  1. The quote is that McCoy's camp said the release came out of left field. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/lesean-mccoy-surprisingly-out-in-buffalo-as-bills-cut-ties-with-veteran-running-back/ https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/08/31/buffalo-bills-cut-lesean-mccoy-devin-singletary
  2. I just would have preferred that the GM and Coach did not speak publicly like he would be the starter up to the moment they cut him. I hope that there is more to the story. And I hope that the announcement did not really come out of the blue to McCoy. They should have at least talked to him first.
  3. Anderson is really a consultant at this point. If he sees the field again this season, something has gone horribly wrong... Again!
  4. Still need that big, physical receiver. Not at 9 but if Boykin is available in round 2 or 3... I would like the pick. Metcalf looks like he lacks the agility to run all the routes.
  5. I really like Miles Boykin! Plenty fast with great size. He also has the agility and quickness to run all the routes. As a senior, he also has some level of maturity.

  7. Bevell threw the ball at the 1 yard line... IN THE SUPER BOWL!!
  8. I would agree that there are silly instances when people choose to be offended by non-offensive things but I don't believe this is one. Some have already alluded to McNair's history of saying insensitive things so that's why I stated that this just revealed his mindset. I will leave the rest of this to those who this really affects, the Texans players. Great Bills win today! I would gladly give each one of you a high-five about that!
  9. Haha. Not really. I just don't think anyone should tell anyone else whether they should be offended or not. I wasn't personally offended but I do understand why a Texans player would be offended. I just tried to express that.
  10. The Texans players were offended by their "owner" referring to players as inmates... Yep. That's "ghetto".
  11. The fact that you don't "give a ****" tells me all I need to know. You might as well say "Don't tell me anything is wrong with anything, I am happy in my ignorance."
  12. What's funny was that my original post was to point out why using this phase in the context of that discussion was troubling and revealing of McNair's mindset. you obviously don't agree and that's fine. Time to move on. My original post again: "Posted Today, 06:27 PM I have not read all the replies in this thread but... I have seen that some think that this is just a common phrase that the Texans players are reacting sensitively to. Well, consider the fact that the meeting was called to discuss the players' protest to draw attention to racial inequality and the vast majority of protesters are black. Who then are the inmates? Google the incarceration rates by race yourself and you will have to agree that this is not just a simple turn of phrase."
  13. Man up? Really? What has this to do with manhood? My original post said vast majority were black since you wish to jump in midstream.
  14. They do. That's why I know that context means everything when something is said. A lot of horrible things have been around for hundreds of years.
  15. No. My point was that the owners were discussing the actions of black players so the "inmates" in this phrase would be those black players. For that I was called a moron. That's all.
  16. No, I am actually a Harvard educated African American who is acutely aware of what is racist and what is not. I didn't call anyone any names here. Read my original post again. Using "inmates" and "prison" when you are expressly discussing the actions of players who the vast majority are African-Americans reveals the mindset of that person.

  18. Sounds better... they originally just said 6th
  19. Not mad with the trade but would have liked to see a conditional pick that could end up being a 4th based on performance and usage.
  20. I have no problem with letting Dareus go but I do believe that he should have held out for more than a sixth round pick. At least tell me that it's a conditional pick that could end up being a 4th based on performance and usage.
  21. So far, the Pegulas have shown no evidence that they know what they are doing with either franchise.
  22. The real impact of this trade will not be known for 3 or 4 years. Breathe!
