  1. That 9-to-5 office job getting you down? The Goose video for "Hungersite" is sure to lift your spirits!
  2. Goose had a great live album from a 2019 concert at Nietzsche's, and will be back at the Borderland Festival in East Aurora on September 15, also my neck of the woods in June. Awesome jam band.
  3. "Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite."
  4. May want to revise that percentage by a couple decimals... a human would be dead with just 0.4% blood alcohol. 25% is closer to embalmed than drunk 😆
  5. The Sporting News rated him 1st team All Pro in 1990 and 1993, and TSN's All Pro teams are historically recognized by the NFL and HOF.
  6. Yes, numerous sources reported in 2019 he ran a 4.35 at a Harvard pro day that year: https://www.si.com/nfl/saints/news/saints-deonte-harris (Edit: I see you have also located that same article, cheers)
  7. I really don't think one guaranteed contract from one of the worst-run franchises in professional sports will become a binding precedent for all major QB negotiations going forward. Agents (or QB moms) are free to ask for whatever they want, but I expect the Watson contract will prove to be an outlier (if not an outright cautionary tale).
  8. Interesting math. Jackson threw for 36 TDs in his 2019 MVP season, while Jones has thrown for 60 TDs in his career. Jones also had a higher QBR and more wins than Jackson this past season, and won as many playoff games as Jackson has in his career.
  9. That "THE" originates with Joan Baez's well-known cover version (along with other misheard bits), not Robbie Robertson's original lyrics. http://theband.hiof.no/lyrics/night_they_drove_old_dixie_down.html https://theband.hiof.no/articles/dixie_viney.html ...back on topic: cut everyone, move the team to Toronto, nuke the turf at Highmark.
  10. Considering all 32 teams are on board with this NFL policy, and many of these will be new positions initially funded by the league, who you think would have standing to file suit against it?
  11. There was a legitimate chance Dorsey would follow Daboll to NYG.
  12. “Hello everybody! Did someone say… A Perfect Game??”
  13. And I hope the junkyard a few blocks from here Someday burns down And I hope the rising black smoke carries me far away And I never come back to this town again … I am drowning There is no sign of land You are coming down with me Hand in unlovable hand And I hope you die I hope we both die
  14. Guess it’s all on Allen and Daboll now! 🙌
  15. Curse of a small market team going up against the latest QB darling of the league...
  16. Manziel only played 2 years in college, fyi.
