalo fans deserve a championship and with no team at all we can never win a Superbowl. Even in these dark times, I still have a kernel of faith that the organization's ultimate goal is to win. They have made a lot of bad decisions over the past 10 years but in this league it only take a couple seasons to go from nothing to playoff contender. Despite the Kelsay signing, I still believe the new FO is better than what was there a year ago. They decided this team has no talent when they came in and are starting from scratch to rebuild it. I would rather they do it in Buffalo than LA.
  15. Rob Johnson But I have to throw Terrence McGee in there too. He is a good return man but I cannot believe he was a starting corner (even our #1 at times). I used to play football with my friends and whenever someone wanted to run directly at their corner and turn left they would say, "I'm running a Mcgee." He sits back and lets receivers run their routes with no trouble but is there to make the tackle. Meanwhile the stick move again.
