  1. Yeah people don't realize AJ Green caught 65% of his balls inside of ten yards. Granted only like 14% were behind the line of scrimmage, but the point is you want to get the ball in to your star player's hands ASAP. Even Megatron made 54% of his catches within 10 yards and only 11% over 20 yards.
  2. I had heard previously that Erkie Kailbourne was involved in the trust. Perhaps he is an advisor and not a voting member. I don't know much about Koshinski, but I wonder if he simply pulled names from the RCW Foundation: http://ralphwilsonfoundation.org/index.php/about-us
  3. My mistake. I saw his name on a list of GOP contributors, but upon further inspection he endorses and donates to a wide variety of parties and causes.
  4. Yeah I can see the Bills still trading with with Atlanta to jump Tampa so they can pick Evans if Watkins is gone. Evans would be a nice consolation prize, and even tho I think Watkins is superior, Evans may be the better fit for the Bills after all.
  5. Pegula, Jacobs, and Golisano are republicans too That was about Russ Brandon taking over.
  6. Those Forbes articles are making an estimation on what's publicly available. His East Resource company wasn't "worth" over 4 billion until he sold it. From what I understand, and of course I could be wrong, Pegula also owns and/or has invested in a number of other companies that own land prime for drilling/fracking. Again, I'm no expert, but I think that unless a company is publicly traded, they are under no obligation to disclose details about their internal structure. I recall seeing Pegula's name tied to JKLM Energy and some other "small" companies that own land and have sought drilling permits in PA, WV, OH, NY and places out west in and around the rockies. How much he stands to benefit from those sites is up for speculation, and I don't think Forbes "counts" that in a precise manner when calculating his net worth.
  7. I've heard something similar. He still has unsold land in West Virginia and somewhere else that's likely worth a pretty penny to oil/gas developers.
  8. Caldwell knows that Watkins is on everyone's radar and is trying to get value if it's available in a trade. "If you want Watkins, we might take him, so you better trade with us instead of Browns/Raiders/Falcons..." Jax is either going to get Mack or Clowney. I'm thinking Texans take Mack, Rams take Robinson, and Jags get Clowney, unless any of those teams are blown away with a trade offer. Then Browns and Raiders have to take QBs- too risky not to. Falcons want an OT so they trade back with the Bills. Bills take Watkins. BOOM.

  10. Oh I don't think your point is nuts at all. It never ceases to amaze me how many posts I see here that I have to re-read a couple times and still don't know if someone is joking or not. I suppose we are all guilty of posting some questionable stuff, so I'm not judging at all. I was just pointing out that many people (and I wasn't criticizing K-9, since I know he kidding around) talk about "first round picks" while ignoring that there are basically three distinct tiers in most first rounds (IMO), and the Bills and the Pats* haven't overlapped in those tiers in quite some time.
  11. Considering their first round picks have been about 15-20 picks later than the BIlls, it's not really and apples to apples comparison.
  12. This is 100% true. And the rationale for banning cigarettes on one's person is illogical. By getting rid of the designated smoking areas, the Bills created the problem of enforcing an extremely difficult thing to enforce. So their solution is to create another rule that's even more difficult to enforce?
  13. No ACL/MCL/PCL tears, but he did have a small tear in his meniscus. You are right tho, that isn't as serious as tearing one of the big three. Disagree about Hackett. If EJ had let it fly more often, and had some better o line play, I think it'd be clear that Hackett has a good head on his shoulders. I'm begging everyone who is down on Hackett to check the all-22 tape. There was so much left on the field and IMO most of it was on the QB, be it EJ or the other guys. EDIT: To answer the OP's question, I don't know. I believe he can develop into what we need, but I'm not sold that he will. I am cautiously optimistic.
  14. I also heard Jets "for sure" as of yesterday when I reached out to my "source" after seeing your initial post. Interestingly enough, the Packers game was not confirmed.
  15. Totally agree but wish it wasn't a seemingly either/or proposition
  16. I agree that it's a great trade and Mike Williams is an exceptional WR. I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I am familiar with his local "support system." While I absolutely think it's possible that he turns over a new leaf and that the trade could serve as a wake up call, if he and/or the Bills do not take concrete measures to insulate him from "drama," I think he will continue to make negative headlines.
  17. We can absolutely agree to disagree, although I think we are in agreement in a lot of ways. I certainly respect your opinion, as you have proved rather knowledgeable over the years. To put my contention another way; Independent of our opinions of Spiller, no player outside of a QB is going to singlehandedly "win games" for a club in the modern era. Spiller's draft position has no bearing on my opinion of how he should or could be used, nor his potential impact. Even though I think he is a dynamic player and you do not, whatever his actual value may be is marginalized by weak QB play, weak O line play, and weak WR play (which is IMO tied to weak QB play). The same can be said for Hackett, whom I think is brilliant form an Xs and Os standpoint. So, we can agree to disagree on Spiller, but the crux of my point did not have to do with Spiller in a vacuum. I'm only referring to Spiller in comparison to the rest of the offense. A perceptive football mind like yours would key on Spiller at the expense of others when facing the Bills, wouldn't it?
  18. Well, I do think Spiller is a dynamic player. He's not AP, but even AP, whom I think all would agree is a dynamic player, can only get you so far. Maybe a sniff at the playoffs. My point is that calling Spiller trash or "just a guy" isn't fair because the Bills had no other viable option, and everyone knew it. So to use that as an indictment of Spiller or Hackett is foolish IMO.
  19. I'm a Mike Williams fan having met him but only way I see this working out is if the Bills hire a chaperone or find some other way to keep him out of trouble. Maybe things have changed in the last year and a half, but if recent news is any indication, the guy has a lot of growing up to do.
  20. apparently as a CB since Byrd is the FS. Figured Champ's next stop would have him playing centerfield.
  21. ugh so many of you dont get that spiller was the number one weapon banged up or not. If you were playing the Bills and had to game plan against their offense you would key in on Spiller every play and dare someone else to beat you. EJ hasnt proven he can consistently. Healthy Spiller was good enough to make Gailey look good (if 6-10 is good), but banged up Spiller was not enough to make Hackett and his carousel of QBs look good, especially since the book was out on Spiller.
  22. I think it can be argued that the NFL is failing in Jacksonville. I don't really disagree with the rest of your post, especially in light of relocating the Bills. Not only is there an inherent risk in a new market, the league would be walking away from an established market, albeit relatively small. Expansion is one thing- relocating adds another important dimension.
