I saw an interesting thing on ESPN or NFL channel this weekend. It was a list of advice points Belicheat had given one of his coordinator who was moving on to a HC job. Number 2 was do not hire/thrust your friends, they will disapoint you. I hope Maronne caught that bit. But what I really hope for is that he won't be to proud to learn from it.

Belichicky has to be in the top 5 best coach of all time. He could be number one by leaving NE and come to Buffalo, win 2 or 3 superbowls to prove he can win anywhere.

I would prefer a KC type turnaround.

I would not care about that if I was a GM. I am hiring a headcoach not a coordinator. I think that over and over, GMs make the same mistake of hiring people that do well as coordinators. The skils required to be a headcoach are significantly different.

And don't point out Crossman's history at Detroit or Carolina. Maybe you all feel he should not have been hired in the first place, but Marrone disagreed and one year is typically not enough time to quit on someone trying to build something. If Marrone thought Crossman was a fail, he'd fire him now to save himself, not keep him around and have his "old friend" screw up his career-- that don't make walkin' around sense. Marrone might be wrong, but people have no quality information to judge the situation, and Marrone does. This a ridiculous statement. How can you not look at past history? Not only you have past history and then ad the fact that the team went fom 8th in league to freaking 30th. That is 30th out of 32. Or a drop of 24 spots. There is no excuse for that. If it was 15th, than ok, let's give it another year.
