  1. didn't know he was from Sherrill, NY
  2. 11 - 5 tying NE for division lead
  3. this is also on Pro Football Talk. He was never charged so it should be disregarded IMO
  4. no question Bortles acquitted himself well in the playoffs. Let's see if it carries over to the regular season. If it does the Jags could be unbeatable
  5. Bengals, Dolphins, Jags and Cardinals are all worse than us at QB
  6. we are in the lower bowl and went ten rows higher and 12 seats closer to midfield in same price point. Quite pleased
  7. hopefully there are less recalls on Josh Allen than there are on the Santa Fe I noticed that Hyundai vehicle had no license plate. Hopefully it wasn't stolen
  8. the hazing doesn't end when you're a rookie boys. BTW be sure to catch my Menudo tribute show off Broadway this summer
  9. Yes the article is dumb but it raises an interesting question: How many drafts does a new regime get before its roster is filled with players of their choosing? Once a team is at that point we are in No Excuses territory. This was definitely a 2 tier draft: if Edmunds and Allen succeed it's a winner. The other picks feel like long shots although I expect Teller to make the roster and start before the end of the 2018 season.
  10. trying not to assume the worst
  11. always liked him and felt he never got his due. He and I exchanged tweets. It was when the internet story about the British girl who thought that the US president was Barraco Barner. I asked him if he had an uncle who was president.
  12. the #Shetoo movement claims another victim
  13. it's Prince tribute night at Patriot Place. Now all the papers will think I'm going to the Vikings
  14. Anonymous has football execs? I'd love to see their mock draft
  15. great topic. That list reads like a hall of pretty good
  16. I Just finished Don Quixote. What was the last book you read?
  17. Sorry but that column just reinforces what a mediocre writer he is. He offers his opinion and advertises them as facts. There is nothing inhis column thatthe lunch pail fandoesn't already know or couldn't surmise on his own. He is also very selective morally: he refuses to use the word Redskins in his column and obviously supports his openly gay daughter but will not support the collusion cases of Kaepernick or Reid. He likes to masquerade as a beacon of progressive values but refuses to touch his corporate master, the NFL. In other words, he is a hypocrite and corporate shill. No wonder the MSM is on its last legs.
  18. so is Bill Romanowski
  19. if we have outsmarted BB on this we should immortalize the day of Gillislee's cut as the dawn of a new era. So was it Beane or Whaley who should get the credit?
  20. Beane's candor about what went on behind the scenes is refreshing. It also shows that we have a methodology in place and an absolute ceiling and floor for what we'll pay. Meanwhile the draft machinations during the Decade of Fail are shrouded in secrecy. If fans were told how Aaron Maybin was selected it would have been pitchforks and torches at OBD. This shows how far we've come as an organization
  21. I can see Teller winning a starting job in camp
  22. I went into the draft wanting Lamar Jackson but I've bought in
  23. yes it's early but we have plenty of cause for rational optimism. Rex Ryan was right. We really were playoff bound. Just not with him. Breaking the drought and getting a franchise QB are no small matters. I really believe McDermott has instilled a winning culture. It really feels different this time. I no longer harbour superstitious fears of losing in the waning moments of a game just because we are the Bills. This team has learned how to win psychologically. What's more is that it feels like we are following a master plan and that our ownership, management and coaches are working in unified purpose. In my 14 years as a season ticket holder I've never felt as good about the team as I do now. I think the combination of Beane and McDermott could make this a golden era in Bills football.
  24. the trick is to keep your mouth open
